This was my favorite piece of music also - gave me chills when I first watched Inception back in 2010… I think Ludwig’s “Can You Hear the Music” has become my new favorite, or even “Destroyer of Worlds” Ludwig and Hans are unreal
The reason as to why it’s many people’s favorite is because it’s very simple and moves upwards the entire time, until the end. Like a consistent inception.
I always have goosebumps, at the same time I want to dance, cry and laugh at the same time....Hans Zimmer music for: Pirates of the Caribbean, the Davinci Code, Interstellar, Dune, Inception, Dark Knight Trilogy, Gladiators and and and... Film music for 150 films... The man is insane and the sounds are epic
I've been lucky enough to see Zimmer perform this 3 times - the last time was front row in my home town and I got to meet him afterwards. The most starstruck I've ever been
Simply one of the greatest pieces of music ever written, it's even better in the context of the movie. Zimmer is unmatched as the best film composer of all time, maybe even the best composer full stop.
When I saw this movie I didn't realize it was a Hans Zimmer soundtrack. Cue the horns and I'm like "!?". Also, yes, totally recommend the Live in Prague dvd. Or seeing him live. Best concert I ever went to.
My love for OST from movies came with two of my first CD's I ever got, Mark Knopfler's "Local Hero" and "The Princess Bride". He has made a number of soundtracks that I just love. I can't even ask you to listen to any one, because they are all wonderful, and what's worse is that you kinda need to listen to the whole soundtrack, as they build up, and you can kinda feel the mood or the action in the movie, from just listening to the music. Like, in "The Princess Bride", you can hear when they are at the market, or the sword duel, or the suspenseful moments, or in the marshes with the giant rodents. If you have seen the movie, just a brief moment of the music makes you replay the entire scene in your head. I love Mark Knopfler so much...
It's all in the name of the piece. Think about what an incredible artistic portrayal of time this piece of music is in every element; rhythm, chord structure and progression... how cyclic it is, a lot like phases of life. We grow, we learn, and, like the piece, the complexity of our lives expands. Our understanding expands. The depth and nature of the questions we continue asking expands. The first note hits a bit harder than the subsequent 1st beat percussion; like beginning. The strings chop their 8th notes just like our day to day seems to hurry on by us... but the melody sweeps in whole notes like the substance of our lives these 8th note days create. The two primary sounds are a piano and strings, like it taking 2, a man and a woman, to create a new human. Then listen to the end again. No percussion, no strings, no rhythm... we're left floating on the perception of time established in us by the music itself. We're on IT'S time... a two-note chord on a piano... perhaps an illustration of two in love becoming a harmonious one. I suppose the very luckiest of us get to pass in the company of the love of our lives. Dynamics... the base volume of the song crescendo's all the way to the end of that magnificent and bombastic horns feature... A lot like life, no? I'm astounded anew every time I hear this piece. Great review!
This is breath-taking no matter whether it's the original, or any of the other variations out there (I especially like a couple of amazing adaptations that I saw played on church organs, one of which included a piano in addition to the organ). I certainly enjoyed seeing the intense reactions this score pulled out of you, and the thoughts behind each of these. For something a bit different, there is a duet between Scott Hoying and Mario Jose, who use this score as the background music while they sing the lyrics to LP's "Lost on You" over the top (it can be found on Scott's personal youtube channel). That performance is amazing, and Scott full out belts in a couple of parts, while Mario's vocals soar over the top, and he does his own belting as well. If you haven't seen that video, it is definitely worth a reaction, that's for sure. :) Keep safe and well.
Thanks for watching! This was such a great request, so thank you for that as well. Be sure to like this video and help me get to 3K subs by 2022! I appreciate each of you! 😁🙌
Hans Zimmer, my gosh. Just brilliant. You should check out his, “The Pacific” score as well. It’s just another masterpiece that’s, in my humble opinion, is just as moving as this.
If you haven't seen them yet, i highly recommend reacting to some of Hans Zimmers Live Performances in Prague. He assembled some of the best musicians for that concert and they performed some of my all time favourite pieces, such as soundtracks from Inception, Lion King, Pirates of The Caribbean and The Dark Knight.
Loved your reaction. This piece is so gorgeous it literally makes me weep. Would love to hear your reaction to the track Payneful Piano and some pieces from Everybodys Gone to the Rapture video game score. I feel like video game scores have come a long way since the 8bit music. Thanks.
Who sayed you will not have the opportunity to compose music for a movie? We have the duty to try everything in life. You'll never know what tomorrow can bring to you. That's why trying, trying and an never endying trying sometimes can bring you results. But,in Romania is a sentence : "Be carefull what you wish because one day that wish can come true and you will discover you are not ready for it." Every wish is like a two ways cutting sword so be prepared when that wish will come true to face the consenquenses.I wish you all the best,i'm sure you are a good composer and you will grow.Thumbs up for you reaction and i subscribed to your channel.Never give up to your dreams and one day they will become true.Sorry for my english,i know it sucks but i think you understand what i sayed.
This score perfectly matches the feel of the film. A different Sci-Fi take with a lot to say on a poignant emotional level. I assume you've watched the movie? Hans Zimmer always hits hard - I'd recommend a few other of his scores if you liked this, mainly Gladiator, Interstellar, Blade Runner 2049, and The Dark Knight.
Noice. If you're interested in more interesting pieces for reactions - from Hans I can vastly recommend "Chevaliers de Sangreal" from Angels & Demons(?). EDIT: Perhaps Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor) by John Murphy from the film Sunshine - later modified slightly and used in Kick Ass 2 (called "Big Daddy's Death"), etc. Good bit, though you've probably heard it in a number of film trailers as it became pretty popular that way.
Hi Chris, have you heard Ecstasy Of Gold, Il Volo sang it in their concert that was a tribute to Ennio Morricone, the cd was just recently released x It is better known as The Good, The Bad and the Ugly x
Just imo Zimmer is the greatest cinematic composer of all time. He seems to have a somewhat unconventional view of harmony and melody. A very unified view. There's hardly any other modern composer who can pull emotion out of me the same way. That's something mostly accomplished by the likes of Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin.
As much as I love soundtracks it only recently occurred to me to check out reactions of them lol. Reactions by folks who know music are the best. Should Do the Dragon Heart score.
@ If you start doing them. Do two for each. The music itself and then another for how it was used. A great one would be the score in Thin Red Line during the village assault.
My favorite piece of music ever. Simply the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard.
Isn't it amazinggggg!
This was my favorite piece of music also - gave me chills when I first watched Inception back in 2010… I think Ludwig’s “Can You Hear the Music” has become my new favorite, or even “Destroyer of Worlds”
Ludwig and Hans are unreal
I’ve come to realize that if I had to pick only one piece of music/song ever to listen to for the rest of my life it would be this 😂
@creativecrewfam you listen to "No Time for Caution" from Interstellar? Church organ galore!
The reason as to why it’s many people’s favorite is because it’s very simple and moves upwards the entire time, until the end. Like a consistent inception.
Probably the best score ever made in human history ❤ thanks for the react
Hans Zimmer is the Greatest Music Composer in the World
It's the kind of piece that underscores one's life flashing before one's eyes
Hi! Jane here. The song builds from simplicity to high passion, because the movie is doing the same. And then it resolves. Such brilliance.
Such brilliance indeed!
Your breakdown of the entire composition was literally spot on. Keep going man you have an ear for music.
Much appreciated! Def will keep going ;)

