Impressed with my new S6 lite just bought it with trade in offer for £150 UK, very comparable with the iPad now it feels like support has moved up a notch in the last few years for android tablets, scream good, sound brilliant, flexibility from these extra features DEX, s-pen makes it a better option than the iPad.
I had the iPad and the 2 things about it I didn’t like was the non laminated screen and the non expandable storage. That being said, I have the S6 lite now and the display on the iPad was better (but that gap between the glass was a deal breaker) and I found that the iPad was snappier. Samsung’s hardware is punctually better that apple’s, specially the stereo sound and screen ratio which are likely the most important aspects for a entertainment centered tablet. However, the operating system on iPad is tens of times better for productivity and even more if the user already have other apple devices. It really depends on what the user needs.
I got a Lenovo android tablet from 2015 on android 6 that I can STILL install and run Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime, Disney plus, etc. My iPad mini 3 on iOS 12.5 and most of those streaming apps wont load or update.
Just got the iPad 9 as free gift, the iPad looks so SMALL in your hands 😂 I can barely hold mine in one hand. Anyway thanks for sharing all your insights!!
Had iPad 9 and returned it and got the S6 lite 2022. My must haves was for watching RUclips, IPTV, and Netflix and apple tablets are horrible for watching such things do to the screen ratio. Screen was nicer on iPad but I'll keep the S6 lite.
I went from a tab s7 to the ipad 9 and that was the best choice i mainly do gaming and procreate drawing the ipad 9 is just superior in everything execpt the screen ratio and it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack

Tue S6 Lite 2022 is on sale for 250 USD in my country. Still not fully convinced due to the 4gb ram, but I'd use it mainly for taking notes and reading ebooks and pdfs, so I guess that's enough. Hopefully 4gb will be enough for watching a video and taking notes at the same time.
I had Samsung s6 lite for over a year, everything was great besides one thing that drove me crazy and eventually had me get rid of it: painfully SLOW!!! It would take painass long time to load a page and open up an app. Some people may think it’s ok, but it was super annoying for me.

Hi. Thanks for your great videos. Very informative and honest. I got the S6 Lite 2020 version in 2021 after watching your many reviews. No regrets whatsoever. It is an amazing, complete and capable tablet for a good price. Just one question regarding support - will the 2020 version still have the same updates from Samsung in parallel or will Samsung only keep updating the newest version going forward?
they'll update your tablet for at least as long as their four year promise, but the 2022 version will get a few more years of support thanks to the updated soc
re laminated displays vs non laminated. As the weakest part is the screen and most often its only the glass that breaks not lcd too replacing just the glass is way cheaper than both. but way harder for end user to do if laminated.
At the end of the day it costs the same to do a full proper replacement, because the manufacturers won't sell your the parts for a resonable price. I've still got my old Galaxy a5 in the cabinet with a busted screen, but the phone still works, they still want 80 bucks for the display..

I don't quite know the ratio of my tab a10, but I almost find it perfect because it's almost the same ratios as a4 papers for pdf's and stuff. 4:3 sounds almost as square as my 5:4 monitor I use for Discord.
Just to make things clear the ipad 9 is a gaming best it can plays genshin impact medium-high at 60fps,asphalt 9 60fps,Diablo eternals ultra at 60fps if you are a gamer and cannot decide i just go with ipad 9 you wont regret it.
nope you will DEFINITELY regret it the s6 lite might not be good but it is android it can still run games medium 60 fps+you can hack offline games and well, if you aren't planning of upgrading in the next 4 years well, the ipad 9 is gonna be a horrible experience for you

