I've heard that when your plate hits the table that you really should start digging in, because although she doesn't eat fast, often she doesn't finish each plate so she will "be finished" when people may have only taken three bites. She doesn't do it intentionally she is an elderly woman and has had many decades of having to consider hundreds of other people's hunger despite her own and has in the past made those concessions, but now she just wants to eat her dinner and get on to her bed Chambers where she can get out of the uncomfortable clothes. I think she's earned of that. If you're lucky enough to go to Royal dinner, it's not about the food anyway! This is a very good protocol rule anyway, if you think about it, or boiled dinner with a hundred people all finishing a different times or waiting until the last person that spent all of dinner socializing finally finishes, it could take all day. I've seen this happen in simple office engagements, where one person will be so busy gossiping that when the waitress comes around to pick up plates they're shocked that dinner is over and either have to ask for a box to take their food home or seeing all put out of shape because they didn't pay attention to the task at hand which is eating, socializing may be accounted for for a little while after dinner. But when food is put on the table, manners suggests that you should start eating as soon as the guest of honour starts eating. Also by the way, the slow eaters are the ones that usually complain about the food being cold! Because they waited eat it until it cooled off, LOL.

The HRH (His/Her Royal Highness) status is reserved for the children of the monarch, male line grandchildren of the monarch, and all children of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales. The HM (His/Her Majesty) status is reserved for the reigning monarch. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II does not use or have the status "Her Royal Highness".
I've always respected England and it has always had a special place in my heart ever since I was a child. I've wanted to visit and move there. I am an American who was married to a Brit and lived in the UK. Here's the deal with citizenship: She either keeps her American passport or sge renounces it and becomes a British subject. Duel citizenship was NOT an option. Period. I i had had children in the UK, my kids would have been allowed duel citizenship but adults have to choose one or the other. She will renounce her American citizenship. Trust me

To all those saying she's a princess - she isn't. She became a duchess when she married Harry, as that is his official title other than prince, but she cannot become a princess until the Queen confers that title on her. Also, she and Harry may be at the forefront of movements like mental health and racial equality, but when it comes to rules of the royal family and protocols, they have next to no influence. Harry is 6th in line to the throne and his position only moves further away as Kate and William have more children. He will never have enough direct influence to the crown to change their rules.

You're mostly right except saying that they are just an institution and that is all. There have been many times that you can find another places where the queen was instrumental in making societal or even political changes not only in the UK but in other countries. One example that comes quickly to mind is there was a constitutional crisis in Canada a few years back, there was drama in the parliament with people throwing papers, the Prime Minister rushes across the Capitol in motorcade to the viceregal residence where the governor general got on the phone to London and Queen on advice of the privy Council dissolved Canada's government and called for a new election! You can't say that's no influence and "just an institution". I don't think the Canadian people would have done the same thing if it just was an elected ruling body in England, everybody would say why don't we have that body here in Canada to decide if we need a new election? *Because they still have respect of their Queen* that's on all of their coinage and in all of their hearts to have their best interest at heart. There's many other examples of this but that is one of the most cut-and-dried, where she has triggered elections in what are technically foreign countries where she is still the head of state. And that does carry some power.

There is a difference between what your official title/name is and what your rank/occupation is. Get it? Precedence shows that a wife of a Prince is a Princess by rank, again not official title but rank. If the Queen doesn't give Harry a royal dukedom of his own after their wedding, and he remains a prince, Meghan will be known as 'HRH Meghan, Princess Henry of Wales'. (Though it is highly unlikely that the Queen wouldn't gift Harry with a new title after their wedding!) If the Queen presents Harry with a dukedom after the wedding and Meghan becomes a British citizen, Meghan would become 'HRH Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex'. However, if Meghan doesn't entirely renounce her American citizenship (i.e. becomes a dual citizen instead), then, as it stands, she would not be entitled to use the HRH title, nor be styled as the 'Duchess of Sussex' since you have to be a British citizen to be eligible for royal titles. In this case, I think, her legal name would effectively be 'Mrs Meghan Mountbatten-Windsor' on paper - though I've no idea how people would address her in person. (Though it is highly unlikely that Meghan wouldn't become a British citizen and, even if she remained a dual citizen, I can't see the Queen denying Harry's wife the use of his royal title!) It is also important to point out that, at this point, unless the Queen steps in and changes the Letters Patent, Harry and Meghan's children will not automatically hold the 'Prince/Princess' title like Prince William's children do, since this 'honour' is reserved only for the children of the sovereign's sons, and the offspring of the oldest son of the Prince of Wales, i.e. Prince William's children, and that's only because the Queen changed the Letters Patent just before the birth of Prince George. So, Harry and Meghan's children will likely be styled 'Lord/Lady ____ of Sussex', without the HRH, until the day that Prince Charles becomes King. This is because Harry would then be the son of a sovereign, meaning his offspring automatically become styled as 'HRH Prince/Princess ____ of Sussex' - it's all very complicated! Having said all that, with Harry craving a 'normal life', I wouldn't be surprised if he bypasses ALL royal titles for his children, just like Princess Anne did - if the Queen allows this, of course, which is unlikely. (Zara Phillips, for example, has never held a royal title since Princess Anne declined them and after her marriage, Zara is, very simply, addressed as 'Mrs Michael Tindall'.) Also, Meghan will probably have to sign some form of agreement before marriage, stating any children born during their marriage will have to remain in the United Kingdom in the event of a divorce, meaning Meghan will probably never get to live in America again...at least not until her children are grown up! I've heard that when your plate hits the table that you really should start digging in, because although she doesn't eat fast, often she doesn't finish each plate so she will "be finished" when people may have only taken three bites. She doesn't do it intentionally she is an elderly woman and has had many decades of having to consider hundreds of other people's hunger despite her own and has in the past made those concessions, but now she just wants to eat her dinner and get on to her bed Chambers where she can get out of the uncomfortable clothes. I think she's earned of that. If you're lucky enough to go to Royal dinner, it's not about the food anyway!
This is a very good protocol rule anyway, if you think about it, or boiled dinner with a hundred people all finishing a different times or waiting until the last person that spent all of dinner socializing finally finishes, it could take all day. I've seen this happen in simple office engagements, where one person will be so busy gossiping that when the waitress comes around to pick up plates they're shocked that dinner is over and either have to ask for a box to take their food home or seeing all put out of shape because they didn't pay attention to the task at hand which is eating, socializing may be accounted for for a little while after dinner. But when food is put on the table, manners suggests that you should start eating as soon as the guest of honour starts eating. Also by the way, the slow eaters are the ones that usually complain about the food being cold! Because they waited eat it until it cooled off, LOL.

