- My 2019 Husqvarna FC450 to FS450 conversion is finally done. No more lugging the chunky 701 SM around tight kart tracks.
It has taken months to get to this point, but I'm more than happy with how it has turned out. Did one session at the track a couple of weeks ago just to give it a little shake down and set the suspension up. Now I'm ready and waiting to give it a proper work out.

cleanest husky ever seen
do you know what the difference are from the two motors ? I've seen that the fs has 63 hp and the fc has been dynoyed at like 57 i believe from what I've seen on the 450 mx shootouts ? is it just mapping ? beautiful wheels and set up definitely a proper bike.
Peter Paulino not sure. I know the mapping is different, but I thought the engines were the same. Would need to compare on same dyno with same conditions to be sure, but 63 to 57 doesn’t sound like a huge difference either way.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the traction control maps were also different. But haven’t been able to confirm.
Nice bike how much did the front wheel setup cost ?
Did you have to remove your rear caliper to fit your wheel ? It doesn't look like it would just slide in like the normal dirt tyre does.
Love the look of the slicks on your bike.. I love it ! Where in Australia are you from mate ? I'm on the Gold Coast. I've got everything ready for my 22 FE501 .. SM Pro rims, Haan hubs, Vortex ECU and the same FMF Ti slip on as you.
You don't need to remove the caliper. But it does take some work to get the rim in there. You sort of need to angle it in. Great work on the bike, sounds like you'll have some fun on that. I'm from the West Coast btw.
You didn’t mention any changes to the shock only the forks… the FS450 shock is shortened just like the forks… how did you get around the geometry changes without changing the shock???? I’m currently in the middle of this conversion and this has me stumped.
I retained the FC shock, but I did swap out the spring for my weight. I feel it's pretty well set up for me at the couple of tracks I ride. But sure, you could buy the FS shock as an alternative.
Thats a sweet a$$ bike
How did you connected Solo2 DL to get data? e.g. throttle position, brake etc.
How much was the:
Forks
Triple Clamps
I am interested in doing this. Since the FS is pricy, getting a used FC450 and covering it would be better. You get two bikes for the price of one. Love how clean your bike is!
I got the forks for 1,100 EUR from husky-shop24.de. As I mentioned in the video, that's much cheaper than what I was getting quoted for in the US with a looong wait-time. I can't remember how much the triples were. I think around $400 USD. But I would say they were too much of a pain to track down. Just get a set of aftermarket triple clamps. Offset may be slightly different. But it beats waiting months to get the FS 450 OEM part, and aftermarket may be cheaper too.
ride-by-wire were you in the US when you ordered them?
@@HDSupermoto Yes for the forks. Picked the clamps up during a trip to Australia. Couldn't find them anywhere else.
ride-by-wire I’ll definitely keep this in mind. It would be nice to just switch out the forks and rear tire, going from SM to MX
Can you tell me what kind of kickstand I need the the FC 450 with the supermoto wheels
I have a FastWay kick stand. For my fc450 RSE. When i put super moto wheels on the stand is a little tall. But still works
Do you think sumo wheels from an fc450 would fit an fs450?
If you could do it again would you still do the conversion or just buy the FS450?
Glad I did the conversion to be honest, as I'm still riding this on the dirt when I can. If you only wanted to ride on the road, then definitely just go for the sm. You likely won't save anything trying to convert from an fc.
Hi what is the brand of your fork and rear arm peg ? I search this for my FS 2020
Hey can you please let me know if aim laptimer was plug and play with obd2 interface? Did you have to buy any additional device from aim?
That's right, you need the obd2 interface and then a cable long enough to feed to your timer. Pretty straightforward thankfully.
What different of fc & fs?
Were you able to connect and read the data from the ecu with the Solo2 DL? I checked with AIM (the company that makes the Solo2) about a year ago and the said that they are not able to read KTM ecus
Yeh I was. I ended up using the generic OBDII map on the Solo2. Keep in mind there is no speedo on the bike, but it picks up RPM.
@@ride-by-wire5788 thanks, how about throttle position\opening? gear?
@@assaftennenbaum6751 I can't remember off the top of my head. I'm 90% sure gear position is there though. I'll check next time I can get out on the bike. Likely post-virus.
@@assaftennenbaum6751 Just took another look. No gear position. The OBDII mapping gives me RPM, engine coolant temp, intake temperature and a reading which looks to capture fuel map mode. The rest just comes back as flat or zero values.
@@ride-by-wire5788 thank you
Great bike!Any chance that you can send me a part# of the front wheel spacers?
Thanks,
Sure, the front wheel, left side spacer is 78909012000, and the right side spacer is 78009012000. You'll also need the front brake rotor spacer, which is 58409161000.
Have updated the description with most of the OEM part numbers.
@@ride-by-wire5788 So these are what you used when you changed the triple clamp, right? The reason why i asking because i recently purchased a xtring triple clamp and they said it`ll need a husqvarna 450fs spacers, rotor spacer, and axle..I did purchased these items but the right side spacer doesn`t slide on the axle, they sent me another one as a replace but it is a same...Thank you, for your info..
@@tollipapi Yep, that's right. I switched to all FS 450 OEM pieces, including the FS 450 OEM triple clamp. Sorry to hear you are having trouble matching spacers to your clamps. That's one of the reasons I persisted with trying to find the OEM clamps.
Where is the riding video????
Hopefully getting out there this Saturday. As long as the weather holds up. :)
ride-by-wire where is that you’re going?
@@HDSupermoto Ah sorry. It's a kart track near Houston. SSRP.
ride-by-wire sick man!! I’m interested in this setup. Have an instagram?

This is a FC450 to supermoto?
What is the different of FC to FS??
