Understandable.
The sole purpose of this movie was not to make people laugh, but rather to laugh at people's reactions upon viewing this movie. That was the real intention of Tom Green.
That would quite frankly be genius if that was the intent. This whole project made me think how funny it was to just see their reactions opposed to the actual scenes.
Likewise, while reading Tom Green's Wikipedia article, I mused that being subject to his endless harmonica playing at the Razzie awards show must have been so much less funny than it was just reading about it happening.
Maybe it was similar to his show? I've never seen it.
I haven't seen his show either. So I suppose we have something we should both look into.
I had countless friends who wanted me to see that movie... and then ask me about it. They always wanted to see my reaction, so that's a big first hint to it. They knew it sucked, but still wanted me to see it. It's almost like a diabolical supervillain plan in how it tries to get to you.
What makes me think that he's done this with that goal in mind, is mostly because of his personality in interviews/ Heck the way he and his wife interact is another hint to his personality. The fact that other comedians such as Andy Kaufman have done these type of bizarre stunts before is also something I've kept in mind. When you watch Kaufman's more absurdly "unfunny" jokes, you don't really laugh too much at it, but rather the awkwardness absurdity eventually settles in... and then you turn over to see the next person's reaction, and that is what finally makes you laugh. So it's a very strange runabout way to get someone to laugh. This is essentially how troll humor used to be done before the internet popularized it.
Or it was just am excuse of why the movie is horrible
I refuse to believe hes smart enough to actually say that
Exactly the reason why this is one of my favorite 1st Viewing videos. XD

The "DADDY WOULD YOU LIKE SOME SAUSAGE" scene becomes even funnier when you remember it was the result of Gord completely misinterpreting Betty's advice to cure his art block ("While you're drawing why don't you play some music, eat some food?") and he thinks she literally means play an instrument, eat food and draw AT THE SAME TIME.

I love how at 10:33, his facial expression makes him look like a fish.
That was the scream of a utterly destroyed man........ A man who's scars run deep, long, and ever unhealable..... He will carry this sin upon his back even in death
That's nice. I find his reactions incredibly annoying. I quite like dorky people, but there's a particular brand of dork that bothers me to know end: the inexplicably pretentious dork that shits on things with weak, contemptuous humor out of simplicity. I say simplicity because it's already been decided that this thing to comment on is "bad" by many people, so it's easy to ride the idea that it's bad to gain some cheap charisma.
Rob does nothing but say needlessly cynical shit in a way that suggests he thinks of himself as very funny. That's great if many of you buy it, but it just comes off as desperate and awkward to me. He's unwilling to find anything of merit in many things simply because it would deprive him of making another lame joke.

When you got to the molested children scene I choked on my drink. Your reactions are hilarious! Fuck, I'm still coughing from the water. I need to watch that reaction again!!
Why exactly is that as shocking as it is to them? Am I missing something?
@@dillonohlemiller401 I assume that whole scene is just plain messed up. Glad I haven't seen this movie.
I kinda hope this film is the only surviving footage from the modern age to be uncovered thousands of years in the future.
That scream😂 17:57
Moe Flanders that’s the kind of scream when someone has succumbed to the madness, like in a Lovecraft novel.
It's like the horror of what he just witnessed dawned on him
Poor Rob. 🤣😂
Is Freddy played by the guy from the American Pie? Cause he sure does look like him, and I'm too lazy to look it up
Yep
Doug is in complete denial on liking this movie and its funny how he's trying to hide it. Just let go Doug...just let go....let go...go
Doug experienced Dead Money from New Vegas through this fucking movie
I completely agree, he laughed more in this review than anything else they have watched.
There is no Doug, there is only Zuul.
He was laughing at it a lot sooo...
I think they are laughing because of how uncomfortable they feel
Watching their minds break after the institution scene was funnier than anything this movie had to offer
Why exactly is that as shocking as it is to them? Am I missing something?

15:18 I don’t hear Darth Vader screaming like a child, I hear strait - up Jake Floyd as young Anakin IN the Darth Vader suit!
“Now this is pod-!” *Zapped* “NNNGGHHHAAA!”
I swear I can’t stop rewatching this just for the reactiobs
RIP Burt Reynolds :(
Debah!
Burt died?
good, he doesn´t have to live in the same reality plane where this movie exist
@@Jar0fMay0 I thought maybe this was a joke but yep :(
R.I.P Bandit... You will be missed..
Similar to something you said, I often think about the fact that /something/ is going to be the last thing you think of before you die. Given the randomness of life, and just how many weird little things are in our brains, it's just as likely that it will be "DADDY WOULD YOU LIKE SOME SAUSAGE?" as it is that it will be some good memory of your family. Terrifying.
10:38 Best reactions ever!