Man I love your channel, I saw a lot of videos comparing different tablets and stuff and I just couldn't decide... Until I saw yours 👌. Keep up the good work man, new suscriber here ❤️
Hi there, I'm so pleased I came across your video because here's the thing. I have the Samsung galaxy tab S2 from 2019 and thought its time to "upgrade" and 3 days ago, went for this S6 lite 4G LTE and ordered it directly from Samsung UK. BUT ..the screen display? Am i the only one disappointed at it's lack of contrast and colour vibrancy when compared with my S2? I had a long "verbal chat" with one of their very helpful techs who explained why the S6 lacks and that being, it doesnt have 120 Hertz and an amoled screen which my aging S2 has. It's beginning to make me appreciate that it's actually a great tablet. They are happy to take it back, it's packed and ready to go, (it cost me £399 by the wat), but now after watching your video, hmm...Im wondering if I should keep it? What are your thoughts here?
the tab s2 was a flagship tablet with an amoled screen. the tab s6 lite is a mid range device (low end is currently the tab A8) with an lcd. what did you expect. for amoled you have to go tab s7+ or tab s8+ (non plus models have lcd too)
Apple level of support is relative. I am watching your video as i shop for a new tablet because my iPad mini 5 died in 14 months and will cost $299 to fix. UBreakiFix said they see far more iPads in the shop than any other device. Wondering what continued iOS updates do for anyone with a bricked device that they care for perfectly.
I loved my Samsung S6 lite until one day, it just wouldn’t turn on. I lost EVERYTHING😢 Never any damage, not a single scratch. Repair shop couldn’t fix it. Such a bummer! Now onto the iPad but, now I’m worried it won’t be as good
Just sold my Ipad yesterday. I have always loved samsung products, but i had the latest ipad and updated it, all of a sudden my screen would turn pink and blank out then the apple would just flash for a while before coming on. Once it came on it couldnt go below 50% charge it would blank oit again so I purchased a samsung galaxy tab s6 lite and plan on getting an ultra s8 really soon. I'll never go back to apple
Hi. Thank you for the inputs. I'd like to point out that it's almost impossible to watch this, without having the eyes on the screen. That's sad, now that the knowledge itself are great. Consider to think about making it just a bit more friendly for listening. It could be as simple as 'Tab' and 'iPad' or whatever 😊.
Just a small adjustment: You're saying 'here' and 'here' in a few statements. So my comment are not really fair! 😁 I just took myself in a 'jump back in time' more than three times. So... In some, or maybe even most, you're more than clear enough 😊.
same but i think i will buy the s6 because the android notetaking apps are free and good , and i think ipad is good for gaming but for just making notes and stuff s6 is enough. AND s6 comes with a pencil whereas you have to buy the apple pencil as well for ipad
The only 2 real advantages the 2022 S6 has over the iPad are a laminated screen and USB C, I wouldn't consider micro sd because I don't use them, but hey, you can throw that as the 3rd + for the S6. That being said, I would wait for the iPad 10 to see what it has to offer, if the rumors are to be believed we can expect USB C and a laminated screen.
@@novakk86 nah the 1st gen apple pencil is a pain to charge and you have to pay an extra $100 for it. Samsung spen does not have to be charged to work and is included with tablet. That is a huge advantage over iPad.
If you are buying tab for study like reading Pdf - both Samsung and iPhone are good. It really doesn't matter. And for note making, believe me it was lot harder to make a note digitally. Literally took to much time. Don't just see that some people are making asthetic note, it was too tome consuming. And if you really want performance - its best to switch with Mi note 6 or OnePlus pad.
Would I be able to mark up PDFs with the Samsung? Specifically, can I write answers into a PDF of a school workbook, even if it is not a fillable PDF form? If so, then I'm sold. Awesome video, too!
@@noserotonin3022 S-Pen always has palm rejection and doesn't need battery. has tilt and pressure. As a free bundle it does more than 1st gen Apple Pencil
S6 DOES have palm rejection and it is great. Spen does not need to be charged while apple pencil does though, and the 1st gen apple pencil is annoying to charge. Plus the S-pen is included with the tablet and you don't have to shell out an extra $100 for it like with iPad. The writing experience feels better with the S-pen as well in my opinion (tho this is subjective). The apple pencil is pretty clicky clacky while spen is smooth and silent. Overall if the stylus is the most important feature for you, i'd go with Samsung over iPad

