St. Louis, Missouri is a major city. It's on the west side of the Mississippi River, in Missouri. This is the North side of St. Louis, MO. East St. Louis is across the river in Illinois. There's a bunch of smaller towns surrounding ESTL on that side of the river. It's known as "Metro East" locally. Same thing that happened to Detroit happened here. It used to be a major industrial city, then a lot of places closed down. Jobs dried up, and people that could leave either left for the suburbs or to somewhere else entirely (white flight and black flight). Couple that with poor management, lack of funding, and the drug epidemics (Heroin, Crack, gangs)... And here we are.

They have super small front yards, usually with a slope and stairs. The road is flat. Back yards might be as small as the front yards. And who would know you were having a hang out and all were invited if you were in the back? Gotta be in the front- come along and join in! The question is : why did he "have" to drive thru the party? He could have backed up because that looked like a block party that he crashed. And block parties happen on the South side of STL. We park our cars across the streets ( someone might get a permit for closing the street, I guess) and do the same as this group. Eat, drink and be merry.
