I would guess that if the other house themed packs do well, they would come in successive quarters. But the lead time is sufficient that they just weren't mentioned here yet.
Thank you! 🙏 I find it helps to really visualize what the packs will feel like. Check out some of my other Btech videos, specifically the Star League force packs for similar treatment. I think I have to do a combined picture/update again here soon. All the Mercs stuff + this forecast is a heck of a line up. 👍🙌
Glad to see a bunch of the Mechwarrior 4 mechs coming.... but they certainly spread them thin. So many of these packs have exactly *one* mech I want (and want multiples of), surrounded by three pieces of crap. I think I may just be falling back onto 3d printing instead. Catalyst has already done enough that makes me dislike them; making their products so unattractive in an obvious attempt to make me pay extra for mechs I don't want by bundling them the way they do really puts me off of buying from them
Plan is for a distribution center in Mainland Europe and UK , they are having some VAT issues to sort out but it's moving forward slowly. Side note this does not affect the KS shipping, KS shipping is done by a separate company. Kurita Mug is the best looking. Get 2 Fox patrol is a must read
As a primarily Lyran player this has me conflicted. On one hand, between everything that has and will be released most of our flagship mechs are going to be in plastic. Hooray! Further, we are getting our themed packs before a lot of other factions whom I would have thought were more popular and more likely to get a release (Hah! suck it Capellans!) On the other hand, there are some very odd exceptions to that and important mechs left out. It is especially odd that there is no Hauptmann. That is, in my eyes, THE Lyran flagship mech. It is also the Lyran primary addition to IS omnis. I find it odd that the Suns and Kuritans get their most well known omnimechs, but the Lyrans don't. Since it is a quad, I would not have found the Barghest's exclusion to be notable save that the Thunder Fox was itself included. But since it was, why was the face of the Lyran Alliance and a key flagship mech for the LCAF ever since left out? I find that odd. As an aside I do love that the Lyrans get two of the best quad mechs in the game optimized into the two different design strategies that best take advantage of the chassis type. Other than these the only other major Lyran mechs I can think of which are absent are the Salamander and the Gauntlet. And honestly the Gauntlet probably aught be low priority since it is so well represented by the Bushmaster. However, along those lines the Zeus-X's inclusion seems odd to me. Why would they include what is as far as model representation goes, little different from the regular Zeus? I love the X, but in light of what might otherwise have been included in it's place. Were CGL to ask me I would configure the packs as such. FP1: Unchanged. FP2: Hauptmann, Barghest, Fafnir, Rawhide Oh? You want a suggestion for a third Lyran force pack? How unrealistic and unexpected of you. FP3: Salamander, Thunder Fox (this could also fit in a number of other faction or merc themed or general DA themed packs), reposed nightstar (I assumed the general cost cutting measure of at leas one repose here, but if they really want to throw a bone, the Gauntlet), Zeus X. Also, the absence of infiltrator BA feels a little odd to me. But honestly I can't complain too much there with the current BA lineup.
Hopefully your Lyran dreams still come true and there isn't too much wiggle in this forecast. Poor Capellans. Even CGL dunks on them. 😉Though I think upcoming ilClan source books might delve into them more. All and all it will be fascinating to see what CGL decides to make post the Mercs Kickstarter. Thanks for such an awesome comment. Super fun to read. (Steiner fist pump.)
I am very excited for the Reaving set. Been waiting for plastic protomechs for years. Not a fan of the metal sculpts. Here is hoping the dont remove the aesthetic of the protos.
Putting all the tripods in one box with enough parts to make, all of them would be very expensive. They’ll probably be like the premiums where you can pick and choose
For these larger box sets it is very unclear to me what the packaging format and number of mechs will be. I agree. You really need multiples of protos. Maybe they are actually individual force packs like battle armor? As described/broken out by the spreadsheet, if some of these packs do include 6 to 8 mechs, that's something pretty new from our standard 4-5. Some battle field fog has to clear here, for sure. Thanks for the comment and watching. Appreciate it!
12:00 love the Ares is coming out , thats 100 dollars here in Oz . And as a Capellan Partisan i loathe the Republic of the Sphere more than the accursed Davions and even i weep for their passing . Surely the Ares will be one set of legs with the 4 configerations as detachable tops ....... But we can hope for either
During the Adepticon livestream it was stated that it will be 1 mech with swappable arms/shoulder weapons so you can make all 7 super heavy tripods out of one box (They only listed 5 configurations in the spreadsheet but the other two are the Left arm from one of the list configurations and the right arm from a different configuration).
