I think I had the privilege of seeing one of his first very solo House shows and he had this theme at the Niagara Falls Convention Center you was to wrestle Jimmy Superfly Snuka which Snuka was a no-show so he fought p.j. walker and he used the side suplex as his finisher
I was thinking US Air, but I did remember an airline using the song in their commercial whenever I watched The Weather Channel when I was checking weather for the day
One of the very first house shows he wrestled solo I saw with this theme at the Niagara Falls Civic and Convention Center he was supposed to wrestle Jimmy Superfly Snuka but was a no-show so instead you got Shawn Michaels vs. JW storm
i remember this for only about a month in early '92, and about a year later when bobby heenan brought lex in as the narcissist they used this as his theme with minimal (if any) changes
TheKidyoung24 wow. Eight years for a reply. Awesome. Anyways the wrestling video games differentiated suplexes. The backdrop suplex iirc is what backfired on Brian Pillman when Jushin Liger beat him in WCW
Yeah, for a very short time period, after his turn on Jannetty to go solo. Not long after (couldn’t exactly pin the exact time period), he’d come out to the Sherri sung Sexy Boy theme.
You know, they played this song in an episode of America's Got Talent. It was when Ray Jessel got four yes votes and went on to the next round. That leads me to wonder if this is a rendition of a so. That already existed before.
@lilbrodge Okay, so it's basically the move he uses in the Royal Rumble, Rage in the Cage, and original Raw video games for the SNES/Genesis/Sega CD/32X, etc. They call it a back suplex in those games, though. Thanks!
Honestly never heard this one before. And I quite like it, doesn't really fit the HBK character but interesting that he used it at one time. Very dreamy, noir sort of sound.
I remember hearing this theme,I swear he only used it like once or twice becuase I think once sherri martel hooked up with him thats when the boy toy theme came into play
Actually, he did use it for a Superstars and Challenge taping. This was when he just hooked up with Sherri, so they were portraying a love gimmick between the two.
This is the Narcisissist music, when ever i hear it all i can hear is Bobby Brain bigging up Lex Luger, while he looks at himself in mirror at RR93 lol
@stonehopper1067 Ya I can hear that too. To me, it sounds like a combo of that, Ric Flair's theme, and "The Narcissist" Lex Luger. There is definitely a part in this theme that is also used in Luger's theme.
This should have been passed down to triple H for Hunter Hearst Hemsley debut theme...this has Vince McMahon "Make him seem rich" stamp all over Jim Johnston head with this one
I'd imagine Vince wasn't too interested in paying the Gershwin family a dime for the license to Rhapsody in Blue. The Gershwin Estate also HATES George's music being used out of context (and loves money)
Interesting to listen to in an interesting part of Michael's career. He has just gotten rid of Janetty and needed a new image. I'm not sure this would have been an effective theme long term, Sheri's SEXY BOY was a much better fit for what he would become in next 3-5 years
I think this theme is pretty good. Its good for a cocky bad guy like he was. But his other theme is better. Just saying this could have worked too. Its classical. Like Mr. Perfect's or Naitches.
This theme is more rare than finding a Babe Ruth baseball card, SIGNED by "The Babe" himself.
Good job! I actually saw Shawn use this entrance at the Garden that Saturday following the famous Barber Shop incident on Superstars.
yep I remember this, and I also remember the first time he came out with Sherri to Sexy Boy. memories make me want to go back there.
I think I had the privilege of seeing one of his first very solo House shows and he had this theme at the Niagara Falls Convention Center you was to wrestle Jimmy Superfly Snuka which Snuka was a no-show so he fought p.j. walker and he used the side suplex as his finisher
I believe they called it the tear drop suplex
Hi to all of your
@@Chris6869 your email address and of RUclips
@@Chris6869 Most commonly known as a Belly to Back suplex or Back Suplex for short. WWF often referred to it as a Backdrop Suplex.
this theme suited him better on his last run
if you watch wwf superstars 2/15/92 you will hear this song
You know where can i watch it ?
