His scene with Anthony Hopkins and Jeffrey Wright gave me chills. Also when his character was sent into cold storage and although he had no control over his actions, he still had tears in his eyes, that was amazing.
If there is one bad thing about Westworld, it's that this guy hasn't been utilized much since that first episode. Like, that scene, it was the best TV I've seen perhaps ever, and while the show kept being good, it never repeated that awesomeness.
i sware that scene in season one of westworld with robert ford and peter abernathy... Louis's acting absolutely blew me away... he is hands down the most convincing malfunctioning robot i have ever scene i felt so sorry for him going into cold storage with tears running down his face.even though he had to go... inside he really didn't want to.. he just wanted to get to his daughter... fantastic scene and a fantastic actor.
At 5:33 he speaks of "profesionality". To be clear, there is no such word. The word he was looking for was "professionalism". I'm not making fun of him or trolling him. He's obviously articulate and gives a good interview so I am not judging him. We all misspeak or misspell at times. I enjoyed the interview and am grateful he gave it. I just DON'T want to see a misspoken word like this become normalized in our language the way "conversate" has.
Theresa A. Firstly, I never said that was all I got from the interview. In fact, if you reread my comment you will see I thought it was a good interview and I appreciated it. Secondly, I never said I thought I was smart. Perhaps you could try reading things without projecting your bias onto what others have written.
His performance in the pilot episode was one of the standout performances of the entire series for me.
When the focus of a scene is not on Sir Anthony Hopkins but you, you know your acting skills are incredible...one of my favourite scenes ever!

I love this guy. One of the few times that anyone in a scene with Anthony Hopkins and actually outperformed him. I can't wait to see more in season 2.
When I started watching the first episode I wasn't much hooked UNTIL THAT SCENE. One of the best, scariest scenes I've ever seen. Great job.
That scene with him and Ford, holy shit! I said to myself at the time, "This man is one hell of a good actor"!
These violent delights have violent ends.
This is a great interview. What an underrated actor! I'm waiting for him to break out in Hollywood.
He was absolutely outstanding in westworld, I'm so glad they're developing his character more in season 2.
