    I love these species videos that you do. Please keep them coming. I really enjoy the "species spotlight" that you do with each fish that you're showing us. I learn so much. Like the area that they come from and all of the technical info, BUT I'm really impressed by how much more info you give us by telling the experiences you've had with them since they've been in your care. That's the best knowledge and it's invaluable. Thank you so much Dan. God Bless.

    On the hunt for a cool up-top fish for my 75 that would do well with congo tetras and red head tapajos - wondering about those clouded archers?

    • @DansFish
      @DansFish  Год назад

      Clouded Archers was my first thought. As long as the Congo Tetras are good sized, I think that would be a great addition. If the tetras are small, they might be snacks.

    Woohoo👏🎉🙌 let's get funky and weird with oddball fish!!
    Edit; I absolutely fell in love w/ fish when I found an old nature book at Goodwill when I was a kid. I got to go there a couple times a year and pick out a "toy" which always ended up a book😅. I would read and reread the section on Archer fish, complete with photos of them hunting for hours!! Although I can't keep most of these, or maybe any, I'm only halfway through the vid, because I can only keep nano tanks for health reasons, I still love seeing all the fish and nerding out with ppl who love fish and love what they do!! You guys are awesome!! 🙏🌊💙 🐠 ✌️
    Edit #2; ooohhhh, those betta!! What would be a minimum tank size for a pair to be happy and healthy??

    • @punkrockpapa84
      @punkrockpapa84 Год назад +1

      You could probably keep em in a 10 or 15 alone but id at least do a 20 long, theyll be happier. Ive kept them and their relative belica for years now in a 75 community w paradise fish, catfish, loaches and a pair of pearl gourami. All happy healthy fish

    • @laurabustos6560
      @laurabustos6560 Год назад

      @@punkrockpapa84thanks for the info! I've always had a 20g long on my bucket list, was dreaming of maybe dipping my toes into the dwarf Apistos or shell dwellers but maybe I'll update my idea and get the tank at the next Petco Aqueon 50% sale and do the betta. Rock on punk rock papa!! 🤘😆✌️

    • @DansFish

      I've only ever kept them on light substrate, so I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing they would.
