Scuf warranty 6mo vs Sony 12mo, Scuf cost $199 starting to $249 (not including shipping) vs Sony $199 (free shipping), Scuf permanent sticks vs Sony replaceable. These alone have me preferring Sony. Ultimately everyone is entitled to their opinions, but Sony isn’t pulling any punches in wanting to be competitive here. Not to mention that Sony keeps adaptive triggers AND adjustable throw, something you have to pick between with Scuf

I'm no Scuf hater, but let's be real, a quarter of what you're paying is for the name, while I feel that's a bit less so with the Edge for these controllers. If it was ps4 era I'd say Scuf hands down, but times change and imo Scuf has traded innovation for more features and the "pro" aspect. We'll see in year or so which one actually holds up completely but I gotta say my bet has to be the sony

You must've gotten a bad controller cuz this leather feel you are talking about is not true on mine. The back paddles feel fine. You are bashing this controller and it's not bad at all. Your friend pulling the PlayStation off could happen but it's not made for what you said it's for a gamer's edge by having it plugged in. I have 2 Aim controllers and I love those but I paid about $300 each and they have stick drift after about 8 months or so of playing warzone alot. Aim has a lifetime warranty which is great but they charge you to fix stick drift at like $30 plus you pay shipping to them. Now back to the edge controller it functions almost the same as the Aim controller. The only difference to me is the digital triggers on the aim that I paid for. However I see why Sony didn't go with that because the edge controller is for all games and not just shooters. I think $200 isn't bad for all you get but to each their own .The replaceable module is a game changer. As far as the software goes and trying different curves with the sticks I tried a few and default felt best to me. The weight isn't that big of a deal in your hand unless you have an old woman's hands or something. I'm sorry bruh but you have to be a scuff fan boy to be honest because everyone that I've seen in almost all videos I've ever watched talk about how shitty scuff controllers are. I'm not saying to run out and get an edge controller but it's a Sony controller and has a lot of advantages over some of the competition and the price being right up there as with being able to change out your stick on the fly.

Also keep in mind, most 3rd party controllers are geared towards FPS. The DualSense Edge is geared towards all around gaming & also people with accessibility issues. The paddles on the back if put in the right way just magnetically clip on without any force & easily come out without damaging the ports. I received mine yesterday & although I’ve never had any third party controllers the ease of use, 1st party integrated software & response of the Edge makes it well worth the $200 in my opinion.

As Sony is a big company, they can order millions of them and make it significantly cheaper. This means they can easily incorporate it into their controller without needing to change the price! I'll prob end up getting the edge, mostly because I'm not a person who plays wz/cod a lot so for me, replaceable sticks + case + haptic triggers is a better pick over the clicky 4 paddles on scuf. Ur 100% right when u say scuf is number 1 for fps and I think that's the question you have to ask when picking which to buy. Do u want 4 clicky nice paddles or replaceable stick modules. also lowest setting on the trigger for edge have way more travel than the scuf triggers 😂

I have to say that the same type of dome is inside edges back button system. We will see how long they will last. Good thing is that both back buttons on edge have theyr own circuit boards, which I suppose makes them easier to change.

I have both, and I can tell you that my controller has malfunctioned during game play and has been so frustrating. The problem with Scuf is their warranty sucks and if you buy one and are not satisfied there return policy sucks.. hence red flag and stay away from.
Odd thing is before the Edge came out I bought one of those $20 mod kits and added the paddles to my PS5 controller and my game play was better with that verse the scuff.
Also like others mentioned in the chat your too focused on PC. And weight shouldn’t be a factor. If a controller gets too heavy then it’s time to go outside and stay away from the TV.

Coming from Xbox both of these options are meh for me. DualSense Edge with only 2 back paddles means I still need to take off my right thumb to click on 2 buttons, and Scuf have HORRIBLE warranty (6 months compare to 3 years including accident insurance I got for the Elite Series 2, and some Redditors said the repairs with Scuf are very expensive).
