And also the reasons behind people having limited knowledge about things or place is mainly because of far geographical area, limited exchange of trade in between them, no political conflict or any clutches happened etc, so in any case we truly tends to hate or love something only after closely knowing it. American accent is pretty much easier cause it's spoken by all people speaking different languages, it's like lingua franca whereas British English is spoken by English people. they said UK accent is easily understandable but it's not, the one thing is their accent lil bit sound nicer. American English is spoken everywhere, the north American accent.
@jason jackie Indians don't believe in conversion due to majority of Hindu here. We don't like converting ourselves or others. We believe in coexistence, world is our home & Live and let others live.
That accent part was funny, because even we Americans think the British accent is better 😂 There's this hilarious phenomenon in the U.S. where whenever we hear someone speaking in a British accent we automatically respect them and take what they're saying more seriously, haha
Hmm I kind of disagree with the reasoning behind that statement. Whenever we use actors/actresses with accents, they tend to have stoic or serious personalities. I feel that media tends to precondition the response that people with British accents will lean towards sexy or dangerous. I can't think of any American movies off the top of my head of a comedic character with a British accent. Personally, I prefer the Australian accent.

Not everyone is a racist thankfully, and all those who agreed to talk spoke fluent English so there were well-educated Indians - so they weren't a part of the racist ones.
@jisooboobear Education makes one's temperament more scientific. It's not necessarily a good thing, but smaller community mindsets like racism are lowered. Also, please don't bring George Floyd out of nowhere into the discussion, I am an Indian and so are they and our mother tongue isn't English, it takes years of education to become fluent in it.
@jisooboobear Why don't you look at the issue (of racism/ostracism) just the way it is, by itself - without pulling examples of specific people to prove the general truth? I said that being educated enough (in science/humanities/commerce) to speak English fluently means they are at least a high school graduate (or are home schooled to that level). That much modern education makes one's temperament scientific, it detaches one from their own culture and produces people with strangely 'secular' ideas as well. I am neither for, nor against anything, I simply made a statement, that meant that well-educated people are slightly detached from their culture bias (as well as culture values, so again, good and bad).
India is such a friendly and beautiful country! I am Cuban-American with Taino ancestry and really want to learn more about it. Sadly they are very right about the U.S. being very racist where we have a lot of tribalism as well here :/ .
If you ask me racism is a universal phenomenon, it is not just confined to the U.S alone, the degree and magnitude may vary from country to country but it is present in every country.
Completely incorrect. The USA is incredibly vigilant in it's attitude against racism. Media figures have lost their entire careers purely based on the accusation of it. You are ignorant beyond belief. If it were as racist as you say, why do so many Indians and Cubans keep flocking here?
Irony that indian people are complaining about U.S people being racist when they themselves are so racist towards dark skinned colour people and north-eastern people 🙄
Tbh it's just not north india. I have seen so many people being racist towards our northeast sisters in banglore especially. So we can't actually blame one part of country. It's like every part has some specific brain issue with the other part of country fellows

They say that Americans act like they are better than others, (which they kinda do tbh) but then the people that were interviewed weren’t exactly the humble type. Like those 2 ladies at the end saying that Indians made the US a superpower. All the races that make up the US made America what it is today, so for someone from a foreign country to claim that their race is so great and then call out other races for acting the same way is incredibly condescending. (FYI this is just my opinion)

it's really not true, because you're making these broad generalizations about "people in america". America is a large, diverse country (like India, but even more diverse in some ways) and people have different cultures, opinions, life experiences, etc. There are parts of the US where even the hint of racism will make you into pariah (moreso the liberal, urban cosmoposlitan areas and liberal college campuses) and other parts where there is a lot of quiet racism, especially amongst older people (more so conservative, more homogenious rural areas, although it's more complicated then that)
the last part from two girls was supposed to be joke. they just meant india deserve some credit for providing affordable man and brainpower to american tech industries.
As an American, it's heart-rending to hear how negatively people all over the world view us. Of course not all of us are as racist and prideful as people may think, but we cannot really blame them for their views. The image we are projecting to the world is that of "America first" and, sadly, intolerance. This really shows us how much our political choices influence the overall image and feeling towards America. And man, how far we've fallen... It's something of a mission during my travels to show people of the world that there are Americans who are curious and tolerant of all the different walks of life. Though it is only a small step towards giving others a more positive impression of Americans, it is at least a step. I hope that someday when I have the chance to visit India, people will be willing to get to know me, despite that I am American. And I hope my country will become more accepting of the growing global community that the world is becoming.
As an Indian , I am not satisfied how people think in this country. In my experience people all over the world are racist to similar degrees if not higher. I'm quite sure most Indians are not well travelled which explains why they have little knowledge about accents. To say that British accent is more understandable is quite an understatement since I find the London accent easier to understand than a Newcastle one and its the same for the US based on their regions. For the beautiful ladies in the end, has Indian immigration boosted the American economy ? possibly and guess what so have immigration from hundreds of other asian and European countries. Atleast being openly racist in America is quite a shameful bearing whereas in India people are openly racist towards the different minorities within the country and its still quite acceptable in most places.
The mongoloid looking people are so beautiful. Don't know whether they are from the North-East or Northern Himalayas or Tibet but it is just awesome to see them as a lot of videos about India don't include that populace of the nation. P.S. I don't know whether I am being racist or anything. If it comes off as racist I am deeply apologetic.

@Shailesh Teli there may be some naive people who might be hating on them, but from where I belong we don't but instead we admire them for their superior genes which makes them physically fitter over other race... And also the reasons behind people having limited knowledge about things or place is mainly because of far geographical area, limited exchange of trade in between them, no political conflict or any clutches happened etc, so in any case we truly tends to hate or love something only after closely knowing it. Yeah ABSOLUTELY true
Are you mad

Indians sound better speaking in hindi. I don't understand why he should be ashamed.
I'm American and I can kind of agree with what they're saying. There's a lot of mean people in America (and anywhere for that matter) but there's still a lot of really nice people too.
Mean people are every where. Racist's are every where.
I prefer American, as i understand it better than British, as i watch more American shows.
Mean people are everywhere not just American.
I have dealt with 2 -3 mean, selfish and din wit American, 2 British people who had huge white supremacy and colonial mindset, really proud of their colonial history, I was like wtf is wrong with them, and a Scottish who only believes in what he knows and not ready to consider facts which are contradicting his facts., don't know how many such people I will deal with in future, such people really amazes me, wth?? So yeah,, mean people are there in every corner of the world

good to be forward and also learn history. No one is perfect. Google "China’s bases surrounding INDIA" they are called the String of Pearls. USA wants trade and tries to promote freedoms for all. But we can not do everything. Where would you be if USA did not stay in Asia after WWII. In less than 20 years after WWI German and Japan tried to take over the whole world. China and Russia aid troops to try to take South Korea in less than 5 years after WWII. What would have happened in the EU if the USA left Europe after WWII. many hard choices. Learn history. As an American, I like the British accent more than any of our regional accents too. Also love to hear from the younger people of India, they are current, curious and culturally mature.
I would say the US influenced a lot of modern India, but India still has a really strong cultural history. Also great people out there and here too 🇺🇸❤️🇮🇳
Is that supposed to be a good thing? England has a much better perspective of India than the US ever could have. They don't just pay attention to negative stereotypes such as "lol, scammer". English stereotypes of India are mainly corner shop related.

it's really not true, because you're making these broad generalizations about "people in america".

I agree.
Agreed, it is disheartening to hear what the world thinks of us, from some people
