      Ganondorf would've figure out a way to take over Hyrule with or without the Hero of Time trying to save his homeland. Stop blaming the hero in the story and isn't blame the goddess, Zelda or villain in the story for cause all the conflict in the first place😒.

    The kokiri and korok have their shape changed based upon the needs of the situation as deemed by the Great Deku Tree. The original state is probably the korok, which gives credence to the idea that the Great Deku Tree gave life to the kokiri. The kokiri form was used and kept until it wasn't needed anymore after the hero of time died. Once Fado transitioned back into a korok the kokiri never had to be used again because the subsequent heroes never came from the forest. So after that the korok returned to their original goal, to disperse seeds and plant forests all over Hyrule. On the note of the kikwi, they were probably prototype korok and the Great Deku Tree bound itself to a tree form in order to finalize the korok form.

    The entire forest temple in TP is the Deku Sprout, the boss room is actually the dead first Deku Tree from OoT. Well that's my theory anyway, in the game if you look at the boss room before going inside the door it's inside a completely different tree inside the forest temple that looks grey and dead compared to the forest temple the same colour as the Deku tree from OoT after it died while the walls and branches surrounding it from the forest temple are healthy and alive and also the same lighter colour as the Deku Sprout from OoT.
    Also inside the separate tree/boss room the layout of it is very similar to the inside of the great Deku tree from OoT with the giant hole in the floor, now filled with water, that the boss comes out of and the doors to rooms on the upper level where the monkey boss swings in and out of to pass you the bomb bug things are similarly placed to the upper floor rooms of the OoT Deku tree even the boss in TP kind or references the 3 Deku Baba's that surround the hole in the floor in OoT's Deku tree because it's a giant Deku Baba with 3 heads. I like to think this anyway cause it's kinda awesome even if it's just a coincidence

      'Secunda', It's an interesting idea, but when it's occurred to me before, I thought about all of the other large trees around that forest. Even Link's house is a weirdly large tree. One thing that's important to mention is that the 'child era' timeline doesn't restrict the appearance of the Deku Tree Sprout (as far as I'm aware). For all we know, he could be alive--still fairly young--during Twilight Princess, hidden somewhere in the forest.
      If I may go on a slight tangent regarding Breath of the Wilds' timeline placement: I think the best evidence evidence is in favor of the 'adult era' timeline--especially considering the Koroks.

    • @Hazy18
      @Hazy18 7 лет назад +1

      Nicholas Veridiculity
      I can agree with you on BoTW's timeline placement, either that or the downfall timeline. I've also began to think that BoTW may actually be on a split timeline from the adult one, I know everyone hates to think if new timelines being added but with the Rito and Koroks in the game I've thought that maybe the game is a split from the adult were instead of letting the hero leave they kept him, or went back to change things.
      It's not hard to believe that after OoT they could have used the ocarina again. The 10,000 year old story could actually be the story about Ganondorf coming back after OoT in the adult era but someone went back and warned them he will return again and the hero won't, so in this split Zelda doesn't send the hero away, they work together with the Sheikah to create the Divine Beasts and destroy Ganondorf when he returns and prevent the flood of Hyrule.
      I know it sounds stupid but I think it's actually quite plausible.. we'll.. as plausible as a Zelda explanation can get. There obviously holes in it tho. I don't have a clue where it is in the timeline and have gave up guessing because I have like 5 different scenarios in my head that all seem as ridiculous as the last but for some reason I can't help but think the 10,000 year old hero is supposed to be the Hero of Time. It would explain how the story about Ruto was on the stone monument at Zoras domain and would also explain why Kass at the stable at the bottom of Death Mountain plays Epona's Song and tells you that it's theorised that the song was used by the 10,000 year old hero to communicate with his horse companion

      'Secunda', See, the thing is: you say '[...] well.. as plausible as a Zelda explanation can get.', but Ocarina of Time's explanation makes logical sense. The only aspect of the timeline I'd poke holes in is the 'fallen hero' timeline, which essentially legitimizes a kind of multiverse theory. Still, only three timelines are cannon.

  • @superstone13

    I know it's not canon but I feel like it's heavily implied that the monkeys you save in TP are the koroks of that age. They change their form to the most appropriate things for their environment. When they were looking after link in Oot they wanted to look like humans so he would assimilate well, and all other obvious koroks can have their form explained by theirs environment. The monkeys live right in that tree which is equally implied to be the deku tree. I feel like with any other series this would be canon but with Loz everything's planned out as it goes so we feel like we need everything laid out in 100% matter of fact to avoid confusion. But the monkeys bein koroks just fits so nicely.

      What doesn't make sense to me tho is that in ocarina of time, the kokiri were not allowed to leave forest because if they did then they would die. ...which doesn't make sense to me cause in the future Zelda games like breath of the wild, the koroks can now leave kokiri forest. Either the kokiri were told they would die if they left to keep them in the forest in ocarina of time, or the creators of Zelda forgot that they would die if they left the forest. Its just a thought that came to mind. They could change it if they wanted too. But that was just one of my thoughts.

