- I met many Ukrainians in Poland. Some have been forced to live in Poland because of the war, while others have returned to Ukraine, knowing the dangers. Many areas are still occupied by Russian troops. Evidence emerging from land recaptured by Ukrainian forces shows that Ukrainian civilians are subjected to war crimes in areas occupied by Russian forces. Indiscriminate attacks on all parts of Ukraine have also resumed. Continued assistance is needed.

Purpose of this project: Do you know the 10,000 Hour Rule?
To put it simply, this is a rule that defines that "in order to acquire a world-level technical skill, it is necessary to take 10,000 hours of deliberate practice."
However, the 10,000 Hour Rule is said to lack enough scientific evidences.
That is why I decided to verify this rule using my own life.
That is this project, "What if a Beginner Practiced Guitar for 10,000 Hours?"

What brand of guitar is it
I studied for years with several different teachers. I reached an intermediate level eventually, when a new teacher remarked "I'm surprised you can play as well as you do with such small hands." Nobody had ever mentioned that to me in all the years I had been studying. I finally got a smaller scale instrument, which was definitely easier for me to play, but soon became old and lost my hand flexibility. A life-long wannabe, alas.
Uau
When people tell me that they can’t learn guitar because their hands are too small I show them my hands and tell them to try again
Same with me learning Japanese. I MUCH PREFER someone telling me I am doing it poorly and giving me advice versus saying nothing.
Ah...você chegou no nível intermediário, nem todos chegam a esse nível.
Felicidades.🇧🇷
bro that story is tragic ;-;
I've been playing electric guitar for almost thirty years. I recently started taking lessons to get out of a rut. My teacher asked if I could read music and I, embarrassingly, said no. There is nothing more humbling than playing for all those years and starting with Aura Lee note for note. Great video and very motivating!
I went through the same thing. I felt like I was in kindergarten playing guitar for the first time. I could play all kinds of metal and other rock based music on easy steel electric strings but classical was another animal and showed me I knew nothing about music and the guitar.
99.99% if guitar players cannot read music
@@Kyrelel which sucks because once you learn it opens a whole new world of possibilities. It's also fairly easy to learn.
I am the exact opposite lmao I need to read music for everything, either sheet music or tab notation, whatever. I just can't play by ear which sucks cuz I would love to have that skill.
@@squirrel_82 do you have advice for a beginer like me?
Nice progress on classical guitar but your description should clearly state that you had already (as taken from a comment you wrote in this video's comments section) "played electric guitar for 700 hours before I started playing classical guitar." 700 hours already logged playing electric guitar doesn't make you a beginner with classical guitar.
(Edited: After my original comment above, to his credit Kotaro updated the video's Description by adding the "Whole Guitar Progress is here (Not restricted to the classical guitar)" link.)
Exactly. Click bait bullshit

