When I was a child of around 10 or 11, I lived in Valdosta. I had a little friend across the street who was 5 years old named Andy Corbett who was killed in a bad vehicle accident, I believe on April 13th, with both parents who survived. This impacted me so deeply as a child as he was my playmate and friend. His mother,Darlene Corbett, was a friend of my mom’s and in her early 20’s. This was in the very early eighties (‘81-‘84). I know it’s a long shot, but if you know Darlene, his father, or any of the family I’d like them to know that he’s always remembered and still loved. I also wish I knew where he was buried. - Mandi
I would love y'all to do a history of Remerton where my family is from. My family is the Murray and Brantley families. My grandpappy was a barber in Remerton in the early 1900's. My Grammaw and the family worked in the Strickland mill
They forgot to mention the lynching frenzy of 1918.
Exactly!!
Interesting
