- Sandhya Raju presents an excerpt from her late guru's master piece choreography - 'Govardhana Giridhara' a traditional Kuchipudi tharangam.
In this small Sanchari, Sandhya plays the roles of both Radha and Lord Krishna and takes her audience back to a beautiful day on the banks of the yamuna in Brindavan forest. An chapter in the beautiful love story of Lord Krishna and Radha.
Don't know whether u r seeing lord Krishna while dancing.....But we are able to see Gopika's and lord Krishna along with u in ur dance....

In the history of Kuchipudi, there probably wasn't another artiste who could take off the earrings, nose ring, necklace and bangles with such playful grace and incomparable beauty. ( such a beautiful little final unhooking movement for the necklace) And...then.. later, put it back on with such loving haughtiness and heart melting love. Almost certain, our dearest Lord Krishna is watching this video too , repeatedly... revisiting, in great amusement, his own "Cheshtalu" with a wide, unstoppable grin.
Lady Sandhya, thou art the goddess of grace. May you shine forever in the hearts of ardent art lovers. I enjoyed it 100x more when I dropped the playback speed of the video to 0.75x. :)