    • @kjmilligan808
      @kjmilligan808 7 лет назад +13

      I think that the Deku Tree only told them that because he knew Ganondorf would have killed them in order to try and get the Kokiri Emerald. After Ganondorf/Ganon got sealed away, The Deku Tree said that they could finally leave the forest. Of course, this is a theory though.

      The Kokiri were all present at the festival at Lon Lon Ranch during the end credits of the game in the Adult Timeline (Link having been sent back through time to before he met Zelda wasn't there), and they were all alive and well. The Great Deku Tree had just told them not to leave to keep them safe.

    Is it possible that the kikwis in skyward sword and the monkeys in thwilight princess are all kokiris? Maybe they shapeshift at will. Perhaps they only took on the kokiri form at all to make link feel at home. Perhaps the spirit of the hermit kikwi eventually merged with the tree he resided in

    • @attackcrash0758
      @attackcrash0758 7 лет назад +12

      I feel that their true form is that of simple Forest Spirits, and they can change their form at will to suit their current environment. I also think that those light things we see flying around in the Kokiri Forest in Ocarina of Time are their true forms.

      lrighetti3 You made it sound like they actually have it and it's canon. I know this is a game and anything is possible but I don't believe that is something they are capable of.
      Well, you can think of the other timelines like the string theory multiverse. I don't pretend to know anything about that but I sort of get the concept. In theory, there are multiple realities out there each a little different. Maybe in the Zelda universe because magic exists, changes made by Zelda moving Link through time caused a literal reality to keep going 3 ways. Maybe it's possible the sheikah created something to move through different realities? I personally don't see the timelines like that. I see them as "what if" scenarios. What if Link died in Oot- Here is what would happen. What if Link was sent back to his chdhood- Here's what would happen... You get it. I don't see those timelines literally happening side by side because while we are playing in one, the others don't exist.
      Can't see how a timeline convergence would make any sense either. Would it collide at a point like completing a circle then continue straight down? How would any historical events make sense to the inhabitants? Would there be 3 of everyone all with different memories? Would it be like a spiritual collision and everyone has 3 different memories of the same event? Would the land of hyrule have another calamity with the earth shifting creating locations that weren't there before? That would probably kill a lot of people. None of that timeline convergence stuff makes any sense. Peaking into another timeline makes more sense than that.

    I always though the WW Deku Tree was the descendant of the Great Deku Sprout from OoT. The Great Deku Sprout grew into a massive mountain sized tree, and the Kokiri lived in it's hollowed out husk with a new sprout being the great derp tree of WW. Also thanks to the curse, the Great Daddy Tree's husk was somehow infested with monster and tentacles, becoming the forbidden woods. But I don't know how it got so big, or did the Gods create mountain tops to flee to, because before WW, the only mountain was Death Mountain

  • @ontos8534
    @ontos8534 6 лет назад +1

    I think that the Kikwi/Kokiri/Koroks/TP Monkeys don’t have one physical form but are forest spirits and they can change their form to suit their needs so for instance in OOT they took the form of forest children to seem less threatening to the Hylians, then post Ganodorf war took the form of monkeys to become more hidden within the forest, but in WW and BOTW they shifted to the smaller more stealthy forms to avoid detection from Ganon

    Okay here me out here.
    So what if instead of having generational memory syncing, he's more like a phoenix?
    You know, those red Chinese avian thingies that spontaneously combust upon the moments of their deaths and are then reborn out of the ashes they leave behind?
    So, then like, when the Deku Tree 'dies', his soul, his essence, or his sentience or whatever you wanna call it, is reborn as a new sprout so he can never truly die completely.
    Honestly, I think that sounds more scientifically believable than generational memory syncing.

    I got a theory about the Koroks. Always found it strange that just because they moved they turned into these wooden creatures. I tend to wonder if they were originally Koroks, but took the form of children when baby Link moved into the forest for the sake of him growing up around more humanoid figures.

    A part of me hopes that we will see the Kokiri again in a future game. Barring Makar, I preferred them to the Koroks, even though in real-life, being stuck amidst a race of ageless children would be my idea of a nightmare after a while. I know how chaotic a room of children can get (I work in education). It's fun until they start fighting... usually over something rediculous, or somebody sees a spider you almost need a microscope to spot, and all the kids run to the other side of the room. Almost makes me feel sorry for the Great Deku Tree in the game, lol.

