Used these to hang a couple of column rads in my extension end of last year. Worked a treat! Also keeping my kitchen cabinets on the wall and the hook I hang my mankini on.
@Kern Jung What difference does that make, the plaster will still pull in also. Definately some draw in of the board, however given the problem with fixing through dot/dab this is still one of the best fixings I have seen.
Excellent work as usual - you just solved a problem for me in my new extension where i have battened plater board and need to hang kitchen cabinets - nice one mate. Hold Tight and see you next Thursday for the ale army.
Awesome video. Cheers! Quick question - I used these Corefix plugs throughout my last house with dot and dab over block walls. My current house, the interior walls are aircrete blocks. I’ve used the Corefix plugs to attach some light shelves and they seem fine but is that wise? How do Corefix (red) plugs handle aircrete blocks? Cheers!
This might sound stupid but as someone who is inexperienced. Would 100mm not be too big to use in a terraced house without it drilling straight through into next door?
Nice explanation vid Jimbo! Love that Bosch. These screws are great bits of kit. Used them to hang TVs on the wall and no issues. The only small improvement I'd like to see is a pan-head screw version instead of the countersunk variety. Only a small thing, but I think pan heads are slightly better if you are using something with washers. Debrief on Thursday with the #alearmy 🍺😀🍹
Cheers for this video Jimmy, really showing the worth of Corefix. I'm loving the Ale Army on a Thursday night. I look forward to it and it is a great excuse for a couple of "well earned" beers.
I need to put extactor hood and extra cuoboards in my kitchen but its dot and dab against a bedroom wall literally only has a couple of those mesh baton things, not sure what to do
Can't see the issue with fixing things to concrete blocks using concrete screws. If you hit a soft mortar line then possibly, but generally they are great.
AT last, something that works, and while I am on with you can I ask why the tall modern rads just like the one,s showed here Why do they take so long to get hot, we have ten rads with a new boiler and new modern pump fitted, just two years ago, all the old rads are piping hot in twenty minutes, but theses twp modern tall ones tank the best part of an hour. It seems to be the hot water dashes across the flow and returns and continues,s to the rest of the system, instead of actually going all around the rad first, any tips, please, Yes anyone,.
What do you do if your inner brick leaf is made of Swiss cheese? I put up a vertical radiator and ended up filling one screw hole with plugs because they just wouldn't grab and kept disappearing inside the wall. My rad is held up with 7 screws instead of 8 as a result. I want to potentially put a TV up on the wall, but I don't even know if I can trust it to hold.
Used these on a 1600 X 600 towel rad 👍🏻 Better than what the builder did; only used the 2 top brackets, then just painted around bottom ones (no screws, just paint!!!)
Would anyone have any idea how I would attach an m22 pressure washer hose to a garden tap? I was looking for a screw connection. I cannot find any adapter to do the job.
I know these aren't meant to be removed however for those people who rent who have to remove anything wall hung before moving, would've been nice to see you remove them to see how easy they are to remove Other than that, I expected that rad to fall when you hung on it! My jaw was literally dropped! Great vid!
I assume u remove them the same way u remove any raw plug, put the screw in jist enough to bite but not enough to expand the plug and then use the back of a hammer against a small bit of wood (to protect the wall) to pull it out.
Recently had a building done. they used 65mm insulation plaster board D&D walls, verdict a real pain in the arse to attach anything to the walls. biggest regret I should have said plaster the walls the old fashion tried and tested method. ie no D&D.
I just mark the plasterboard where the brackets are gonna go and chop out the board in those 4 or 6 small areas. Then fill it with hardwall or plasterboard adhesive flush with the wall surface. Next day.... away you go. Cheaper.
Ok if you have a decent masonry behind like in your video. Checking corefix loads in aerated pb2 and 4 blocks you would not be able to hang that rad with two fixings ( these types of blocks are in most new builds in the uk). You can also drill into pipes and cables behind that are chopped into the walls . If the walls have Batons or Dot a Dab, then you can use Bullfix Universal Plasterboard Fixings or Bullfix Extra Plasterboard Fixings. One fixing can hold a mans weight in 12.5mm Plasterboard ruclips.net/video/I79Y0YJNKRM/видео.html
#alearmy come on guys become a Patreon give James your support. Has he ever helped you out in his videos? 3 quid a month that’s all. And #alearmy is a proper fucking laugh as well.
The saying is: 'The proof of the pudding is in the eating' and not 'the proof is in the pudding'. Doesn't take a lot to get it right. Otherwise, great video...