After my 5th Samsung tablet in 10 years, I finally went back to Apple ... ipad (9 with the horrible speakers) again out of frustration. i love my samsung phones and the s pens, also the android system, but the tablets, in my experience, are VERY poor build quality...ALL died the month after the warranty ran out.
Samsung TFTs are very good. They have the advantage of being more durable, ie harder to crack. They don't have as good a viewing angle but I don't think it's anything drastic at all. Best thing is to go see it live at a shop somewhere. If you're buying sight unseen, I wouldn't worry Samsung do great quality products and are experts when it comes to screens. I still have a Galaxy 10.1 from 10 years ago and screen is *amazing*. Pretty sure it is TFT as most spec sites say it is.
yeah sure get the ipad and pay 100 dollars more for a pen that needs to be charged... the s6 lite is better ALL FEATURES except it doesn't need charging

Even with a sale on the iPad right now, to get the level of storage I’d need and a stylus, it would set me back $500. The Samsung is currently at $250 including stylus. Add a 256gb for $20 and it’s $275. The iPad is nearly double the Samsung, at which point it’s no longer a comparable device.

Very good comparison video! I appreciate you keeping it clear and explaining things.
Budget friendly and for studies( including taking notes with pen), Which one between these two or others will be best? Can you suggest please

It's all your call afterall.
the tab s2 was a flagship tablet with an amoled screen. the tab s6 lite is a mid range device (low end is currently the tab A8) with an lcd. what did you expect. for amoled you have to go tab s7+ or tab s8+ (non plus models have lcd too)
Thank you fir the great comparison. Defiantly I will like&subscribe

Just a small adjustment:
You're saying 'here' and 'here' in a few statements. So my comment are not really fair! 😁
I just took myself in a 'jump back in time' more than three times.
So... In some, or maybe even most, you're more than clear enough 😊.
I can't choose... I need tablet for studying and drawing, I don't need it for gaming and which one is suitable for me?
same but i think i will buy the s6 because the android notetaking apps are free and good , and i think ipad is good for gaming but for just making notes and stuff s6 is enough. AND s6 comes with a pencil whereas you have to buy the apple pencil as well for ipad

What temper glass should i use in my samsung tab .
I'm glad you mentioned you have big hands. Till that point I thought the s6 lite looked ipad mini sized :-)
Mainly for digital art which one would you recommend the original s6 or the lite 2022
The only 2 real advantages the 2022 S6 has over the iPad are a laminated screen and USB C, I wouldn't consider micro sd because I don't use them, but hey, you can throw that as the 3rd + for the S6. That being said, I would wait for the iPad 10 to see what it has to offer, if the rumors are to be believed we can expect USB C and a laminated screen.
sadly, i saw videos and post both from youtube and twitter that said the rumor about the ipad 10 having laminated display might not be true
Having an included stylus isn't an advantage as compared to paying $99 for one?
3rd party support alone makes it better than top apple flagships

For studying and mote taking purpose which one is best?
S6 lite is definitely better for study
If you are buying tab for study like reading Pdf - both Samsung and iPhone are good. It really doesn't matter.
And for note making, believe me it was lot harder to make a note digitally. Literally took to much time.
Don't just see that some people are making asthetic note, it was too tome consuming.
And if you really want performance - its best to switch with Mi note 6 or OnePlus pad.
Would I be able to mark up PDFs with the Samsung? Specifically, can I write answers into a PDF of a school workbook, even if it is not a fillable PDF form? If so, then I'm sold. Awesome video, too!

no palm rejection, pressure sensitivity of the pen yes

I want a tab for mainly watching movies, youtube and tv shows so which one is better for me? Is TFT display bad with compared to apple ips display?
Samsung TFTs are very good. They have the advantage of being more durable, ie harder to crack. They don't have as good a viewing angle but I don't think it's anything drastic at all. Best thing is to go see it live at a shop somewhere. If you're buying sight unseen, I wouldn't worry Samsung do great quality products and are experts when it comes to screens. I still have a Galaxy 10.1 from 10 years ago and screen is *amazing*. Pretty sure it is TFT as most spec sites say it is.
why do you want a tab for that? Get a decent display IPS + good color details and good size + like >300nits.
With the Apple Pencil, is it better to compare iPad 9 to S7 FE - the prices will be much closer? Hardware wise, iPad would still win?
