Nowadays, everything is so p.c. and everybody is way too sensitive which is why these young, new artists today couldn't get away with a quarter of the shit that he did. When it came to musicianship, Prince was the ultimate gangster. He broke all the rules, rewrote them to suit him and his music, and got away with it... and did it at a time when it was unheard of! I still trip off the fact he's no longer with us. LONG LIVE THE PHENOMENON KNOWN AS PRINCE!!! R.I.P.
Prince was really special. I only wish I had taken the piano classes that I was offered from a concert pianist in Junior High that he did. There will always be only one prince though. Rest in peace. Our Purple bad one.
Venancia Hopkins, and the song after Glam Slam was incredible too - “Anna Stesia”. “Gregory looks just like a ghost and then a beautiful girl, the most...”. The true genius that Price was that Michael pales in comparison.

Just incredible and unforgettable emotion and how his songs made us feel. What true magnificence. No one will EVER come close! We love you & miss you so much, Prince of our hearts! 🎼💜🕊

I was at the 1988 Lovesexy tour & my friend & I were invited to Princes private party 🎉🎉 for only 50 people ❤ I think the face we had black bobbed hair, basque tops, elbow length black satin gloves mini skirts & knee length boots may have helped 😅😅😅😅😅 x
Also singing and playing guitar while dancing blind folded on stage in front of a ton of people for a music video that he didn't even get to reap any reward for considering Lovesexy was deemed a "commercial failure" compared to his previous sales lol
Out of all the 80's U.S. Prince concerts the "Lovesexy Tour" was visually his best concert. The stage, the props, the costume and set changes...he was much more relaxed and comfortable...he even showed us his basketball skills during the concert. One notable aspect of this tour was that Prince played a lot of B-sides and some songs from The Black Album. But by far this tour was well thought out and visually stunning.
I saw it in New York at the Garden. It was an unbelievable show. Extremely tight production. Still have my tour book. That was also beautifully shot and laid out. Tightest band I've ever seen.
He was never like this on a tour again. There was just something about the way he was on this tour, there were no show boating guitar Solo's. There was a hunger and a passion for the concept of the show.
I saw this magnificent show in Greensboro, N.C., at the Greensboro Coliseum. It was one of the best theatrical performance I’ve ever seen him perform, since the 1999 Triple Threat Tour, which I saw in Hampton, VA. The month and year was November of 1982. Rest in Power Guitar Hero.✨
I saw him Twice at the O2 on the 21 Nights Tour, and I will never forget it. I drove for 7 Hours to get there and I was in tears all the way home at what I had just witnessed. The most Wonderful Concert Night of my life, and I have seen many of the so called greats, having worked for a Major Record Company getting Tickets was easy and on the Final Concert night our Seats were right next to the stage. We were so close I could almost touch him! Went backstage after the Gig and got within about 10 feet of him, but no nearer for the hundreds of bodyguards, was a joy just to see him so close. I will never forget it, and I listen to him every day. I’m even tearing up while typing this!
John Plasket As unique and great as the album was, it didn't have that mainstream appeal. You had to have been a pretty big prince fan, to appreciate this album
I think him being nude on the cover turned people off, the mainstream mostly so WB didn't want to promote it properly. When it was on some shelves, it was actually covered up so the nudity wouldn't "offend" people. SMH! Prince was always ahead of his time and always did what he wanted. This album is a total masterpiece.💜💜
I MOST DEFINITELY AGREE.....PRINCE ROCKED THIS ALBUM AND IT'S CONPET OUT OF THE BALLPARK! TRULY A MISSUNDERTOOD MASTERPIECE THAT ONLY PRINCE COULD ACCOMPLISH! ....I love him tremendously.
This is one of those songs that was so beautiful to me as a kid that every time I heard it I felt like I couldn't breathe. Prince has multiple songs like that for me. This one brings me back to my childhood. I almost feel sad now just hearing it. Beautiful song. Thank you Prince.
Me too. Particularly, the synth outro. It mesmerized, even somewhat scared me as a kid. It used to make me think of being trapped in a tunnel. To this day, when I hear that part I'm taken back to that thought and that time.
Lovesexy is the quintessence of Prince. His top. His most experimental and dared work. The songs, the guitars section that are the nineth sinfony, the message, the faboulous but bad treated cover, all the details of the graphic design, the tour:with the most beautiful stage and details ever... And people still talking about P Rain as the Prince's peak... they didn't catch anything. LOVESEXY!!!!!!
What a great homage to David Bowie! I love them both and was so happy when I read that, Bowie sang in a song the line "my little red Corvette has driven by" and Prince answered with "Glam slam thank you ma'am" (taken from Suffragette city "wham bam thank you ma'am")
One of my favorite Prince videos. R.I.P Cat and prayers 2 her family. 🙏🏽. I have 2 be real I didn't care 4 her in these later years, but she was Prince's best dancer. They're chemistry was unmatched.

I can't take how fucking cool all this was! The music, the clothes, PRINCE! Like how fortunate were those people to be alive to be at that concert and witness this masterpiece??

This man should still be walking this earth. Life is so unfair sometimes. Miss him dearly.
He was poisoned by the elites in the industry! He was taking Vicodin 4 his pain and they put Fentanyl in pills!

He's back to consciousness now. Speak to him, meditate. I met him in a field when dreaming. It was him.
Self medicating is dangerous. He gave that message to Us all.
