This is something I miss in wrestling now. There are no more heroes. When that guitar starts blaring in the intro you know Hogan is coming , the good guy is on his way to the ring , and whether it was Ted DiBiase or King Kong Bundy or who ever the bad guy was . The Hulkster was coming and he was going to save the day. I hope a day will come when there will be a new age of heros again.

Now, I'm no fan of Gawker. But, they never tried to take down Hogan. They had no reason to do so because Hogan never went after them... His "buddy" Bubba the Love SPonge was the one that set Hogan up; essentially trying to take him down.
So, watching OSW review of King of the Ring 1993, in which they pointed out Jimmy Hart in his promo prior to Hogan VS Yokozuna said the lines that was used in this song. Had to hear the whole thing.
This is the Hogan theme I remember the absolute most. I didn't know he had "I Am A Real American" as a theme as well, but I remember this one most fondly. Great song indeed!

Real American was originally intended for Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham during their second reign as WWF Tag Team champions but when they returned to the NWA it was given to Hogan .
Considering that they couldn't use "Real American" for Hogan's WCW run, Hogan ended up helping do a similar song for WCW. It's very much a spiritual successor.
The good thing about American Made (I like it myself) is that Hogan can take it to any promotion he wants. I know he used it in TNA and the XWF several times
Little fun fact here. If anyone has the ability to find an interview Hogan and Hart did on the 1993 King of the Ring PPV, Hart practically recites the lines for this song in it, foreshadowing Hogans WCW theme lol.

So, watching OSW review of King of the Ring 1993, in which they pointed out Jimmy Hart in his promo prior to Hogan VS Yokozuna said the lines that was used in this song. Had to hear the whole thing.

This is the Hogan theme I remember the absolute most. I didn't know he had "I Am A Real American" as a theme as well, but I remember this one most fondly. Great song indeed!

Yeah, "Real American" was his WWE theme, but this is his WCW theme.
The singer of this song is Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart. Hogan also played bass guitar on this song.

fun fact on that theme.. Jimmy Hart wrote it before he and Hogan left WWF. They planned to make it his new theme replacing real american... one of Hogan's last promo's in WWF was Hart screaming the lyrics of this song lol

Real American was originally intended for Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham during their second reign as WWF Tag Team champions but when they returned to the NWA it was given to Hogan .

Considering that they couldn't use "Real American" for Hogan's WCW run, Hogan ended up helping do a similar song for WCW. It's very much a spiritual successor.

The good thing about American Made (I like it myself) is that Hogan can take it to any promotion he wants. I know he used it in TNA and the XWF several times

Little fun fact here. If anyone has the ability to find an interview Hogan and Hart did on the 1993 King of the Ring PPV, Hart practically recites the lines for this song in it, foreshadowing Hogans WCW theme lol.