Hello from Kharkiv, Ukrainian city near to russia. Thank you for your support to Ukraine!
Thank you too for your massage. I wish safety and freedom for Ukraine!
The first song I learned on the guitar was Romance de Amor 😂 I didn't realize how hard it was, I just loved it so much. In all honesty, I think it's a relatively easy piece to learn BUT infusing it with emotions/mastering it is something else entirely.
Yes. Exactly!!
Bruh same
Part 1 ez, part 2...😅isnt at all
it is called "romance anonimo" and not romance de amor
No it is an easy song. It's a weird choice for 387 hours.
Had my classical guitar stolen from the trunk of my car. Had my car windows shattered but it was the classical guitar that was given to me that has me broken... It might not have been a high end guitar but it made my days better when I played it.
It's so sad...
Miserable people those ones
I'm from Pernambuco and I was very happy to know that João Pernambuco reached you so far
And I'm very happy to know Pernambuco! 😁
@@KotaroGuitar It's so beautiful
Used to have the same guitar years ago. Played for almost 10 years and loved it.
But, I let life get too busy for me and I stopped making time.
Even if you can play just 30 minutes a day. Don't stop playing. It's worth it.
Thank you. I'll keep on playing!!!
In my 12 of teaching, I ve never had a student who progress so quick,if it's real than you are God gifted,
And it will be nice to see you more of yours in the future
I noticed the same thing at the 66 hour mark/piece. I think there is a small sleight of hands here in that he is also studying electric guitar in other videos and this may be 66 hours (or however many hours) focused just on classical.
Liar!
@@bretttuley6537 If you only have played electric guitar, you simply can't have that kind of sound on a classical after only 66 hours. That kind of touch and dexterity of the right hand, you can achive only after several months of practise
I learned the Romance de Amor at the fundamental level, but now I move to the electric, but classical guitar is more challenging than shreding.
I liked the interpretation of João Pernambuco's work.Greetings from Brazil.
WOAH, keep up the epic journey!
Thank you!!!!!
Brilliant. You must have a knowledgable teacher. Lovely technique!
Thank you very much!!!!
I feel like going straight out and purchasing a classical guitar after watching this, what beautiful playing, thank you!
@programxxx Yes I was a little doubtful that he's a beginner! Either way though, to someone like me who is a beginner, it seems like beautiful playing :-)
@programxxx Agreed! Because beginners usually do not understand how to hit the string without curving your fingers for quite a long time! I have been playing Classical guitar since I was 4-5 and only fully understood and mastered this concept a few months back. I do not believe this is only 700 hour of practice
@@KebabGuitarist2408 can you please elaborate on Hand positioning? What do you mean not curve your finger
@@CutTheCrapAndKissMe Well I guess I was a little unclear on what I meant. What I meant is that a mistake many beginners often do is that they do not keep their fingers on their right hand stiff enough while playing. This means their fingers can often curve backwards and not give as full of a tone. This more fullness of a tone makes a quite a big difference on how a piece sounds. Without it it can sounds very sloppy and not as pleasing. If you still think this is unclear I can send you a demonstration
Wow, that's great!!! Good luck to all of us!!!
Right off, you were adding musicianship to your efforts. Nice to watch your persistence and progress.
Thank you very much!!!!!
Love this:) I got a guitar today, I'm really excited to learn more and more:D
That's nice!! Good luck for all of us!! :D
I subscribed and by the way it's me that said that your music is really good 8 47 o clock
Oh, in Kraków old town?? 😄
Very cool. I’ve been playing Lagrima for years and years - sometimes still pretty badly, but sometimes surprisingly beautifully - I was surprised that you played it many hours BEFORE you played Romance, as Romance seems the significantly easier piece from a technical standpoint.
I had the same thought, My first proper solo piece was Romance, and then went to lágrima
overall I find his hour counting sus... just for views imho
Thank you!
Actually, Lagrima was much more difficult.
Thats because he is a liar and the video is made up...he could already make barre chords before he even started, he had 700 hours of playing on the eletric guitar before he even began this video.
I agree with you. All guitarist play Romance Anónimo before Lágrima de Tárrega o Satie. The level its so diferente. I don't like false videos only looking for views . I can't believe It. And he play perfectly Tárrega and Satie, and didn't play right Romance Anónimo... didn't pulse 6th string well, It not sound enough
I'm blown away at your skill so far. I really need to get better and stop slacking off lol.
Thank you so much! Good luck for both of us! ✨

@@KotaroGuitar Besides the fact is is utterly fake...
You learned the exact songs I learned. Though Romance was definitely the first one.
Wow!!!
What the epic efforts you have, brother!! I bow you.
It seems fake.! Satie with 66 hours with barre, with arpeggiated right hand accords with no buzzing, with perfect tone ???? 66 hours, if you practise 6 hours a day you can play it in 10 days from scratch - lousy joke, sorry.
Must be born gifted. I try playing romance for years and still can't get my fingers to coordinate with my brain. Now have to settle for playing heavy metal banging the electric guitars with only power chords and yelling on top of my voice to ape some punk songs. 🤦♂️he can do it in 66hrs.👍👏👏👏
he said he played electric for 700 hours before playing classical
It's not fake. As he says, I played electric for 700 hours before playing classical.
@@KotaroGuitar totally get that. I have played electric guitar for a few years and recently started to learn classical. I found there are many transferable skills. I guess it depends on the kind of foundation you have. If one has played electric and picked up many bad habits it could make learning classical more difficult.
66 hours to 2 chords is not hard buddy, how about you actually practice for once and stop making excuses about others
I play electric guitar and i like metal, grunge and that stuff, but classical guitar is just amaizing ❤❤

