Would it be the same with a 2013 Honda Civic? Also, I need your advice. I cosigned for her To get this car last June 2023 so she has it on a lien with a separate loan agency (Not with the dealership). She sideswiped a mailbox on accident. She needs/wants to refinance it to put it in her name. Would it be bad to tell the dealership this happened or would it be best for her to not let them know and have her fix it herself? And since she wants to refinance it, would the damaged mirror affect her refinance? The mirror itself is still in tact. However, the casing or whatever you call it (the body of the mirror) was hanging off but not detached from the car. So she’s had it held together with duct tape since it happened atleast 6 months ago. Thanks in advance. I look forward to your reply.
Is this the same for a 2013 Honda Civic Coupe? I realized your door panel replacement for the Coupe is a bit different than the sedan. Would replacing the side mirror be different?
Great video! Would you happen to know if the mirror can be tightened slightly at the swivel part, not the 3 bolts that connect to the body? Mine is a little bit wiggly so any info would be greatly appreciated thanks!
I have not taken delivery of a 2013 Honda Civic SI so I just have two quick questions if you don’t mind. One what are the wires that you are You’re unplugging. Two is it possible to take the camera mirror off a 2014 and put it on a 2013.
hey, has the passanger side mirrow with the camera and the one without it, have the same case??. I mean if the base that hold the mirrow with the door its the same??
So my daughter (16 years old) broke her mirror off backing out of the driveway. The plastic clip under the mirror housing unit broke 3 tabs. Can I just order one of those pieces and replace it after taking it all apart, or do I have to order a whole new mirror?
The man is not kidding about catching those nuts! They will slide under the curve of the door and it will add an hour to your project. I used two plastic trim removal tools to extract them: put one at an angle and used the other to push the nut up the "ramp". Two straws or a magnet might work as well, but it's a pain. Doh!
I asked the dealership and they said the whole thing in parts would cost me about $600 + 1-2 hrs of labor. So dealer is around $700-750. If you can find used mirrors then charge 300-500 maybe
Awesome video! Perfect step by step instruction. Made my job a ton easier. Thanks for your time!
Thank you for the mirror install and how to remove the door panel. Saved me hundreds deom the dealership! Thanks!
Thanks for the info and the awesome video! I managed to install a new mirror on my civic this evening using your instructions.
