I get chills from watching that every time.. you can tell how struck he was by it and how proud he was to be there. Plus his strut was the Nature Boy at his best.. one of my all time favorite matches; it doesn't get the credit it deserves from pre match storytelling down to the bumps they took. One of the best WWE title matches at Mania imo.
To go from doing shows in places like Battle Creek Michigan in front of 500 people a month before he left WCW to main eventing a 68,000 completely sold out supershow like WrestleMania inside of a year after an idiot running a Pizza Hut told him he couldn't draw anymore...that had to be gratifying as hell. Flair took what was shaping up as a dull 1991 and made the back half as exciting as any point in my childhood, hands down.
After they basically kicked him to the curb, he probably wants nothing to do with them. The man who wrote the most iconic wrestling themes in the business got done dirty.

I always heard Ric Flair was one of the few guys outside his own company Vince was aware of and liked and the way they used him you could tell. They didn't make him wear polka dots or a crown, they let him be Ric Flair.
He was the 2nd biggest name in pro wrestling. There's no way you could pretend to make him anything else. All the popular wrestling magazines had featured dream matches of Flair in the WWF. He was too prominent and his appearance meant too much to gimmick up.
Of course he did.. McMahon Sr voted for him to be world champ in 1981. They all loved Ric.. I'm sure Vince wanted him in the mid 80's much like he did Terry Funk. Ric got a lucky break due to Jim Herd being stupid and they had that 2 year run.

Randy Orton And Dave Bautista are all old men and Ric has passed on. Plus the fact that Orton still has a long career ahead of him before he makes it into the Hall Of Fame. Unless something like what happened to Edge, happens to Orton
It works so well as a heel theme because it gives off a really narcassistic feel but it also works as a face them because when all the brass comes in and everything you're just like "oh boy here he comes!"
If I were a heel I'd use this theme and the titantron vid would just be my head in front of a Starburst pattern that gets bigger and bigger as time goes on 😂
