It was a fair video, ya could of shown more of the highlighted stuff in the city, such as Colonial Mall, Valdosta State University, Wild Adventures Theme Park, maybe even Moody A.F.B. Ya you missed the hood, where you said hood, that was getting over in the historic district, River St. Would of shown you victorian era houses, or even down by the University, that has a nice sized campus. Just a better note to self, edit out waiting at the red lights... 👍

Because Corporate America is greedy and evil, so they build the same businesses everywhere and destroy the locally owned stores. Every city has a Walmart, McDonald’s, Target, Dollar General, etc. etc. and they build shopping plazas the same way. In the 1990’s American cities were very unique and had their own style.

My house, which was in one of those nice and historic parts of the city, currently has a tree through it and is now uninhabitable. I live in one of the historic neighborhoods near the hospital. There’s also downtown and the Fairview historic district, VSU, the neighborhoods around North Valdosta Road, and plenty of beautiful things in the surrounding area. Horse Creek Winery, Grand Bay wildlife preserve, the Crescent House, Little Creek Farm, plenty of parks, Reid Bingham isn’t far, we are close enough to Florida and Georgia coastal beaches to make a day trip without having to pay for the real estate and also close enough to Atlanta, Tallahassee and Jacksonville for a weekend visit without having to deal with rent or the traffic. It’s a complete shame that my city was destroyed last week. A lot of people would look at Florida and call it a shit hole, but you know just as well as I do that it’s completely different from a local’s perspective. I lived in the Tampa area for 3 years and ended up liking it even though I judged it at first. Valdosta is home for 150,000 people. It might not be for you, but that doesn’t make it a dump interstate exit. You intentionally sought out the bad side for clickbait.
