Texas needs to work on the entire correctional system. There should also be no for-profit prisons for any reason.

I was in Harris County Jail from 2020-2021. I saw one guy beat to death. As well as the worst torture I've ever seen to a living being while guards stood by and watched & laughed.

Been there as an inmate, very dangerous, police supervise from the outside, inmates are in danger
Inmates running the asylum! And we spend more to incarcerate than most countries
I left in 2019 for these very reasons!!!

Been there as an inmate I. Solitary confinement! No food no bottle water ! Feces on the water faucet ! No choice but to suffer in here ! No food for more than 24 hours
My son has been there since March 2022 and they still show him with "0 charges" when I look for him on Harris County inmate search. The only way I knew he was there was phone calls from him.
Damn, that's maddening! I can't imagine that being me... I'd literally be on pins, and needles.. when they say it needs to stop from the top down to the bottom that's 100 something definitely needs to be done something has got to change. However when you think about this is a day-one situation and how they have plotted and planned on this for people of color for Generations, it's going to be much harder than we would like to believe. Racism goes and Stems very far back and the same people.

The officers tell the gang members what to allow of other inmates so I can believe they run the zoo smh that I heard of from my son that been their over 10 yrs

This prison system was predominantly built for people of color. And it goes back generations and generations plot plan. It makes all the logical sense in the world what he said about his going to have to go from the top to the bottom and cleansing. However I believe this is far more easier said than done. This racism is rooted in embedded in the prison system and the people behind the private prisons systems especially and especially in Louisiana they use people they're like slaves to do work for $0.01 an hour and BS** like that. I don't think this is going to be solved anytime soon unless there is light continue to be shed on this barbaric situation no one should be going to jail losing your life just like no one should lose their life in a simple traffic stop was especially unarmed. However look how long this has took to even get looked into you go back to Rodney King beating to Sandra Bland all these things are things that it shouldn't have never transpired however they continue. With no end looks like in the foreseeable near future. Damn shame😢💔
