Lure fishing for chub on rivers! (Crazy non stop action)
This summer I spent alot of time targeting chub on my local river with lures. I caught several specimen chub over 60cm in length. I found some of the most important factors in catching chub on lures was.
1/ locate the fish - they often favoured overhanging willow trees
2/not to be see - if they saw me it was game over, don't just walk upto the bank and cast. Use cover to conceal yourself
3/ Lure selection - I favoured ultra realistic and small lures. my best performing lures were the diawa prorex micro minnow and the stephanow crankbaits

Hi Max, if you want to get into bfs go to AliExpress and buy a kastking zephyr reel (£37 delivered) and either a kuying Teton/ Ace Hawk CU double / Tsurinoya Proflex 2 or silver needle 2 rod ...... any of these at 6’4” roughly and 1-10g rating roughly (all these rods are under £50 delivered) ....... you can have a perfectly good bfs setup for £70-80

@@theoccasionalangler6956 fair enough. I know of plenty of spots that got ruined by overfishing. It's a hard balance between helping people and ruining spots

What settings do you have your gopro set to and what size and make of single hooks have you swapped out to
I generally film at 24fps 1080 with gopro colour (gopro 8) either way or super wide. The single hooks are gamakatsu plugginsingles or trubacco single lure hooks. For these small crankbaits wide gape size 6 or 8 are good
