- Well, after #Kerensky Kon, an event I was at this year just prior to #Adepticon, the #Battlemech forcepack roadmap came out on multiple platforms. These are the various kits that CGL planned on releasing over the coming years, at retail.
Well, let's go over what they are, and let's go over which I'm most excited for. Tons of things to unpack here. It's awesome!

Thank goodness they are moving away from Kickstarter for plastic releases. You can tell it overwhelms the companies throughput.
It's also just the right move overall. This is what will help the game grow over the long term. I still expect to see some low-key kickstarters too, just not giant ones like Mercenaries or Clan Invasion.

What strikes me most is that after 2 years of this roadmap, there will be a solid selection of plastic mechs for just about every faction and era, meaning that it is much more reasonable to play whichever way anyone wants. It feels like there's a sense of CGL wanting to fill a whole bunch of lacunae and providing at least something to everyone. Sure, certain factions might still be underserved, but there will be enough out there to at least claim battlefield salvage.
Last year "Ghosts of Obeedah", now the return of the Celestials.
Has CGL finally seen the light?

not gonna lie, love the celestials and wars of reaving packs!
My 8yo daughter is in love with the Locust, so that bug pack made her really excited. I do hope they come through with that one: I don't give Lights the amount of attention I should, but she'd be happy with a handful of new mechs to paint.
I do wish they at least had a brainstorm list of what they would have for a FWL pack, but there's a LOT to work with off that list as it is.
12 bugs in one box!? Say no more, I'm interested! Also the Uziel and Axman-2N! I can add to my Mechassault collection and represent one of my favorite heavies!
really smart because for most campaigns you'd need a fair amount of bugs to fill out opfor rosters.
I am somewhat suprised they didn't include the flea...

As a Succession Wars player a lot of this doesn't interest me much but I can always use more "Ubiquitous" SW Era Mechs.
I love the groan of "ohhhh noooooo" after you say Hellstar in the CHH force pack.
Edit: I am absolutely loving the amount of battle armor and vehicles that are being put out in these!
I wish CGL would quietly forget that the Hellstar ever existed and pack a Warhawk Prime into boxes isntead, the Warhawk looks cooler anyway.
@@fix0the0spade I can see your view on it, but for what the Hellstar was built to do and when it was built to do its job the load out makes perfect sense.
It was a product of the WoB Jiha...er...kerfluffle purpose built to not rely on munition supply lines in order to better fight the WoBies.
I happen to like the Hellstar, and feel like people just need to start learning to use alternate munitions like infernos or other heat generating weapons like Plasma Cannons and Plasma Rifles. Or to move away from 'mech only based forces. I get that 'mechs are supposed to be the stars of the show and all.
I just feel that combined arms is a much more fulfilling experience and I love how the later eras start embracing it more.
Celestials, Jupiter, Jade Phoenix, Shrike, Mad Cat II...and all the other awesome stuff :) As we say in german: "Ja ist denn jetzt schon Weihnachten :)". Great news....I am so hyped now...thanks man.
Yes, yes. We're ALL pretty jazzed about protomechs. Now I have hard decisions to potentially leave space for in my 200 Savanah Master list.
Good thing the company have adapted on planning for releases yearly and those shown do look promising (all factions around).
But yeah, it is special to see all that growth happening.
I hope the Fox Patrol pack's mechs have some if its missiles missing to reflect some of the cost savings the group had to account for.
They're just broke. It'll be great.
A lot of these packs are great. I think every one has at least one mech I’m very excited for. The Celestials and Society packs are my favorite overall packs though. They’ll be great for campaign antagonists.
The thing I'm most excited about is with all these releases coming out I no longer feel the need to buy every single one and just get the ones I want.

I'm thrilled with all the MW4 mechs coming to plastic. And I loved the hell out of that game.
I need the Fox Patrol pack. I don't care if it's all rereleases. I love the Fox Patrol.
Also I need a Fox Patrol patch for my Battle jacket.
Great video! Now I have to make long-range budgeting decisions. *sigh* I actually want the Bug Bash pack, because everyone truly needs a dozen bugs in the pool.
Really looking forward to some of these releases, plus the Mercenaries box and Force Packs when they hit store shelves. I was too late to get in on the Kickstarter, so I'll have to wait a little longer

Gunsmith is what is listed not gunslinger in the Davion Calvary pack
So much good stuff, the Alyina and JF packs are what i'm most interested in. I wish they had slipped the Hauptmann and Sunder in there somewhere but i'm content with how this release schedule is looking. I am glad that these releases signal a shift to the Ilclan era and hinterlands theme. I am a bit disappointed we're finally getting a savage wolf in plastic later this year but they chose to make it pre painted!

The Jade Falcon boxes!
My Northwind highlanders seem to mostly get fleshed out by the Mercenaries KS. One can only pray that gets handled well this time, as I was shocked to learn some ppl are still waiting on their Clan Invasion KS at this point in time.
That Steiner forcepack almost seems like it was made for me. 100% Excited about getting a Berserker and Hollander in plastic, and honestly can never have enough Axemen. Also excited we're getting the Kontio (in any material!) which is one of my new faves from the RecGuides. No Hermit Crab. however, which is a crime against both mankind and the eventual carcinized crabmankind we will inevitably become.
One day we will recieve Hermit Crab. And then all will be well.
I'm excited for all the new material coming out, and I'm certainly going to pick up some of the new sets.... I'm mildly bummed that the faction I'm most passionate about wasn't on the list, but I'm hopeful they will get some love in the future.
Purple Bird and Liao should be getting stuff at some point. :)
I agree the celestials are super cool. I also would love the return of Comstar....I really just started my journey but Comstar is by far my favorite!

