This is a very good headcanon, and I do wish they had leaned into the lonliness aspect, but I thinks its just weirdly written and your theories just a theory. I don't think this was the intention but I prefer your idea that Sutekh basically achieving his goal would be unfulfilling. It's like the version of the Lich we see in Fionna and Cake. There's something compelling to me in narratives which show that if the villain got what they wanted they would feel lost.
