We should indeed have a "death by no railing" death in the game. But with that, we should also have a "push down the stairs" option that may or may not result in death depending on the sims strength. Like if your sims physical strength is weak, then the sim won't die. Man. That'd definitely spice up the game a bit more lmao. They keep adding more ways to die anyway, why not?

To push it even further, I'd probably build a 1 by 1 passage in the attic, this way you could have a room on the other side of the house too and probably keep everything 2squares large. Or go the easyway and make a secret basement that could go out in the back of the lot, hidden by bushes or something.
Or, hear me out, use the new HSY ladders so they can climb down by a "condemned" window.

That would make sense. Hiding a second living space from visitors is a lot more realistic than hiding it from the people who live there, unless you make the walls castle-or-palace-wall thickness (castles had thick walls to make them stronger and thus easier to defend, and palaces often had double walls with a space between them to conceal corridors that the servants would use to move around unseen).

This has inspired me to try to do this too, I have thought about doing this, but I know it will be hard and really time consuming, and I already take hours to finish a normal house, not to mention my Sims!
I'm the type of Sim player that likes doing both, playing in CAS and in Build Buy mode, though I think I like CAS a bit more, because I know I'm good at making unusual Sims, my houses are always a hit or miss, sometimes I do well enough that it makes me wonder if I really made it myself, lol! Great build! Well hidden second tiny living space. Now I kinda want to watch you make two families and play the challenge. I’ve seen different players do it differently. Fakegamergirl did it to where the family in the walls isn’t allowed to come out so long as the other family is awake and in the house and she could only play with the family in the walls. The goal was to not get caught being out in the rest of the house by the other family. Another player I saw did it differently. They played the main family instead of the one in the walls and had set it up so that both had jobs, school, etc, so had to leave the house. The challenge would end if his sims during routing to do those things met up with the family in the walls. Another person played it as the family in the walls, but since they had what they needed to survive it was about starting chaos for the other family (starting fires, breaking things, stealing things, etc) and not getting caught in the act. I think the house you built is the best I’ve seen in that from both inside and out it looks like a normal house and the area the in-the-walls family lives doesn’t stand out when looking at the house inside or outside. Some players used the hidden door that looks like a bookcase in their builds, but others used the teleport cheat that you mentioned. Since it’s two families (usually a mom, dad, and two kids [or a teen and a kid] plus another mom, dad, and either one or two kids [or kid and teen] it makes either a challenge to get them all back into the wall without getting caught or not having them route near each other and get caught, etc. It’d be interesting to see you put your own spin on the challenge, too.

I feel like you could put a secret basement in for part of it, then a tunnel coming up in the garden shed to get in and out in secret. You'd have to lock the main house doors to the secret family sims, and the secret doors would have to be locked to the main house sims. The only time you hear anything through a wall in the sims is in City Living apartments. They're very sound proof.

Kinda off topic but i always like watching other people build and furnish houses because of all the cc they have. As someone who plays on consol and cant get all the fun cc, i always like seeing whats out there.

I do have a few pitches for the family hidden in the walls.
You wanna know what's creepier than a person or people living inside your walls? The same people sneaking into your house while you aren't there or sleeping. I would add a few bookshelf doors to the hallways inside the wall that the wall people can get through, and have them be locked for everyone except the wall people.
Secondly don't give the wall people showers, toilets, a fridge or electricity. You want the wall people to sneak in to the regular peoples rooms to make things extra creepy. All you need is a uncomfortable sleeping place, after all you do want the wall people to not be found out.
Thirdly, add those police mirror windows. Where the normal family just assumes they are mirrors while the wall people can creepily watch them. Especially add those mirror windows in private areas like the bathroom or bedrooms.
Fourthly, you build a creepy underground maze! This will give you more latters you can use to get into spots inside the walls above, but the maze does make navigating it a bit tricky. And your wallperson might take too long to get where he needs to be, and the house people return from work before they make it!
Fifthly, congratulations! You have created a incredibly creepy scenario. But uh oh, if the normal family spots you they don't react whatsoever to a person coming out of your wall! But do not fear, I do have the solution. Pick between either making the wall people werewolves or vampires. If you pick werewolves finish the lone wolf aspiration, and whenever you leave the walls remember to transform first. This will make the house people frightened and pass out at the sight of you. If you go with the Vampire you won't scare the sims really, but you will be playing a parasite living in their walls, sneaking out to feed on them at night.

I feel like a basement and an exterior hidden access to the basement would have made this even creepier.
The way I think of the "hidden people in the walls" story is kind of building it like crawl spaces and walled up rooms. So like extra rooms in the attic, a room that kind of has a walled off closet and a basement that seems to be walled off. Just pulling from horror movies.

You should totally do a gameplay with this house where a vampire or something like that live in the walls and then a “normal” family moves in because they think it’s a normal place but then a lot of wired stuff will happen 😃

A cool thing you could’ve added was put a few little dog doors and hide them behind things like a plant pot, a table, a mirror, at the back of a closet etc. and the family would sneak through them when everyone went out

i feel like this would make a great idea to build two town homes and in between is the walls family space. because to me it seemsthat the outside is clearly space you could visually tell is missing in your house. especially as a new modern home it feels like you'd tell that the outside of the house and the inside layout doesn't match if that makes sense.