You're mostly right except saying that they are just an institution and that is all. There have been many times that you can find another places where the queen was instrumental in making societal or even political changes not only in the UK but in other countries. One example that comes quickly to mind is there was a constitutional crisis in Canada a few years back, there was drama in the parliament with people throwing papers, the Prime Minister rushes across the Capitol in motorcade to the viceregal residence where the governor general got on the phone to London and Queen on advice of the privy Council dissolved Canada's government and called for a new election! You can't say that's no influence and "just an institution".
I don't think the Canadian people would have done the same thing if it just was an elected ruling body in England, everybody would say why don't we have that body here in Canada to decide if we need a new election? *Because they still have respect of their Queen* that's on all of their coinage and in all of their hearts to have their best interest at heart. There's many other examples of this but that is one of the most cut-and-dried, where she has triggered elections in what are technically foreign countries where she is still the head of state. And that does carry some power.

You forgot about Religion. The Royal familiy belongs to "The Church of England"" founded by Henry the VIII. They are not allowed to practise other religions. She is not part of Church of England believes.
I read somewhere she will be baptised into the Church before wedding.

Let's be honest here, if you really love a guy who is doing self destructive stuff because his mother died when he was young, your role is not to further alienate him from his family most especially a Royal family with duties and responsibilities. Your role would be to strengthen him emotionally in order to achieve beyond his expectations and hence be respected, thus having a stronger sense of self. Mm has failed woefully in her prime duties as a wife, princess and a member of a Royal family.

From what I gather, and it's all very complicated...
If the Queen doesn't give Harry a royal dukedom of his own after their wedding, and he remains a prince, Meghan will be known as 'HRH Meghan, Princess Henry of Wales'. (Though it is highly unlikely that the Queen wouldn't gift Harry with a new title after their wedding!)
If the Queen presents Harry with a dukedom after the wedding and Meghan becomes a British citizen, Meghan would become 'HRH Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex'. However, if Meghan doesn't entirely renounce her American citizenship (i.e. becomes a dual citizen instead), then, as it stands, she would not be entitled to use the HRH title, nor be styled as the 'Duchess of Sussex' since you have to be a British citizen to be eligible for royal titles. In this case, I think, her legal name would effectively be 'Mrs Meghan Mountbatten-Windsor' on paper - though I've no idea how people would address her in person. (Though it is highly unlikely that Meghan wouldn't become a British citizen and, even if she remained a dual citizen, I can't see the Queen denying Harry's wife the use of his royal title!)
It is also important to point out that, at this point, unless the Queen steps in and changes the Letters Patent, Harry and Meghan's children will not automatically hold the 'Prince/Princess' title like Prince William's children do, since this 'honour' is reserved only for the children of the sovereign's sons, and the offspring of the oldest son of the Prince of Wales, i.e. Prince William's children, and that's only because the Queen changed the Letters Patent just before the birth of Prince George. So, Harry and Meghan's children will likely be styled 'Lord/Lady ____ of Sussex', without the HRH, until the day that Prince Charles becomes King. This is because Harry would then be the son of a sovereign, meaning his offspring automatically become styled as 'HRH Prince/Princess ____ of Sussex' - it's all very complicated!
Having said all that, with Harry craving a 'normal life', I wouldn't be surprised if he bypasses ALL royal titles for his children, just like Princess Anne did - if the Queen allows this, of course, which is unlikely. (Zara Phillips, for example, has never held a royal title since Princess Anne declined them and after her marriage, Zara is, very simply, addressed as 'Mrs Michael Tindall'.)
Also, Meghan will probably have to sign some form of agreement before marriage, stating any children born during their marriage will have to remain in the United Kingdom in the event of a divorce, meaning Meghan will probably never get to live in America again...at least not until her children are grown up!

Likewise when she takes the feminine form of her husband's name, she will be HRH, Princess Henry of Wales. But that's only down on paper and if Harry isn't given a peerage of his own, which like I said, is very unlikely.
