They have all the power and resources and do not want çhange. They fight like hell and speak out of both sides of their mouth. First they tell us about transparency, then In the same breath say they can't comment on an investigation. It's all a facade of power and corruption.

Our country is low on civil rights attorneys and it shows because the ones we've entrusted with our hard earned taxes now act like we work for them instead of their being public servant staff with an important obligation for people's lives, liberties, and freedoms.

There are a good number of civil rights attorneys and Mr. Crump has helped many of us on our cases. I happen to be one of the civil rights attorney Mr. Crump has helped. Most civil rights attorneys are not as known as Mr. Crump and few of us are on television as much, but we are still fighting in the trenches regardless if the public ever learns of our work.

I can’t tell how many of my friends went to prison an always told me they were safer in prison then the county… the guards beating the hell out of the prisoners😢

When I was in the Harris county jail around 27 years ago I had seen sheriff deputies punch a white guy dead in the chest just for smiling when we were standing in a straight line. Dude could barely breath as he fell to the ground and they gave him 10 seconds to get back up in line or else he’d get more. They huge deputies and very intimidating. They also mocked a transgender prostitute as they made fun of him when they made him strip for a search. All this while we were being processed in. Worst weekend in my life being in there all for driving with a suspended license at 19. Never again I take my license for granted.
I'm sorry you had to witness such horror. That culture must be changed.

Mind-up! County prisoners are people too, and have civil, constitutional and human rights! We stood up for prisoner rights and justice at the Erie County Holding Center in Buffalo, N.Y. We took a symbolic casket to protest right in front of the jail. It made the news, as I still have the photos.
