you can charge whit Plate Retune juts done have them charge across a whole field but you can easily have them charge the last bit so that they get a charge bonus just don't wait to long because the charge distance is some measure of unit.
I find them next to useless. They have zero stamina to begin with and never recover it. By the time you can effectively use them in battle, the battle is over.
It is best to for the Retinue to wear medium-type armor to decrease the consumption of stamina while the full plate armor is heavy armor that can consume stamina fast. I was thinking of a good optimized army within in my view are Militia Archers(skirmishers and ranged support), Militia Spearmen(the durable bedrock of the army and high survivability to return back to work with least amount of casualties, and Pole-armed Retinues in medium armor(temporary frontline and flanking damage dealers while their medium absorbs damage and less stamina consumption).
i use them to clear out bandit camps, if you have them walk everywhere and have them wait for a little before the battle starts stamina is never a issues
@@PhilbertDeZwart from what i have seen in my play thoughts, the more fights/battles they are in the more of a bonus to the effectiveness they get, the get +experience buff
False it isn’t even in the slightest people can go full sprint without issue 95 pounds USA marines full sprint with 120 pounds on there back and not spread out across is.
@@unifiedhorizons2663fighting like this isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. Just because you can sprint for a little while dosent mean you won’t get tired after being in combat for 2-3 hours or more
How can you get your retinue back after they’ve died? I got my village wiped and now I’ve built back bigger than ever but I don’t have any retinue troops, do I need to demolish my manor and rebuild it?
“A polearm or a sword and shield”
Immediately shows a guy with a warhammer & shield

Yea sword and Bord didnt exist
Seems like we need make them do cardio

@@th3_k1dit also gives them experience stat points. I am not sure how big the effect of that is but it sounds important
@@PhilbertDeZwartmaybe there would be stats in the future? Just like in Total War, which when your army gained experiences, their stats increases

No Problem, never let them run except 10 m maximum and give them time before you go in battle
So they never get better at wearing plate armor?
The retinue you hire were previously soldiers or guards, and are most likely already at peak performance.
Plate is still heavy
@vikingsundlof9040 That is why you train at like a soldier is supposed to.

Should be able to recruit them with money you have in your treasury I think
Is this game PVP? Also if this game is a continuous build your city into an actual kingdom I would be down
So, no cavalry?
Yea what gives??
Not yet (keep in mind that the game is only made by ONE guy)
He started alone sure but there is a whole team now @@user-jd1vs9tc6z
