When the "baby boy" attacked the officer, i was shocked at how far a neck can bend without breaking. No idea how the officer survived the brutal attack to which he had to defend himself eventually by shooting Cure.

The suspect got out of the vehicle belligerent and aggressive. He would have broke that officers neck if he could have. The officer tried and exhausted several non-lethal tactics but the level of violence escalation by the suspect left the officer with no other option than defending his life.

I have very strong feelings about this case. He was falsely accussed and convicted for an armed robbery at a convenience store.
Due to Leonard’s previous violent felonies for similar crimes (armed robbery) on his resume that come
time for sentencing, he was given life.
After the absolute gut punch that was a false conviction, leonard struggled to find his footing. Almost certainly because of the stolen 16 years, mental health issues and ptsd clouded his judgment and it is obvious from his actions last week, that leonard
had been almost certainly institutionalized.
The settlement he was given of just over $800,000 was another injustice he suffered. They took 16 years from him. Now, there is no crystal ball to confer with, but it is my belief that cure likely would have continued his criminal lifestyle had he been acquitted of the 2003 robbery, and would likely still be in prison or possibly dead.
With that said, I need to discuss this incident in detail. First, leonard passed a cop at 90 mph and then sped up to over 100 mph as the officer was attempting to stop him. The cop came in a little hot and should have been a more calming voice of reason. I will back the officer in his use of what sounds like screaming to us, it is because of the high decibels of passing motorists-so officers often feel the need to be loud. The officer absolutely had the right to order leonard out of the vehicle(look up PA vs Mimms to understand how officers can order the driver or any passengers out of the vehicle, and initially, cure seemed cooperative or semi-cooperative , but basically scoffed that he was even pulled over for his high rate of speed and reckless driving-which is an arrestable crime when combined with another factor, which in this case was the speed at which he was driving. He tells leonard he is being arrested and the fight is on, and make no mistake, this was a life and death struggle for both officer and leonard because of the close proximity to a busy freeway
Shoot was 100% justified and ben crump is here claiming leonard was shot for no other reason that his skin color. Or maybe, just maybe, cure was shot because he was tased twice and they man shrugs them off like nothing and then starts choking the officer who then pulls out a baton and strikes him while leonard says “yeah, b1tch.” Losing the fight against a stronger and bigger opponent next to a very busy freeway is simply too much to risk after other use of force options have failed, leaving only deadly force.
But crump is doing what he does, claiming Leonard wouldn’t have been shot if he was white and the police operate in a bigoted jim crow racist justice system. And he stirs all this anger, resentment, racial devise, inflicting mortal wounds to the citizen/police relationship-all so he can bank another 100 Millikan dollars. He is the worst kind of ambulance chaser-the dreaded hearse chaserb(so long as the “victim” has the correct melanin ratio and was a criminal fighting or trying flee from police.

The guy was a complete piece of garbage and tried to break the neck of the police officer. In spite of all this the police officer first tried the taser then tried his baton and then only as a last resort pulled his service pistol and did us all a favor.

The first George Floyd video was edited to make the police look as bad as possible, mostly by deleting the parts where he was fighting them. But even though the entire video came out later people were still so emotionally invested in they're first impression the truth didn't matter.

You don't get out of vehicle for speeding. No he wasn't fleeing nor was he reckless driving. He was just speeding. That doesn't warrant a tazer to be pulled on you and a screaming cop.. It calls for give me your license and insurance. It calls for where the heck are you going in such a hurry.. period.. I've done 100 mph a few times. Very little traffic and you get caught up in your thoughts and just don't realize how fast you're going. Or you're just following the flow of traffic. It doesn't warrant a tazer.
