The Ferry

As a Manx man born on the Isle of Man, my home is nestled along the promenade, offering a breathtaking vista of the bay. From my vantage point, I watch as sailing ships navigate the choppy seas, propelled by the forceful winds that define our coastal landscape. During the balmy summer evenings, I cherish leisurely strolls along the promenade, basking in the warm glow of the streetlights that cast their luminance upon the golden sands of Douglas Bay.
Yet amidst this serene scenery, a constant longing resides within me-the yearning to return to my beloved Isle. The memory of its beauty lingers in my mind, a persistent beacon calling me back to its shores.