Watch This Exclusively On RUclips
And You Van Hear The Song In The Match Of Shawn Michaels Vs Kris Germany

A little after 27:45
Suddenly, I feel like flying United Airlines.
JW storm
Wow thank you I haven't heard this since Shawn used it briefly at the beginning of 1992!
good memory. yes, he did use this for q few weeks after turning heel in 92. it's a bit odd now, but back then it was fit him perfectly.
Thank goodness someone got this for the many who never heard it before! I'm one who didn't until this was posted.
HBK did use this theme and I got to say hats off to u for finding it
i remember this for only about a month in early '92, and about a year later when bobby heenan brought lex in as the narcissist they used this as his theme with minimal (if any) changes
Shawn Michael's vs Jimmy superfly Snuka.
LOL the superkick through the barber shop window. Both of them rocking mullets. Damn I wish I could relive that part of my life
Shawn Michaels flies the friendly skies.
I see what you did there
Oh man... back when he had the teardrop suplex as a finisher!!!
It was a belly to back suplex, or as the WWF liked to call it a back suplex or backdrop suplex
TheKidyoung24 wow. Eight years for a reply. Awesome. Anyways the wrestling video games differentiated suplexes. The backdrop suplex iirc is what backfired on Brian Pillman when Jushin Liger beat him in WCW
Swear this was in Final Fantasy VII...
I never knew that HBK used Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue as his ring entrance music.
lol this reminds me of some silent movie where you see a bunch of mimes crying lol
This song is look like pokemon creepy game boy music
LOL this is something you would hear in the background of the movie Sandlot when Smalls is saying what a great friend Benny the Jet was.
This was also in Poetic Justice the movie.
Which scene? Can't recall.
This is something you'd hear in a Leisure Suit Larry game lmao
i do remember this one... he only used it for i think like a month before his sensational sherri "sexy boy" theme
LMFAO thats exactly what I was thinking before I read the comments. Fantastic comment you posted
I am so so so glad I found this! Its haunted me for ions because I thought I dreamed it up! Glad to know I havent gone completely dorkie!
Wow
Ok this is *chefs kiss*
This sounds like the intro to a soap opera!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
He should use this theme on his farewell
this theme is really rare
nice job finding it
Can't remember any other theme than the one he had the last 25 years.
The DX themes maybe
@@mikejcoen Didn't that only play when all of the DX Member walked in? Or him and HHH?
@@sultaa86 both.depending how many of them were in the WWE at the time maybe
This was a lovely theme song that never got put to good use for Shawn Michaels.
@MRobert21 He did use this theme very briefly wasnt very long
This is definitely Shaw all day😄😄😄😄
Damn, I remember this tune from the ending of "Gremlins 2 " , never knew HBK used this one !!!
Yeah, for a very short time period, after his turn on Jannetty to go solo. Not long after (couldn’t exactly pin the exact time period), he’d come out to the Sherri sung Sexy Boy theme.
this was when he was in love with sherri,
This sounds like the theme tune to "Losing Your Smile And Back Again"
@rogertayloRRR
Play the SNES wrestling games with Shawn in them. He uses the Teardrop Suplex in those games.
Before the sweet chin music kick
nothing could beat sexy boy
You know, they played this song in an episode of America's Got Talent. It was when Ray Jessel got four yes votes and went on to the next round. That leads me to wonder if this is a rendition of a so. That already existed before.
This sounds like a rick rude and martel theme in reverse and an intro to an old family guy show lol
the theme he used with the late sensational sherri
I remember him only using this once.
I Love you SHAW machaels
the song name is rhapsody in bule
This song is the result when the wwf ric flair theme and the Narcissist theme have a baby
Actually, all those song including this were around before either of them were born.
Very Great music. Its touching.
WWF Superstars aired 15 Feb 92 against Rudy Gonzales, i have it on dvd
Did you hear it prior to clicking on the link to this video? Chances are the answer is no, which says it all.
People copy it, thats why. It is a very rare theme, nobody even has video of him with the theme.
Ok I have been watching Shawn Michaels since he first started wrestling and I have never heard him use this theme.
