- So I'm getting a lot of comments on how I recorded high quality gameplay on Quest. That's because it's not quest gameplay, this is the PC version of Beat Saber and the game is streamed via Virtual Desktop on the headset. So I am technically not playing on Quest, that's why it doesn't look like shit.

yeah casual is a bit off, cause i feel like "casual" would be definitely complete the swing, but yeah this whole video is a over exaggeration so i cant really say much
I did that at first until I realized why my scores were so low and I was getting C grade every time.

You need about a 90 or more but close to there before the swing and I would say atleast half of that or about 45 to a 50 degree angle and the closer to the center the more points added to your total but the 90 to 45 degrees is about minimum for a quick but high point cut.

This was honestly really really funny. And I know I've definitely been all of these at one point in time.
Im probably a partial "moving too much" and "dancing" Beat Saber player. Just feels so much better to have some flexibility and fluid motion, instead of standing in the same spot and actually get into the rhythm of the songs. Makes it much more fun and also add a little but of workout.
Exactly I'm the move too much and expert + only cause it's just more fun, and my taste of music is fast upbeat rock or pop for the most part so if it's too easy or slow, it's boring and if I swing my arms precisely and only as much as I need to... it stops being fun as well. Gotta move my arms around as fast as the song goes

I play Project Diva and Project Sekai and I always think about how much I need that modifier
My brother and I always try to get the highest score and full combo. The pain we feel when we miss one note, especially when it's right near the end

They are not human. The do not move... they only use wrist. They do not eat...they don't work. I've never seen one in the wild besides multiplayer. It makes me look like a scrub playing Expert+ missing 20 notes or so.

When it got to the expert+ I began to think "ok this isnt funny its just gameplay" then they did stuff like the one who ,over to much and realized I had misjudged

I’m definitely a number 4 when I’m having a good day, pumped up and ready to jam out to the music. Otherwise I’m usually just a casual who knows how to play properly and doesn’t miss often.

As someone who never uses wrist straps I'm proud to say I've only thrown a controller once
I am a Dancing Player type, guilty as charged
Getting into the music & flow of the pattern is a strong part of the immersion
I feel like personally Im a mix of the "Dancer" and the "Oh god I have literally no fucking idea what im doing why are these notes so fast help"

That’s kinda ironic because my wrist straps broke on my controllers and I swapped them for the Wii controller straps😂😂😂
I've had random moments where I wanted to use the wrist strap or rly didn't want to use it, but I think in general, if I'm playing with someone, I tend to not use them....idk why

Lots of practice on the song you pretty much know where to slice before they come up
After you play beat saber for a while your wrists start to move on their own without you even thinking, and it just moves in the direction of the arrows.
Which part was that fast?
90% of the time you just gotta look at the first note bc the one after will be the opposite. If you swing up on the first then you prob will swing down on the second. If there's a lot of them in a row then you just flap ur hands quick enough up/down or left/right :p

Exactly! I have actually lost 4 lbs in two weeks due to beat saber! I play about 2 hours a day, on and off. And I dance like crazy! Sometimes I challenge myself and go into Campaign, but other days I just wanna play what I'm familiar with and have fun!

I’ve found that songs look 10x harder outside of the VR than when you’re actually doing them. I watch some of my old replays and I wonder how I got some of the FCs I have today lol

Real G's play with only arms. You wanna get that real training in, gotta swing like they're really swords. Swing with force. That's a workout and you'll get superspeed reflexes.

@@christopherbownes494 but you're faster with less travel time, which in some cases directly means less travel distance. Not all swords are created equal either, you can't *swing* a sword without wrists, they are essential.
I'd bet I can fence better using just my wrist (using rest of my body, shoulder and elbow locked in place), than with my wrist stiffened.

Nobody ever looks cool playing, but you do feel cooler the more you get into it.
the moving too much and dancing ones touched me personally, but I don't dance like that, I dance with my head and hands only because I play online and I want the other people I'm playing with to see it! Plus I don't think anyone on earth is confident enough in their balance to lean back on one foot like he did in a real game, for fear of either messing up or killing themself by accident lol
As a combination of dancing and casual all I can say is ‘YES.’
You forgot my personal favorite type of player. The "one handed only player". You know there's always that one guy that only wants to play the game one handed for no other reason than he can. (I've tried playing one handed and it's hard, but I do think it makes the game feel more realistic cause normally if you use a sword in real life you only use one sword, but hey that's just my opinion.)
I played it before, i have this instinct to put the non-saber hand behind my back. I have no clue why, but it makes me feel like a badass.

I just got my first VR headset yesterday, which came with Beat Saber as a promo, and played as a combination of "2," "4," and "9" 🤣
I skipped the "New Player" phase, because I'd seen the game for years now, and basically grew up with all the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, so the game for the most part came naturally to me.