I agree with you 100%… even if I am a Clanner. I have a trinary of Iron Wind Jade Phoenixes… and looking forward to plastic. Glass Spider, Mad Cat Ii… couldn’t be in any more agreement!
Praised be Blake for the Celestials, but seriously, A ton of these releases make me very happy. I am also happy the 21st Centauri are getting attention.

Davion packs, Jade Bird packs and not to shabby choice in other boxes. Pretty sure I will be getting at least 90% of what is being released and I will gladly part with that money...
All the Clan stuff generally, but specifically the two Jade Falcon/AML bird boxes. Especially the AML one, as also deeply love the Jade Phoenix, Hierofalcon and Ion Sparrow designs.

Most excited for tripod! Finally! I've loved tripods in any setting since I was small, so getting one in plastic to battletech is lovely (no matter which weight class!). Also excited for the few clan vehicles, and was there something about 4 Locusts in a pack? o.o Lastly.. you did kinda sell me on the celestials, so I mgiht be getting those too!
I'm really excited for the Avatar! One of my all-time favourites since MechWarrior 3. I'd hoped there would be a couple of TRO 3058 Omni theme boxes, and maybe those will come in the future, but the Avatar is the one I wanted the most!
Like you, I'll probably be skipping the proto mechs. I never really got into them.
I am most excited excited for the Kurita Avatar, Akuma, Shiro. The clan Glass Spider and Ghost Bear pack. And if course the Wobbie Celestials!
I think I'll start dismantling marauders for battlefield set dressing. Have more than I'll ever need.
I'm looking forward to the full box of light mechs (bugs). Never been stoked about uban mechs but they are great fodder. So many will be awesome to get hold of.

I have many fond memories of using the Uziel in MW4 definitely want at least one of them. Also jazzed for the Berserker, Thanatos, Hollander, and all that battle armor. What I really really want to see though is some Capellan and FWL packs!

Oh, so much to look forward to. The rep that put on our local tourny got the stills and posted them to our area discord. There was much rejoicing from all. There is no doubt i will be getting another celestial set. I just wish the archangel was in the Dominus configuration. Did horrible damage with that one at the tourny. Both davion, steiner, and kurita lances looking forward too and like you want the sea fox pack. I have a metal Madcat mkII, but i want another. There was so much great stuff. I just wish there was a Marik lance for empire alone. Juliano, Anzu, Quasimodo, and Eris would have made a great pack.

There are SO many mechs I'm excited about on this list of upcoming releases, but nothing compares to the joy of seeing that a new Berserker model is on the way. The Berserker is such a fun, dumb mech, and I can't wait to see the updated sculpt. Coming in at a tie for second would be the Kontio, because clearly I'm obsessed with melee mechs, and the Ion Sparrow, because I need to round out my collection of bird mechs. Only disappointing thing for me is the Rime Otter being left off of the list, but fingers crossed that means Ironwind will be producing that one in the near future.
Im actually really happy about the AXM-2N. Its not optimal but I just think theyre neat.

Yup I'll Definitely be picking up all of the Stiner, and Jade Falcon, as well as a couple of the other boxes. And definitely at least 2 Super Heavies if I can switch their load outs.
I have been asking for a plastic redesign and update for the Berserker my favorite. A really hope they release a bunch of variant updates for these because quite a lot of them only have 2-4 variants.
I'm also looking forward to battle armor. But Proto mechs, I just hope they redesign their rules to make them competitive

Marik and Liao Boxes seem to be missing, but I guess they'll get announced once the Combat Manuals come out, atleast thats what I assumed. On stream I asked if we'll get a capellan mech with a Dao sword and they said yes ;). There is hope yet.

I'm pretty hyped for a plastic Thunder Fox. I love the mini but man I have such a tough time getting it to fit on the base as it is now.

I'm very interested in a Bug Box. Getting a hold of enough 20-tonners is something that deserves an easy option.

The packs I wont the Kurita Command lance, the Celestials, battlefield support: Fortifications, the Ares (I don't no why I wont it but I do)and Alyina Mercantile League pack. Mechs I wont individually the Gunsmith, Cephalus, Septicema and Osteon (I think they look good in white :)The Berserker, Zeus-x, and Kontio.

Supposedly the Ares will be coming with all the parts for its various forms, so if it's a salvage box, it'll be a large box.

Any Kickstarters they do will be much lower key. Mainstay releases are going to largely replace them it looks like. :)

A serious conversation of BV adjustment is going to need to happen when the celestials drop.

It's bizzare seeing the complete contrast between the production side improving while the community management side collapses.
Am more then happy to see House Armies at last.
I think there is a lot of deliberate anger thrown at the community side of things that is often unjustified. But that's just me.

How many different versions of bugmechs are out there in plastic currently? I know there are at least 2 versions of locust, but what about the other two?
So I'm just getting back into Battletech (or maybe getting into is more accurate considering how little I played before XD) and had recently fallen in love with the Capellan's. I didn't see any annoucements but I may have missed a different time for its release.
They've got a novel coming later this year, and there will be a Mercenary pack for Big Mac that should have a couple Cappie mechs in it.

Has there been an update on getting the first Star League forcepack out finally? I know there was some unfortunate delays, but is there hope on getting it sorted or do they have to be remade?
They're coming out once per quarter, with the Command Lance running behind atm. I'd expect the Command Lance to be out before the end of the month, but they can't announce it until the boxes are in their warehouse's hands.
The premiums are going to be separate products if they are anything like the ones we have now.
THey just included them in the list weird.

Lot of IS mechs on there I'm looking forward to, but I feel like most of them are going to be bought on the secondary market as singles. I don't need any more Thunderbolts, Panthers, Enforcers, Griffins or Marauders.
But have you considered that getting more Enforcers, Griffins, and Marauders is what's best in life??? XD