10:30 more joy see glad i caught your vid ....... Love the HexTech stuff and more terrain would be fantastic ......... And im a neckbeard who prefers mapsheets , roll up or paper
The light mech company pack is something I really need right now. Also weird to see three years out and almost nothing for Liao, not even a pack with a Vindicator in it.
Alpha Wolf, I considered it the omni upgrade for the Mad Cat II. Kinda hoping that the Summoner/Thor at 13:56 is actually the newer Grand Summoner/Thor II, with Endosteel and pod mounted jump jets, it increases its total pod space from 22.5 to 30.5 tons of pod space and .5 tons additional armor. Just a slight variance in appearance, but it is fairly distinct when compared side by side.
@@androssthered1157 … Will see how this all turns out. It’s obviously pretty early and lots can change, but yes, it is just force pack upon force pack raining from the heavens. 😂👍
Geez the negative Nancy's in the comment section , no wonder im banned from US related BattleTech FB pages .......... 52 different boxes and nothing but biatching ......... And about the biatching i have at least half these in metal , like i own all the Jade Falcon stuff for example , same with 21st Centuri Lancers because i bet someone stuffed up and thats supposed to say Stalker II considering the other mechs in that pack
I'm disappointed by the faction themed boxes. What I really wanted was a starter army box for each of the Great Houses. With a full company of Mechs, booklets, maps, and such in the style of the AGoAC box.
Do you know that a Liao box of this kind would not sell as well as a kurita or davion box? Your idea could only work if all the armies were equally popular... Or if your consumer base is large enough that an unpopular army would sell well enough to justify the expenses.
Bit disappointed Comstar/Wobbie players are only getting Celestials. Sure the Celestials are cool, but we got plenty of mechs for another Level II or two.
I admit to knowing not much of anything about the J era. I've heard there are some really cool Blakist rides though. Still time to baptize me into the Word of Blake I suppose. ;) Got any fave books or stories of the era I should read?
generally speaking, Comstar and WoB should have a force consisting of at least 80% 2750 TRO mechs. potentially thru year 3055. after that, things begin to get murky, with WoB faction spending many years within the FWL.
Purple Bird is strong enough to solider on without the love. 😉 I agree though. Would be nice to see the Force Manuals extended out to houses and popular clans. 👍
At least the 21st Centauri can kinda be a Marik box. Also the complete lack of Vehicle boxes over all that battle armor is kinda annoying to me. We got several Vees from the Recognition guides that would be added in as well. Disappointed.
Capellan and Marik stuff will get done , theres like gaps and stuff , it's probably that the Clan and Lyran force books are fairly well advanced where as CC and FWL are probably still to bare bones to announce anything
We just got our shipping costs in the backerkit... I need to pay almost half of what I backed in shipping in VAT in Europe. This is scam levels, though CGL is "looking into it". But then again, they put "EU friendly shipping" on their KS too.
Ugh. I'm really sorry to hear that. Shipping costs are the worst. (Edit: Sounds like from the Kickstarter update just now they are seeking to get an update from the shipping company as soon as they can for an explanation of the high cost.)

@canislupus3655 yes, but they don't have anything to do with writing the rules of the game. the packs are also just suggested typical units - not the 'only faction X can use them'. which is what they need to avoid.
@bruced648 CGL has already done Comstar and Merc themed force packs. I don't think they're going to be faction locking units or giving factions mandatory special rules, beyond the optional things found in stuff like Jihad Secrets: The Blake Documents
I think as long as CGL and the BTech community is helping reinforce that really, "any mech goes", with the exception of limits on production era, we are probably pretty safe here. To me, faction differences add rich flavor. But, it's flavor of our own personal Star/Lance kitchen making. You can choose to follow some of the mech creation guides in the Combat/Force Manuals ... or not ... to make a more typical or atypical mech for the House it covers. I don't think there will ever be any exclusive rules. (Note: I'm pretty biased here as I've got an overly long video on fitting mechs to factions using Master Unit List. I freaking love the factions!)
@thehobbyhabit don't get me wrong. I absolutely support the wide variety of factions and the motivations each brings to the game. I also agree with units most likely encountered within a particular faction. mostly, it's faction specific rules. that's what I think would damage the game.

There's a Falconer in the very first pack shown in this video. The really sad missing Davion mech from TR3055 is the 184kph Fireball.