And how long had you being playing guitar before classical guitar? It seems you can add vibrato to strings, this is Technique very unlikely within an hour.
I had played electric guitar before I started to play classical guitar.

Excellent! Sounds good!
Thank you very much!!!
It’s fantastic! It reminds me that people can learn a new skill with hundreds of hours practicing, I can’t stop imagining what if I spent time on learning a new thing instead of playing video games. Could I ask if you learned the guitars by self-teaching, or you hired a teacher to help you with?
Thank you!!!
My friend teach me playing sometimes 😄
The end of this story will not be what you expect. I played the piano for 6 years, I started when I was 7, I practiced at least two hours a day. Then I picked up an electric guitar, acoustic guitar, classical guitar, two years drumming, harmonica, I started partying for two years, went to work, 12 years have passed since my last contact with the instrument, and now I could not play anything. I honestly forgot everything, and they say it's like riding a bike - that's not true.
oh gosh, i thought i am alone with this ! I've played electric guitar for 4 years and then lost motivation to do so. 2 years ago I tried back to playing and I felt like I grabbed my guitar for the first time ! Ok that time I had ability to "remind" myself a couple of songs but that's all. Every crazy techniques and progress in those has been lost. The same went for my bass guitar. I wish I could back to guitars, but I can't afford that much time (for now).
there is no way you can have such control and execution in 66 hours or 738 hours
That's an asian thing, I guess
No
But I did
@@KotaroGuitar Who are you fooling. I despise people like you, absolutely disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself. If you want clout, this is not the way to go. This is all terribly fake. Even guitar teachers know you are not a beginner. Your lies are terrible and really seem intentional to piss us off at this point
Yes, i've also noticed too much progress for 66 hours 😁 66 hours is about 2-3 month of playing, if you are total noob. I think he played too good for 3 month old guitar player :)
whoa

Amazing Idea 💡 👍👏
Thank you!!! 😁✨🙌
I've just realized that I've skipped 387 hours of guitar training because the first song that I learned was Romance

Depends on what transcription you played (or original version) and how good you played it. Because this is a tricky song, it requires more than 500 hours to master
this motivated me, thank you so much!!
My pleasure!!! I'm happy to hear that!!!
You are right. But 100 hours of most efficient practice is not enough to be good player.
Quantity and quality both matter.
Oq vc está fazendo aqui lkkkkkkkkkkkkk
After just 104 hours you were pretty awesome brother
Thank you!!!
This is an amazing perspective on the notion of progress. Thank you for the insightful videos! Are you learning guitar on your own or with a teacher?
Its a lie. he already knew how to play before he started. In the beginning videos he is pretending to be a useless beginner. The whole thing is a con.
Thank you! Sometimes I'm taught it by my friend, Sometimes learn it on my own 😄

It's a very peaceful musical form. Do you listen to other types of music with drums as well?

How you managed to play Lagrima way before Romanza shocks me haha! Did you learn with tab or sheet music? Awesome stuff!
Normally lagrima actually easy
Lagrima is only grade 4 level. Romance is usually around grade 6.
Actually, Lagrima was so hard to play haha. I used to use tabs but now I usually use music sheet.

@@AcousticOlli I don't think either is easy to play well
but romance is definitely harder with the right hand and keeping barre chords while stretching your fingers and what not
unless you are talking about some easy to play version
Stunningly beautiful

no way you play like this after 66 hours, with no musical experience :D
vibrato, and difference in touch of the strings. that comes after many many months of hard training.
