I'm really excited about the TV show, but at the same time I'm really nervous about it after the movie flopped:/ I'm hoping they do this right and follow the book because I feel like it has so much potential as a TV show!

They're making the characters older than in the books, so theres a slight difference so far.
Yeah, but if they follow the main plot lines and how things go in the book that would be good. I think aging the characters up will work well, though, as long as they follow the story.

Since Dom played Christian Ozera, I'm still trying to see him as Jace. (It'll probably happen when he goes blonde) I wasn't expecting Dom at all, but I am very happy with this casting. I think I'm more okay with the TV show changing things a little than the movie and now with McG and Dom attached to it, I have higher hopes for it than I did the movie.
I'm still seeing him as Christian...but I can see him as jace though

Everything you said I completely agree with honestly you are like the American me! I love Dom as Jace don't get me wrong I did like Jamie but I just feel like they need to completely redo this TV because the movie wasn't that great and didn't really go to it's full potential.
I had no idea there was even going to be a show!! I freaked out when I saw that on Facebook.
That thing about his eyes, my cousin has it and his eyes are blue and a quarter like brown like dominic, I think it's cool too! and also, He looks so much like I imagined Jace to look, I'm so excited for this TV show!

I think Dom will be a perfect Jace, and it seems like the fandom is cool with it, mostly, from what I've seen on Twitter. Molly Quinn looks like she'd be perfect too, but I haven't seen anything she's been in or her audition. I haven't seen any leaked auditions, actually. I have a feeling she would be great bc Cassie even said that's who she would like to play Clary. Molly most likely auditioned for the role because the photo they took a few weeks ago was in LA. Just read on Twitter from @McGsWonderland that Dom did a reading with the Clary candidates!
You should watch a few episodes of Castle. It's Molly's most well-known role. She's the daughter of the main character, Richard Castle. She plays a really smart, driven girl in high school who's incredibly down to earth even if her dad is a famous crime author. I think she'd be a great Clary
I really loved him at Vampire Academy. I think he's going to be a great Jace. Definitely looks like better choice than Jamie Campbell Bower. I hope this time they keep Jace's personality instead of chancing it. I want book Jace.
I freaked out when I heard about this on Twitter yesterday! I'm so glad others are excited as I am! I was actually disappointed when I heard that ABC picked it up, but now with McG as the producer it seems to be going okay! Now, just getting Molly Quinn in the cast!

I'm kind of sad to see these books being turned into a TV show but after watching this video you changed my mind. And I totally agree with you in the movie not being as good as it should be. I too was distracted by the characters and didn't really pay attention to the flaws. So thank you for helping me realize that. But the books will forever and always be my fav no matter how well the TV show is.

I really hope they'll cast Molly Quinn as Clary. She is literally the most perfect person to play her role, and she's a fan of the books as well so that is always a plus.
I do like Dominic as Jace. I'm happy they picked him and I think he really has those features I pictured Jace in when reading the books.

Dom Sherwood is a great actor, however nobody could ever beat Jamie Campbell Bower! He is just the perfect jace and unfortunately I can't see anyone but Jamie playing jace. Wish they were just making a the city of ashes movie with Lily Collins and Jamie! I'm still dying inside from the news 😥

I loved jamie so much, he has just never been my jace. And because Dom played Christian in va, we know he can play a sarcastic character with a lot of baggage. So I'm really really happy with that. And of course, I love lily Collins, she's perfect, but she's never really been my clary. I always see the books and the movie as two individual things and jamie and lily just don't fit the roles for me. They're amazing actors but the way they portrayed their characters didn't feel right to me :)

I'm okay with everything about the show. The actor is cool and I hope Molly is casted. All is well with me but my only problem is the program. ABC family, really? I feel like it's gonna be like PPL which not only does no one know about the books but the show is sosososo different than the books.
I am one of those die hard Mortal instruments fans and I couldn't picture any other Jace but Jamie. He is my Jace and always will be. But like you Sasha I can't stand Alex Pettyfer and look over his acting because he is nice to look at. As to Dominic Sherwood playing Jace I am excited and know he will be fantastic. I knew Jamie wasn't going to come back as Jace and I grew okay with that and seeing Dominic casts as Jace I am stoked because I loved him as Christian and I really like him in general so I think they have started the casting off great!

After seeing your video, my opinion completely changed because, you basically took everything into play, which I really enjoyed, and totally changed my preference.

I loved Dom in Vampire Academy so I was pretty excited when I found out he is going to be Jace. He's also a lot better fit to how I pictured Jace rather than Jamie (who still did great)

Well first I LOVE DOM SHERWOOD! I really love that he's going to play Jace cos I didn't like Jamie, sorry... But Dom is such a good actor and so hot and OMG! I'm very excited that they gonna tell us the whole cast till may, I didn't know that *.*. But I think you'r one of the person that always like the books better than the movies. Cos I liked the TMI movie more than the books, the books are... I don't know, I don't like them. But the movie was great! I would like to have Lily Collins as Clary, if that's possible. AND Vampire Academy was an amazing movie!!! I loved it so much, the books are AMAZING as wel but the movie was sooo great! I don't care if the movie's famous! I'm really curious to see who will be playing my favourite character, Simon, Robert Sheehan is one of my favourite actors, EVER, I loved him in Misfits, and he played Simon really well. I hope Dom plays a good Jace, Jamie captured Jace's sarcasm perfectly which was the only reason why I loved Jamie as Jace. I just really hope Dom does the character justice!

The first time I saw Dominic in Vampire Academy, I was like 'hubba hubba' and to quote Rose Hathaway, 'sweet sassy molasey'. And now, he's gonna be playing Jace in the TMI T.V. show, omygawd. I just hope hope hope that the show is available here in Asia, particularly in the Philippines. My friends are also book addicts, so I take it that they know the series, the is....they're not really a fan. So whenever I talk about this, they just nod and say "yeeeeaaaaah......". I give a thumbs up for Dominic Sherwood (also my one of my many fictional boyfriends in the name of Christian Ozera) in having to posses Jace Wayland's character.

I'm one of the people who are still stuck on the movie cast, but I really like Kat, Simon, and Alec. Not too sure about Luke (especially the NYPD detective crap, that just doesn't seem to fit Luke) or Isabelle at all. I really hope this shit pans out well too, it would suck to have both the movie and TV show flop Dx

I'm thinking it'll be BASED on the book but will go waaay outside the box here like every other TV show has been.. For instance: game of thrones, under the dome, true blood just to name a few..
I've already known that he's gonna play Jace but I seriously feel like the ONLY one who doesn't approve. When it was all over Twitter, everybody seemed totally fine with the choice.
I think Molly - though I love her - would be like the worst choice for Clary. But honestly, no actress will fit because Clary is so special and childish and not exactly the Hollywood beauty kind of girl. But you're probably right that aging the characters up is the only way. But I know that - sadly - the series will be totally different to the books. I actually also liked the movie on its own (and I adore the cast!) but just not as an adaption of the book.

I think molly quinn might be alright for clary but I just feel as though lilly fits clary so well its hard to imagine someone else but I don't mind, I'll warm to the new cast anyways.
