No, the backlights will be a part of the panel. In LED TVs the backlights are located behind the screen attached to the forward facing side of the chassis.
Does the flat ribbon cable just snap right back on during the reassembly? Does it have to be pressed in a certain way? Sorry, probably something basic, just never disconnected/reconnected one of those before. My Visio is getting vertical colored lines in it and replacing this board looks like the solution.
@@tvpartstoday - Thanks again for your tutorial. Got my t-con board, but it did not fix my vertical lines. They also sent me a ribbon cable for the LED, but I'm afraid of breaking it when I pull it out. I understand how to disconnect the ribbon cable at the t-con board thanks to you, but I'm not sure how to disconnect the ribbon cable at the other end where it connects to the LED screen. do I press in at both black side ends? it looks very delicate, so thought I'd ask your input.
@@tvpartstoday I just purchased the TV and was just wondering had I made a mistake. Just wondering if there was a problem with something internally and maybe I should choose a different TV
Every make and model of TV has its little problems. Most of these Vizio TVs work just fine and in a lot of situations there will be no issues for many years. Are you experiencing any issues with the television?
@@tvpartstoday Thanks for your reply. No issues. I was just looking for reviews before I decided to purchase it. I found a really good deal at BestBuy $169 (open box) but I didn't want to waste my money if there were definitely going to be problems with it.
If you can see an image with the flashlight test depending on what boards are in your Tv it could be the power supply, LED driver, backlights, or the panel.
This is the same make and model TV that I have my volume still work, but my picture is out. I do have the power light on in the little red light that was in the back but there is no glare on my screen. It doesn't look like anything is burnt out so I don't know what's going on can you help me?
If you have sound and no picture it could be a few different things. We would suggest doing the flashlight test. If you see a picture with the flashlight then it could be your power supply, LED driver board or the backlight themselves. If you don't see a picture then it could be the main board or t con.
I had the same issue with my TV. I did the flashlight test n seen a faint picture. I took it apart n seem that there's only one main board, so I ordered the same model for it. I noticed you mentioned it might be the black light, is that somewhere else or is it all connected to the main board...? I would appreciate your help
My Vizio power light comes on, then fades out. No picture. But, if I unplug it, then, plug it back in, the Vizio logo flashes on the screen for a second, then goes out. Being all components are on the motherboard, should I replace it?
I have this same TV and when you turn it on there is a black screen with some very dim white light in the background can not see any input options.. is that the power board bad?
In this model there is only one board to replace so you would just need to replace it and see if it fixes your issue. Your issue could also be caused by the panel/screen.
Ive tried uploading the firmware throu usb flash drive as they explain in the VIZIO website but it dosent work either. Do you guys have the motherboard i need maybe i could buy it from you?

Is the back light built into the board

Is the main board going out a common problem with this TV?
This particular unit only has one board in it. The power supply, t-con and main board are all integrated into one.