Plumberparts is my newspaper when I'm having a poo so when my legs go to sleep I don't notice good vid as per
What happens with 50 mm insulation board?
Used these to hang a couple of column rads in my extension end of last year. Worked a treat! Also keeping my kitchen cabinets on the wall and the hook I hang my mankini on.
at 5:06 you say "We've got no pull down at all" whilst clearly showing that the plasterboard is slightly bowed downwards?
That's what I thought "no pulldown at all" - board nearly snaps in half.
@Kern Jung What difference does that make, the plaster will still pull in also. Definately some draw in of the board, however given the problem with fixing through dot/dab this is still one of the best fixings I have seen.
I laughed out loud when he said that. I was hoping he'd put a straight edge on to show us 🤣
Love the video matey! Told you before... never loose you're sense of humour pal. Take care 👍😜
Corefix fixings are the nuts. Used them for a year or so now and they are top class
Great video! Loving the drill! Which one is it?
a plumbers dream finding brick behind plasterboard when hanging these, not just a stud wall haha
Excellent work as usual - you just solved a problem for me in my new extension where i have battened plater board and need to hang kitchen cabinets - nice one mate. Hold Tight and see you next Thursday for the ale army.

Thanks James. I normally use frame anchors which are similar to these fixings although these have the spacers, these are a whole lot better.
What’s the attachment that you added to your impact driver to turn it into an SDS please?
This might sound stupid but as someone who is inexperienced. Would 100mm not be too big to use in a terraced house without it drilling straight through into next door?
12 mm porcelain tile on top of the dot n dab James?

Hi james Is it possible run a washer discharge pipe in to a basin waste
I had trouble fixing a gun cabinet to aerated concrete blocks . But de Walt do nylon inserts just fir that . Gasbeton they are called
I use rigifix they are brilliant 55 inch tv on a cantilever bracket on dot dab wall No prob
Cheers for this video Jimmy, really showing the worth of Corefix. I'm loving the Ale Army on a Thursday night. I look forward to it and it is a great excuse for a couple of "well earned" beers.
First time I've seen someone making love to a radiator!😂
Will these be OK to hang my 65"to a dot and dab wall?
Been using these fixings for a while now they are really good
Who on earth made that floppy table??
About time they have brought out better fixings for this task, just wish it was me who had thought of it! Lol 👍🏻
Is there a smaller version of the same thing being that I will be hanging a similar radiator on my party wall that is only single brick width?
Bally useful product indeed old boy, splendid bit of advice indeed. That goes right in my basket.
Informative vid pal.. but whats that 2 in 1 drill your using?
Why do they not teach stuff like this in school? I was fine doing English Lit but my god this would have been MUCH more useful
It's all health and safety they don't learn any skills In school
Corefix fixings are a must for dot n dab 💯
Thanks chap, helping me prepare for a new job as well as lifting my spirits top man
I need to put extactor hood and extra cuoboards in my kitchen but its dot and dab against a bedroom wall literally only has a couple of those mesh baton things, not sure what to do
Gripit fixings are brilliant
These are brilliant. Got them to mount my TV
Self-tapping concrete screws and washers. About 10p and 5p each.
That’s the cowboy way

I've noticed that you have to be carefull over tightening the screws they can spin inside the plug easily. But they still are good for the job!
Used these on a 1600 X 600 towel rad 👍🏻
Better than what the builder did; only used the 2 top brackets, then just painted around bottom ones (no screws, just paint!!!)
I don't know what to say so hello and good video
Cut small bits of half inch copper the same depth as the gap and use washers with them.
6:57 Hope you used silicon grease to eliminate the risk of chafing!
That drill is 🔥
Your landlord will be happy with you!
Would anyone have any idea how I would attach an m22 pressure washer hose to a garden tap? I was looking for a screw connection. I cannot find any adapter to do the job.
Dry Line Pro fixings also do the same job.
I know these aren't meant to be removed however for those people who rent who have to remove anything wall hung before moving, would've been nice to see you remove them to see how easy they are to remove

Is James anyone elses man crush?? The way he hung that radiator!! Forget you Tom Hardy!!
No but the wife thinks he’s cute .
10:17 water the flowers or water the fence 😂
I just mark the plasterboard where the brackets are gonna go and chop out the board in those 4 or 6 small areas. Then fill it with hardwall or plasterboard adhesive flush with the wall surface. Next day.... away you go. Cheaper.
Sidenote - I just watched a 2012 video of yours and how have you not aged in 8 years?!
Should have checked for what might be behind the plasterboard before drilling right through it.
I use these for all my radiators
The proof is in the pudding and the pudding can be found under that t shirt 😂 #lockdown-love-handles
Nice one gixer
ouch! haha
Mate you have that " I just came back from ibiza and had loads of alcohol & sex" look
Should have used drywall adhesive mate,
Use drywall adhesive next time nor skim 😂💪🏻 good video though dude
Neat .. in my place I have a wall with 100mm gap.. how on earth do I fix my 100 ton radiator to that eeek

Love your videos but this ones like watching one big long advert
#alearmy come on guys become a Patreon give James your support. Has he ever helped you out in his videos? 3 quid a month that’s all. And #alearmy is a proper fucking laugh as well.
