CHUBBY THINGS ON LURES - PT2 lure fishing for river chub
Following on from part 1 of this two part series (CHUBBY THINGS ON LURES - PT1 Gear and Technique), we venture down onto my local river to try and catch a chub on a lure.
The first section we investigate a local weir pool, which turns out to be hugely productive. Next we travel down river and target the chub on the stream.
HOW TO CATCH CHUB ON LURES
In this video i will explain how to catch river chub using crankbaits. Then i took an early morning trip down to my local stream to put this into practice.

Where are you fishing… the chub fishing here is great… perch not so much!

@theoccasionalangler6956 I'm living in Crewe now! The River Dane is absolutely dead this year, a couple years ago there was still some chub and trout in there. The River weaver, I go there very often but only catch Pike mainly and the occasional perch. The last place I was catching good Chub from was River Boilin but this year I got told by the National Trust they don't allow anyone to go Fishing in there anymore. Long story short, I'm still to catch 1 chub this year, which is sad tbf, it's a really nice fish!

Thanks, yes I catch the majority of my chub in the city centre. I’ve had several over 6lb on lures!