👍🏻👍🏻
Everybody saying this sounds like this and that, this is like final fantasy music. Nothing else closer.
This is Rhapsody In Blue. George Gershwin composed it.
He used this theme for I believe only a few months or weeks before that Sexy Boy Theme was given to him.
@lilbrodge
Okay, so it's basically the move he uses in the Royal Rumble, Rage in the Cage, and original Raw video games for the SNES/Genesis/Sega CD/32X, etc. They call it a back suplex in those games, though. Thanks!
Honestly never heard this one before. And I quite like it, doesn't really fit the HBK character but interesting that he used it at one time. Very dreamy, noir sort of sound.
I’d guess it was a sort of placeholder until they had the Sheri sung Sexy Boy theme complete and ready.
Your local weather forecast....
That might be the funniest comment in RUclips history.
I remember this!!
This is Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, the SNES version.
I remember hearing this theme,I swear he only used it like once or twice becuase I think once sherri martel hooked up with him thats when the boy toy theme came into play
Its true, after the rockers theme this was his theme song, hard to believe i kno, coz after this one he used sexy boy (with sherri)
This was his breakup with the rockers theme.
Actually, he did use it for a Superstars and Challenge taping. This was when he just hooked up with Sherri, so they were portraying a love gimmick between the two.
its like a love song!!!1!
I made this hbk's theme in smackdown vs raw 2010 :)
Pretty sure he used this at summer slam 92 against the model rick Martel if I'm not mistaken
This was his first theme after the Rockers split.
Also, Delta airlines used this as a theme for awhile lol
I hear this on airplane pre-flight videos.
Id love to see a match where he used this theme..
I know you posted this 12 years ago, but at around 27:45, you’ll see the match where he uses the theme.
ruclips.net/video/EaT2DuPATOA/видео.html
It sounds like Lex Luger's Narcissist Theme. They probably revamped it for him.
Rhapsody in Blue, George Gershwin
This sounds just like mark jindraks theme when he was doing his narcissist gimmick.
This sounds like Lex Luger's Narcissist theme in a sense.
It does sound like maybe an early demo of what Luger would use a year later.
lex's narcissist theme is a remix of this. thats why.
@mrtrin Yes I loved that teardrop suplex finisher. I was mad when he stop using it period.
This is the Narcisissist music, when ever i hear it all i can hear is Bobby Brain bigging up Lex Luger, while he looks at himself in mirror at RR93 lol
NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP!
almost like lex lugers first theme but it's not i know that much i never actully heard this theme before but still nice work
I don't remember Shawn Michaels having this music.
@stonehopper1067 Ya I can hear that too. To me, it sounds like a combo of that, Ric Flair's theme, and "The Narcissist" Lex Luger. There is definitely a part in this theme that is also used in Luger's theme.
This sounds a little like Lex Lugger's theme when he was "The Narcisist".
I can’t believe it never caught on, sike it sucks
Sounds like a bit of a precursor to the theme of "The Narcissist" Lex Luger.
only time he used it
The Narcissist, Shawn Michaels!!!
Very Romantic Theme, i Think
This should have been passed down to triple H for Hunter Hearst Hemsley debut theme...this has Vince McMahon "Make him seem rich" stamp all over Jim Johnston head with this one
I'd imagine Vince wasn't too interested in paying the Gershwin family a dime for the license to Rhapsody in Blue. The Gershwin Estate also HATES George's music being used out of context (and loves money)
@MmmmmPopTarts best comment in youtube history
They used a similar theme for Lex Luger
yes indeed, i was 9 at the time
O.O ???
And this?!?!?
@Londrick the rock had a rare them that lasted only 1 show..
i cant find a video with him useing this song
Great theme but it very much doesn't fit that character. Sounds more like it would fit a royalty type character
Interesting to listen to in an interesting part of Michael's career. He has just gotten rid of Janetty and needed a new image. I'm not sure this would have been an effective theme long term, Sheri's SEXY BOY was a much better fit for what he would become in next 3-5 years
