A skiving and walking foot leather sewing machine, tools , leather and a brilliant craftsman… great design and thank you for an excellent video which is so inspiring!
That's a beautiful piece. Great to see you making videos. I'd love to see a video of you making some of your wallets too (just a little suggestion/request). Thanks for taking the time to make and share this video.
@@KingdomGloryLeather totally brilliant. Getting my rivet anvil inside small pieces can be a pain, and i have a few extra hitches around...thanks for the idea!
OLD Leather Smith here, nice job. I havy 1 of those machines and I still hand sew everything. Sorry I am old school. Suggestion use a broom handle oor a closet rod with one end rounded. I make moccasins that require 2 B turned right sufe out and have found the closet rod works best held against the floor and wall. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
Hi ! Thank you for taking the time to create such a great video of making a duffle bag making ! I would like to purchase your template so I could give a try. Thanks again !
I literally just put the tow ball on top of my anvil. There is a small flat spot on the ball end that was big enough to set the head of the rivet on to set it. Adding the D-rings was an afterthought, Ideally I would have installed the D-rings before sewing the gussets on.
@@KingdomGloryLeather oh got it. It looked like it was on something so that makes sense. I bought some old cobblers anvils for shoes but dont have a way to mount them. I may buy the actual mount but im still totally gonna use a tow ball also
Thank you very much. As a man who has been saved by grace, I try (as often as I am able) to give glory through the talents and gifts given me, to the True King Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.
It is a New Tech brand. I really think most of these machines are all manufactured at the same place and then sent out to different companies who then put their name and paint job on them. I would buy again.
I must say, that's some God given skill. Awesome! Keep up the good work and shine the light. May I know where I can purchase any of the products and ship to India?
Absolutely! Skiving can be done by hand and the stitching can be done as well. Machines just speed up the process. Machine skiving is more accurate, the stitching is faster, but I would put a food saddle stitch against a machine stitch any day.
@@KingdomGloryLeather can I please contact you somehow? I have called company's and people all over the US and you will be the 87th one who I contacted. I need help with a wallet but everyone has turned me away
@@KingdomGloryLeather is my point of view, but if you made the cuts closer together you would save larger pieces. sorry for my english i'm using the translator

Thank you! I hope to get around to making some wallet videos eventually.
I never thought to use my skiver on the strap ends like you did.
Picked up a couple cool tips, thanks. (Ball hitch as an example..brilliant!)
Thanks. I use it as a weight and sometimes for special applications like riveting.
I love the ball hitch too! I’m gonna use it as well.
That turned out awesome!
Thank you very much!
At about 12:15 when attaching the shoulder strap D-rings...was that a ball hitch you've converted into a small anvil for stuff like that?
Yes it is a hitch ball on top of an anvil. I normally use it for a weight but it came in handy for setting those rivets in an awkward location.
@@KingdomGloryLeather totally brilliant. Getting my rivet anvil inside small pieces can be a pain, and i have a few extra hitches around...thanks for the idea!

Thank you kind sir
That's just beautiful. Amazing job.

Love how this video is made!!! So relaxing to watch and such a beautiful finished product!
Thank you so much! I appreciate it.
Good job I bet the ladies are impressed 👊👊👊👍👍
Hitch ball anvil. Genius. I am stealing that idea. What other tools have you improvised?
You could've added designs like your leather wallet, but this alone is great.
Beautiful bag. Almost feel like starting a new hobby.
Thank you.
Great design…love color coordination ❤️❤️❤️

Nice project.
Thanks!
How would you reccomend reinforcing the part where the handle rivets sir on the bag?
You could add an extra small patch of leather to the inside of the bag where the rivet is.
@@KingdomGloryLeather thanks for the tip. Happy new year!
You wouldn't happen to have a video where you make a similar bag, but with a liner would you?
Sorry I don’t.

Thank you very much! I hope to offer patterns one of there days.
Please include the dimensions do we can follow along at home 🙏🙏
Please how do I learn this and more? I’m so much interested. Are you in Canada or US? Looking forward to your reply.
I would suggest watching more videos online and lots of practice. That is how I learned.
@@KingdomGloryLeather great. I will keep watching your videos. Any other videos on Duffel bag you can recommend?
@@KingdomGloryLeather plus can you design a pattern for me? I’d be willing to pay.
Every time I watch your videos. I get off my ass and off my phone and make something. Ty
I appreciate the support!
May i ask, what is the size (diameter) that you use for inside the handle ? Rope at 12:33 in your video
I don’t have a piece on hand to measure but it was around a 1/4” diameter I believe.
What brand of machine is your skiver. Would you buy that particular brand again???
It is a New Tech brand. I really think most of these machines are all manufactured at the same place and then sent out to different companies who then put their name and paint job on them. I would buy again.
Could you provide more information on your Skiver?
It is a New-Tech GC-801 machine from Goldstartool.com

Lovely work. And it is nice to find another Christian leather worker!
Thank you. All for His glory.
May i know the thickness of the leather you used?
I believe this was 5-6 oz.
Wonderful Bag.
how long does it take to make the bag?
Greets from Germany
Thank you. It’s hard to say exactly. No more than a few evenings if you have the equipment.

can I buy your pattern
same question, is just no words
Sorry I don't have any patterns for sale currently.
Same- might be a reoccurring revenue stream for you. (Don Gonzales 'pattern packs' as an example)
What kind of sewing machine do you use?
I have a Sailrite Fabricator sewing machine & A New Tech skiving machine.
I like leather work, but when I saw he was my Christian brother, I subscribed and supported with a “like.” 😊
Thank you.
Very Nice!!
Thanks!
Waawwww 👏👏👏
Thank you 🙏
Whats that machine that bevel the edges
New Tech brand bell skiving machine.
I would prefer a slightly larger size though.
Hi, is the possible to make for an inexperienced person like me?
That’s a hard question to answer. I would say it is an intermediate to advanced project. Lots of hand work and machine work.
Sirji,
Where is the inside lining part??
There is no liner inside the bag.
Plz tel me machine required for making this

Where is the detail of measurement of each part of fabric?
Sorry I don’t have that information available.
Where do you get your materials from?

Thank you
Please tell me leather thikness
2mm to 2.3mm
Is there a pattern available?

where do you sell?
Sorry I am currently not selling. I appreciate your interest.
Do you sell the pattern?
Sorry I don’t currently.

Yes totally possible to make all by hand using a skiving knife and hand stitching.
