Ion was my favorite character !!! T_T !!! People say he was too innocent and too optimistic, but he really was a tragic, but infinitely wise soul that only wanted the best for others. He still cared for everyone around him despite knowing he was created as a tool: he defied Mohs, created a reformed faction in Daath and did everything he could to protect the world he was never meant to be a part of. Ion is the true archetype of resilience, kindness, leadership and determination. He created his own meaning in life and served as a beacon for others. We should all strive to be like Ion in life no matter where we come from, who created us and what purpose we were created for, because in the end all we have is each other and though Ion was only 2 years old, he understood and lived by one of the deepest, most selfless and most compassionate meanings of life. Fon Master Ion, you will be missed...

I hated this part of the game too, I had to quit the game for a year because I hated it so much... It felt so out of character for everyone to agree that Anise had to kill Arietta, felt like they all caught the idiot ball just so the writers could keep the same motif with all the main characters...
Anise sucks she could have told her friends "hey my parents are kidnapped!" but nooooo some one had to hit the plot device button and my favorite character dies.
No matter how many times I see it, I still cry each time T_T Even if he was a little annoying sometimes, I really like that boy. By the way, am I the only one to think that they should have put Ion's death in an anime cutscene?
"Purify the taint..." Ion gave an intimate reading of what Luke was meant to do, and his final act was to perform it on a personal scale with Tear. Even while being forced to expend his life by Mohs, he bet EVERYTHING on that one reading of the Score. So much, that they turned it into a giant energy cannon MA in Rays.

I love this Ion so much better. It proves thar replicas don't really have to be like the original. This Ion is so sweet and gentle, Florian too. But I still can't really dislike the original because... well... they're all so ADORABLE! I wanna smother them in kisses! (Though Sync might kill me)
In my opinion, it wasn't reading the planet score that killed him. It was absorbing Tear's contaminated seventh fonons that nailed his death. As far as I'm concerned, Ion willingly sacrificed his life to save a friend.

When I first played this stage I was like "Dammit Ion don't you dare die! Mohs, if anything happen to Ion I will pull your guts out alive!" while running through volcano. And in the end when Ion death was inevitable, I really feel broken inside. Ion is my favorite NPC in this game.

The original Ion was actually some psychopathic kid that hated the score as much as Van did, partly because people depended on it so much and didn't seem to care that it also predicted he would die once he turned twelve. He considered them "Trash", and seems obsessed with keeping people as pets, particularly Arietta.

Honestly, considering all the shit Luke got for destroying Akzeriuth on ACCIDENT, Anise should have gotten much worse for killing Ion on PURPOSE.

Her being a kid doesn't change the fact that she's a vindictive, irresponsible, hypocritical little brat. Oh and if I had an atom of sympathy left for her, she crushed with the way she treated Arietta in this scene. What a spiteful little brat.

i can understand you..sometimes there is some character that we wish them to die.. but its only because we don't really understand how that we can like them..but if give it a moment of reflexion, you will find how important they are in the game and u will like them.