Same 😊
I love this score, it's so simple, but it's amazing how it builds ❤️ Thank you for reacting 🙂
Yesss!! Absolutely breathtaking! Excited for more film scores, thanks for watching! :)
I've been lucky enough to see Zimmer perform this 3 times - the last time was front row in my home town and I got to meet him afterwards. The most starstruck I've ever been
luckyyyyyyyyy!
What a track it was way ahead it's time ⏲️
Very much so!
EVERY TIME I HEAR THIS, JUST CAN CRY... A MASTER PIECE
Sameeeeee!
Simply one of the greatest pieces of music ever written, it's even better in the context of the movie. Zimmer is unmatched as the best film composer of all time, maybe even the best composer full stop.
Might be the best soundtrack song I've ever heard
That's why classical music is kinda neat, love the layers, different instruments coming in and stuff
Yessss! Need to do more on the channel
More like cinematic masterpiece

I can't get enough of this song so beautiful
I'll never forget when I heard this live in Berlin a few months ago🥲
What I would give to listen to this for the first time again

I'll definitely look into that!
The way this swells is unreal
YES!
You should've watched the live in Prague version. Mindblowing
i gotta see and hear that with a live orchestra

It's like the song of the end of the universe
It's not just any guitar! It's Johnny Marr from the Stone Roses playing it
The smiths not the stone roses
great vid, keep going

If u continue doing this and do Ennio Morricone I'd appreciate it..
2:10 know that feeling haha
is this recorded video done with streamyeard? i have an iphone and the quality gets downgraded a bit
I don't think I was using streamyard at this point yet.
Could you react to James Horner's "Caspers Lullaby"? It's right up there with this composition.
Hi Chris, have you heard Ecstasy Of Gold, Il Volo sang it in their concert that was a tribute to Ennio Morricone, the cd was just recently released x It is better known as The Good, The Bad and the Ugly x
I have not!
Owhhh ouhhh yeesss ouhhh

I need to add more film scores! Loveeeeee them so much!
You should check out the cover by 2Cellos. It’s sublime.
Oooo yes!!! Would love to add some orchestral solo stuff!
For what it's worth, you knew precisely how to describe that video. Sublime is a wonderful word.
I listened to this in the car (not watching). Wasn’t sure if I was listening to a music review or Inception porn. 😅
Hahahaha... when it comes to music... it's always safe to say both with me LOL
As much as I love soundtracks it only recently occurred to me to check out reactions of them lol. Reactions by folks who know music are the best. Should Do the Dragon Heart score.
Rightttt! I've always thought about doing reactions to soundtracks and film scores, so I hope to do more when my schedule allows it.
@ If you start doing them. Do two for each. The music itself and then another for how it was used. A great one would be the score in Thin Red Line during the village assault.
My personal favorite is Impossible from Two Steps.
how does it feel with ear pods .. to not even withness 80% of the musik
It’s good right
It's a close second to the oblivion soundtrack
Ooooo, I'll have to check it out! Been wanting more ;)
At each note: uhhhhh
😂
It happens LOL
And just remember… the Social Network won for best score that year. Absolute travesty.
Would love to see your reaction to… Lorne Balfe - Forgotten… from the movie 13 Hours
Try listening to the Ben Walter Remix and Alan Walker Festival Remix
