  • Tom Hardy & Charlize Theron's Fury Road Feud EXPLAINED..
Welcome back to Show In Motion. Charlize Theron Struggled While Shooting Mad Max: Fury Road. By all accounts, including her own, Theron struggled with Fury Road even before her beef with co-star Hardy. This was partially due to her less embodied style of acting clashing with Hardy's process but was also affected by external circumstances. For example, the actor had, according to Miller, “this aversion to dust,” an issue often exacerbated by the movie shooting in the Namibian desert and frequently encountering sandstorms.
Furiosa’s Plot Mirrors The Original Mad Max. Since Charlize Theron’s Furiosa was only two years older than Tom Hardy’s Mad Max in Fury Road (judging by the actor’s real-life ages), it stands to reason that Furiosa will be in her early twenties during the story of Furiosa. This, along with what viewers know about the prequel’s premise, proves the prequel will mirror some elements of Mad Max's plot.

Totally understand their feud, and I blame the hot weather for it to be honest. I get so short tempered when the temperature rises so high up to the point where anything pisses me off so much afterwards. That along with the combination of feeling heat sluggish is the worst. Fun fact, heat raises blood pressure and cortisol levels aka the stress hormones.

So it would seem to me that the tension, the feuding and the mistrust that their respective characters shared in the beginning spilled onto the actors themselves. So interesting how Charlize and Tom became more amicable at the same time their characters hit a turning point in the film. Art truly imitating life lol

Saying that Hardy even came close to "damaging" the premise of Max's character is a gross miscalculation especially when you take into account this story was not about Max as the lead. This was meant as both a new telling of Max and a nod to those who already know his story, while having Charlize as the lead. Plus, people nowadays seem to forget that reboots, re-quels, sequels, etc, mostly give ways to new avenues of storyline and storytelling so odds are the story and characters are going to be different. Won't hurt the originals.

This is hilarious and is comedy gold. I can’t believe this total tripe actually got 6 Oscar’s after killing the MAD MAX franchise.
No wonder Tom Hardy struggled to appear on set. Take me back to the 80s when movies and Disney hadn’t been infested with so much left wing propaganda and cancel culture. I agree with Tom Hardy, while scrawny women have a major role to play in the decisions made by meatheaded males it is a stretch to watch a woman fight off a gang of men. The movie is not very well written, it's a bad recreation of the original. I will say the motocross riders were great and all of the stuntmen/women did a fantastic job! In the future I hope we as a human population can get past this "woke" "dei" bs and make great movies again. I'm done

aah..a critical drinker fan, i see. a scrawny woman fighting a gang of men is as possible as bruce willis fighting off terrorists for 5 diehard movies. women have been kicking men's ass on films in hongkong cinema since the 80s (tarantino even paid tribute to this with killbill) and nobody in asia ever whines and protests. it's only WHITE males in USA that have recently have bitched about it. some alpha.

“It’s a bad recreation of the original”
Exactly!! The original was much more believable, better written, realistic and more human female characters and MAD MAX actually showed up in the story. That is MAD MAX was actually in the first three films and original trilogy made in the 80s titled “MAD MAX”. No wonder Tom Hardy was pissed off.
I just hope that in future there’s someone left on Earth with the ability to actually grow a set of balls and actually make a film about MAD MAX and not this left wing propaganda b…sht. The audience was clearly duped into believing this was about “MAD MAX”.
People and big fans of the franchise who watched the original in the 80s felt totally conned and betrayed but the younger generation were oblivious because of all the pretty explosions and unrealistic scenes of a one armed women with no super powers what so ever easily beating up a gang of trained killers - right? Total and utter left wing propagandist b…sht!! Take me back to the 80s!!
