    This is a great video! You gave us a great look at the Camp Chef grill. It should be the new Sportsmans grill. Camp Chef did the right changes to start in new pagr in the Sportsmans grill.
    You did a wonderful video. You show us everything! With your unboxing video, you gave us the best look at this new grill!
    I hope Lodge is crying in there beer now. I hope Camp Chef sells a ton of these grills!

    The Camp Chef grill really seems to have done a great job. I love my Santana Foundry “sportsman grill look alike”… it’s a perfect copy of the Lodge Sportsman Grill, and it works great to me. Greetings from Brazil, my friend 🇧🇷

    i would skip all the cast iron hibachi grills and just get a weber go anywhere charcoal grill with craycort cast iron grills.
    i love that thing more than i did my lodge sportsman

    looks ok. theres a grill called the oklahoma rambler charcoal grill, it was cast iron grates and a adjustable charcoal tray for different ways of cooking. Its the same price as the camp chef grill but it looks much better tbh.

    It's being sold under many different names as they are now produced in China. I just picked up one from Amazon for $85. And they are identical to the lodge except slightly smaller. Parts are interchangeable

    Great thing about the chimney is you can quickly start some booster coals on the side, if needed.

      Yes I love the charcoal chimneys they are great and honestly I don’t know how people did with out them before

    If they make lining for easier cleanup it would be worth the price for me. I always have to put aluminum foil on the bottom.

    So instead of adding more charcoal or coal, do you think if you turned the great over so that the meat was closer to the fire that would work?

    Is there an advantage to charcoal/wood grilling as opposed to gas grilling?

    I was thinking about getting a 3in1 smoker but one of these grills would probably last Generations

    Question plz.
    Is the Lodge Sportsman the same size as this grill?
    Not asking about the Lodge pro.
    I do not want that one.
    Thank you so much!

    Would this be a good grill for the beach? Givin the windy conditions…

    • @luisj.castironcooking
      @luisj.castironcooking  2 года назад

      Yes I think this grill should do fine at the beach. The weight is something to consider but overall I feel like it is a great tailgating grill

    Thanks for the review, I'm still debating which to get, I'm seeing the old sportsmans on Facebook new for 75 and up, I like them but not sure lodge is making replacement parts for them , this grill is 139 at bass pro, being made in China it might be harder to get replacement parts if something happens, the new lodge pro is 10 bucks more than the camp chef, I don't like the idea of not having the coal door on the lodge pro, decisions , decisions

    • @luisj.castironcooking
      @luisj.castironcooking  2 года назад

      Definitely a tough choice. Coal/fire door is nice to have I won’t disagree with that but the Lodge Pro Grill is a great grill as well. All I can say is that Camp Chef is located here in the US but their iron is out casted in China. Lodge is made here in the US. If possible I would recommend the Lodge kick off grill and perhaps the camp chef grill too.

      The ears brake off the Coal Door that’s why they don’t make it that way anymore
