I love watching these first viewings! Mainly cause it makes me smile to see them have brotherly bonding moments like 8:26. super hilariouse and a little sweet to see.
Funny part that they didn’t talk about: After Al-G reveals that the Absurdly High-Stakes Game is also a Hostage Situation, Daffy Duck says to Bugs Bunny *that the Tunes should be okay as they don't appear to have any major risks.* Al-G then adds that the Tunes will be deleted if they lose. Cue *Mass "Oh, Crap!"* from the Tunes, and Bugs and Granny *severely glaring* at the duck. Bugs: You just couldn’t keep your big beak shut. Granny: (dope slaps Daffy) *Blabbermouth!* Daffy: ...I deserved that.
While I did love Back in Action (it's a personal guilty pleasure of mine, as is the original Space Jam), but could've we got a REALLY funny and REALLY memorable version of Back in Action (and maybe Space Jam 1 and 2 for that matter)?
and that was suppoust to be the anti-space jame, yet warner still screw it up with the star talents and the main spy plot that barelly has nothing to do with the looney tunes. Seriously, the movie joe dante had in mind was very different from what we got. Think about who frammed roger rabbit meets the disaster artist meets once upon a time in hollywood.
Time capsule aside, I adore the first one ironically because of the absurdity of it. Outside of that the soundtrack and animation was so much better, and the real world subplot involving the NBA was genuinely funny. My gripe with this one is that it's painfully boring and isn't terrible enough. Like the Porkie Pig rap I wanted that level of cringe the entire movie, would have been one of the great terrible movies if it was.
Like I said in the NC review, a movie that was selling out so shamelessly missed the opportunity to use characters who admitted multiple times that they're shameless sell outs.
Yeah I don't see this as much of a torture device rather than putting people to sleep(well some people). If he wants to really torture someone with it will be MK Annihilation or the Room.XD

This pleases him and thus he will spare our world for another generation. His servants at WB know this and thus when our grandchildren are born we shall have Space Jam 3
The four things I enjoyed about Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021): The joke revolving around "Michael Jordan," the scene with Lola Bunny in the Wonder Woman universe, Rick and Morty's cameo, and Don Cheadle's performance as Al-G Rhythm.
My mom rented this bc she thought my sis and I wanted to see it. So my sis and I watched it then looked at each and said “that was awful”. We just agreed it was laughably bad and moved on.
They made Lola Bunny less curvy and took her revealing outfit becuase they wanted her stronger and less sexualised. But they had no objection to the Amazons, who are curvaceous women essentially wearing miniskirts and tube tops. No one seems to think they are anything but strong women.
Always love 💕 it when they don’t agree after a “1st Viewing”, because it reminds me of some of the better Siskel & Ebert segments where they didn’t agree on the movie they just watched for that week.

I actually learned of that while on vacation in Queensland a couple weeks ago, the very day we came back from Movie World. I was just flipping through the channels on our hotel room's TV, saw Space Jam, came back to it when I found nothing else on, and was at first confused why the music sounded different. Then Beast Boy switched Sam's guns for rubber chickens and I was completely confused
By the way, if I didn't see the "Senior Discount" joke from the trailers before watching the entire movie, I would say that Granny joke was funny. Too bad the other half of those Granny jokes are outdated Matrix parodies, but I guess that goes with the theme of the movie being the Basketball Smash Bros cinematic crossover of Warner Brothers

I actually learned of that while on vacation in Queensland a couple weeks ago, the very day we came back from Movie World.
I was just flipping through the channels on our hotel room's TV, saw Space Jam, came back to it when I found nothing else on, and was at first confused why the music sounded different.
Then Beast Boy switched Sam's guns for rubber chickens and I was completely confused

By the way, if I didn't see the "Senior Discount" joke from the trailers before watching the entire movie, I would say that Granny joke was funny. Too bad the other half of those Granny jokes are outdated Matrix parodies, but I guess that goes with the theme of the movie being the Basketball Smash Bros cinematic crossover of Warner Brothers
