@@MrMarinus18 There's more to Mulan's humor than just Mushu, Thus mushu isn't annoying. There's usually a danger to putting all the comedy of the film in one character. I'm looking at you Jar Jar!!!!
@@orangeslash1667 The issue with Jar jar though is mostly that he is by himself in most scene's. Meaning there is no straight man to interact with him.
When there is a straightman like during the dinner scene he is funny.
Also that battlefield scene just ruined any comedy or sympathy for him as he just should not have been there. He totally didn't fit and just made everything worse tactics wise.
At least Doug didn’t blow out the mic this time but I was expecting the camera to break
Well when you have someone to watch Mulan 2 blindly, the anger is reduced due to the laughter you'll have from seeing someone react to the shit quality.
Doug looks so disturbed in the thumbnail. I’m glad I never saw this movie.
He was diving back into a film he hated and caused him to blow out his mic. Given the story and Shang's angry face, no wonder he's disturbed.
@@dnmstarsi how did he blow out his Mic?
@@Aquafan998 When he reviewed Mulan 2 in Disneycember 2016, he was screaming so much on why this movie blows that he blew out the mic. He even announced it in the video before the review and when he starts off something with that, you know that's a "good" sign. You can kinda tell that the audio is a bit weird in that review.
When the actors switch from powerful, and amazing acting, to childish, and stupid, you know it's a sad film
Honestly, an hour and a half of mushy being made into a stir fry would be so much better than this price of dragon sh*t
Mmmm Mushu pork😋😋
That would have provided a delight to my senses in some manner. This movie failed to do that, though it makes me hungry the thought of cooked dragon. Gotta wonder how that would taste.
Doug and rob top 10 afganime siblings
*Doug and rob top 10 Afghanime siblings
I like Doug's glee to share this train wreck with Rob. That's a wholesome sibling moment, there.

I thought that the actor of Mushu was Eddie Murphy. Boy I'm dumb😔😔
Same but hey, he was convincing. Although, I'm surprised his replacement was a white dude.
@@dnmstarsi I know right
Wait, that wasn't Eddie Murphy this entire time?
@@dnmstarsi So? Phil Lemar (a black voice actor) voices Aquaman in the Injustice games. The best voice gets the role, race and gender doesn't matter in voice acting.
@@RamsTheNameCom Dude, you seem to have misunderstood what I've said.
It's just surprising to me that a white actor was able to mimic Eddie Murphy's mannerisms (in terms of Mushu) and fool some of us in certain ways.
Mulan is my favorite Disney movie, but I’ve never seen Mulan II. And I don’t ever need to.
Smart.
4:02 I laughed more than needed because Rob as The Chart Guy is hysterical beyond repair
The first movie INTRODUCED us to Mulan as her getting ready for the match maker to arrange her a marriage. And she was really working hard to present herself well and felt really bad when she let everyone down and the match maker refused to arrange her a marriage
1:28 Both: OH MY!!! LMFAO
Guess he made the wong comment!
HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA
FUNNY!!
@8:35 I just noticed Chien Po doesn't even have a drawn face...
Thanks i hate it
Mushu: I would give up a thousand pedestals if I could stop this.
Mulan: Oh, f*ck off.
(Rolls credits)
After looking at the end credits and looking up Darrell Rooney’s name, I couldn’t believe that this is the same guy who directed Lion King 2 (a much better sequel than this!) 😱
Well you can see the “follow your heart” crap in that one too
@@sweetcinnamonpnchkin it at least works i LIon King 2 as its tied to some other stuff and isn't JUST the main focus of the film
@@sweetcinnamonpnchkin he’s got ya there but at the same time I really think this is the worst Disney sequel ever so any decent Disney sequels would look just as good as the first and the shitty ones would look decent and it’s all thanks to the Romance of the movie which is also the main plot
@@sarafontanini7051 Kovu really wasn't a well-written character. Trained to be a deadly assassin with hate towards Simba and is won over in a few days by Kiara?
@@sweetcinnamonpnchkin the idea is that he has no real frame of reference for all the hatred, he's bascally just told 'simba's bad cause he killed scar who's super awesome' and once given actual reasons to not buy into that stuff (addmittedly yes mostly by being suddenly shipped with the first cute girl he met) he turns away from Zira's ideology.
It's not perfect, but it's actually, you know, good overall.
I was hoping for a "First review!" These can be even better then the actual review!! 😄😄😄
00:37 Chaplin 💕💕💕
"F*** China! I just want out of this movie!!" Couldn't agree with you more, Rob.
I hope you guys review Dark Crystal next week, since the new show drops tomorrow.
Ngl, Mulan's one of those movies I've seen saw before I had memory, one of those movies that is just ingrained in my brain, and I can't really explain exactly why I love it, I just do.
Live action remakes of direct to DVD Disney sequels...
Even Disney has standards.
Or at least they used to.
Lately I've been enjoying the First Viewings better than the proper review. Though the regular reviews are still good.
Rob telling Mushu to "Fuck Off" was glorious!
9:06
Behind the recording of this , Mulan’s voice actress was actually crying when recording that part....
Figured if you like to know that little fact
That was probably where Ming Na Wen realized what a terrible movie she was in. She probably regrets this movie.
BD Wong even more so.
I'd be shocked if they were proud of making this movie.
to as someone who LOVED The first Mulan I really HATED Mulan 2
Pinkiepool gamerbrony28X Seriously. The more you love the first ones, the more you hate the mediocre to awful sequels.
@@pony7653 That makes sense. I find Pocahontas... okay. Really, Colors of the Wind is the only thing memorable about it, but I enjoyed Pocahontas 2 more, even if a majority of it is still a blur to me.
Honestly is it just me or is "Afghanistan-imation" a way funnier name than "Afghanime" lmao? cause Rob has me dying !! lmao LOL
Rob's commentary about Mushu is the best part of this. LOL
I just realized your sitting on Philip Defranco's couch..
After the thunder rumbles, "THIS IS GOD. STOP WATCHING THIS AND PUT ON A BETTER MOVIE."
"I MEAN, YOU'RE RE-WATCHING MULAN 2. WHY DO YOU NEED TO TORTURE YOURSELF AND YOUR BROTHER, DOUG WALKER?"
Mulan: “What is it with men and asking for directions?”
Shang: “What is it with women and maps?”
Me: “What is it with McDonald’s and not bringing back the Szechuan sauce??
I just realized that Mulan's line was literally the exact same line Dory said to Marlin in Finding Nemo when she was about to ask the whale for directions.
Lauren210 they obviously had no time to write creative dialogue so they stole from whichever movies were popular at the time
"...the animation was having a stroke!" Lmbo!😂😂😂😂
Now let's see you two sit through Belle's Magical World!
Review: Alpha and Omega (2010) movie and the franchise movies with it
Review the Norm of the North sequels too.
The...what?
Don't.... Just don't.
Do... Just do.
Evan White What in God's name is wrong with you?
"This dragon belongs nowhere in this story"
Well at least Rob will find one redeeming factor about the live action Mulan..
8:18 YES 2019 and still jokes about Avatar xD
9:27 well someone watches Schaffrillas Productions
The only thing that could be worse than Mulan 2 is having a live action remake of the first Mulan movie
Oh wait.
Who knows, maybe it’ll be good.
Ben Jackson every other live action remake has been more bland than school cafeteria food
Nah, see what makes this worse is knowing that in real history the Mongols actually do take over China, so Mulan just condemned millions of people to death, to top that level of bad the live action movie will have to be SO bad that it loops back around to being sort of impressive in a weird way.
The only thing worse than Disney remakes would be shot by shot remakes of the sequels.
Funny thing is, we actually have a good live action Mulan movie. It was made in 2009. In China.
And the funniest part? The actress Disney cast for the 2020 atrocity was a REJECTED choice for that 2009 film. Disney literally used the 2009 film's leftovers.
2:36 That's it, Fa Zhou, no more fortune cookies for you.
Wait.. did I miss The Underworld First Viewing or something??
Ikr, waiting for that one

Maybe NC watched those a hundred of times already.
Maybe the viewing just wasn't very entertaining.
@@Rogue.Rainbow Ghostbusters 2 theirs another one to add
Guess Rob will be Happy to learn that there's no Mishu in the live action remake
I just find it funny that Kingdom Hearts 2 did a better Milan 2 than this.
Spoiler details:
So Mulan wanted to talk to the emperor to give Shang some time off due to being overworking as of late. Emperor is like no due to a giant dragon attacking. Later on the dragon attacks the emperors castle and mulan helps defeat it. Mulan asks again and the emperor is like no due to, you know, being Shang’s job but offers the compramise of giving her the same job to work with him.
There, solved in like a couple of sentences, just take sora out and make that a movie
Really crossing my fingers hoping that the remake turns out way better than this crap.
It can't be much worse than this horrid sequel.
Nathaniel Foga I hope that they retcon this movie and make an all new Mulan 2 movie after the remake..
I know Disney remakes are notoriously bad, but I don't see how it could possibly be worse than this.
That wouldn't be that impressive; you're setting the bar REALLY low.
Well, the remake came out and...
Better or worse that this, it's still not good
The positive the guy who plays Mushu, does a VERY good impression of Eddie Murphy. Close your eyes, its hard to tell.
Thats it 😊
Mushu: "hello i will be your annoying jealous stalker for the duration of this meeting"
at least with atlantis 2 it had the benefit of being a spliced together tv series attempt, so it made sense it was janky as hell and complete crap.

LMFAO at Robs reaction, especially to Mushu
5:30, I would never have thought they were Blackadder fans but I very much approve and appreciate this
“I want to put my chopstick in your potsticker.”

This is one of my favorite first viewings.
Doug's thoughts on Mulan II are basically the same as how I feel about Disney remaking Home Alone. Nearly. Word. For. Word.
Robb Stark watched Mulan II, and then thought marrying for love was ok.
4:07 I didn't actually think she'd be back for this film but I honestly couldn't remember.
That's probably what she yelled at the casting director and his crew when he tried to get her to appear in the film - and he just kept it :P