    • @XxBrittany20xX
      @XxBrittany20xX 7 лет назад +11

      That's because according to other stories in past Zelda games, since both link and Zelda have to be reincarnated, they have to be born within the bloodline of their own Family bloodlines. So link and Zelda cant marry even if they wanted too when it comes to most Zelda games now. Because if they were to marry and have kids, their bloodlines would be intertwined forever and they would lose their pure bloodlines to be reincarnated. So even if they did love each other, it cant happen. ...kinda interesting tho when you think about it. Because then it is a forbidden love story. ^_^ And even tho in windwaker (as far as I know) tetra and link marry and have kids, Link in that game is not of pure blood from the heros bloodline. (the king of hyrule and jabu confirmed that.) He had to earn the title of hero by proving his courage. He might be a non-blood relative tho because his family had the heros shield on their wall. Meaning the hero probably married one of links grandmothers sisters. And that leaves link in windwaker not of bloodline of the hero. Makes me wonder what happened to the real hero tho. hmmm...so many unexplained things to figure out.

      Meh, the only Zelda and Link that were close were the pair from Skyward Sword and they did end up together; the rest were either too young or didn't know each other well. It's all well and good, though; Link (Hero of Time) married Malon, so I'd say he traded up, and his descendant marries Ilia, so he wins, too.

      xXBrittany20Xx The spirit of the hero is reincarnated. It has nothing to do with bloodline or family.
      As for Zelda. Her destiny is passed on to the next-generation/next Zelda in the family. So yes Link can marry Zelda. Because his spirit will be passed on to next Hylian to help the New Zelda.

    • @xlionfire
      @xlionfire 6 лет назад +1

      I wouldn't say that them being too young really counts for much, seeing as we don't know for sure the ages of the Link's and Zelda's that are close, and either way they grow up eventually and with how emotions can form over time you never know, and it's not like Nintendo is gonna come out and reveal which Links and Zelda's get together. Minish Cap, Four Swords, and Four Swords Adventures (if I remember correctly), all have Links that are childhood friends of Zelda, and while that doesn't mean they get together after their said games its a higher chance they could. And while I agree with OoT Link ending up with Malon due to TP Link knowing Epona's song by heart at the beginning of the game, I gotta disagree with TP Link getting with Ilia. While I did think they might've ended up together after the game when I first played it, the ending hit that theory with a brick wall. Link just leaves Ordon, we don't know if he tells anyone, but with a shield on his back and Epona by his sides he just walks away. Ilia is the next mayor of Ordon Village, she can't just up and leave, not to mention she stands and watches him leave, and join him on whatever adventure or thing he get's up to next, which is sad if you like that ship. But who knows, it's not like we get supplementary material taking place after the games anyway :/

    Why is no one doing a theory on a fourth timeline since the very first game of the entire canon has the exact same time travel duality as Ocarina of Time? Did the game not end with both the present and past versions of the villain dying? Would this not create a new timeline similar to after the OoT?

    • @MrZangetsu468
      @MrZangetsu468 6 лет назад

      Anthoni Brookshire Actually it doesn't. Link kills Demise in the future (The Forgotten) by wishing on the Triforce and he destroys Girahim and Demise in the past. Young (Past) Impa protects the door of time, and Zelda and Link return to the 'future'. Therefore only one timeline exists. BOTW Spoiler: Urbosa states it was written that Ganondorf once took the form of a Gerudo, meaning OOT has happened prior to BOTW occurring.

    • @cjkula
      @cjkula 6 лет назад

      the problem is that if Link went back to the past, defeated demise and girahim then and there, then none of the events of that game before that point should have happened.
      what I mean is, Debby wouldn't have existed at the start of the game to summon the black tornado that knocks Zelda to the surface, her and Link would have never gone below the clouds. humans would have stayed in the sky forever. except the goddess sent the triforce and humans to the sky to keep them out of the reach of demise. the point in the past that Link defeated demise was just after that. so they'd have still been up there, but would Skyloft have come back down in time?
      Skyloft did look like it was once bigger and loosing ground. perhaps eventually they needed to flee to the surface and had to use the triforce to make it happen, meaning the goddess blade still woke and chose Link, he did the trials, got the triforce, and lowered Skyloft? but would that have been necessary? why not just open 1 hole in the clouds and everyone go down there? perhaps then the reason there is no mention of the triforce in botw is because it is still in the sky somewhere.
      Link and Zelda would still have been cursed by demise, which would still affect them even in the new timeline where none of the events of SS happened except Link defeating him in the past, and then returning to the original timeline. right? so then Ganondorf of the gerudo could have still appeared, and in a later incarnation became calamity Gannon. and who knows? if gerudo Ganondorf still appeared and Link and Zelda were still cursed, the Hero of Time would likely still be born to stop him, just perhaps without the presence of the triforce. but who knows what other differences there could have been?
      perhaps instead of magic, Hyrule was more technological. and after OoT, Calamity Gannon appeared in a technologically advanced Hyrule with Zoras, Ruto, and Kokiri.

    • @cjkula
      @cjkula 6 лет назад

      such is the case with OoT, when Link defeated Ganon in the future, he then went back into the past, to before he'd even met Zelda, sealed the sacred realm, so Ganon would never get into it and cause the adult timeline he'd been in to never exist. but according to the cannon timeline it does still exist and continues beyond the point where Link returned to the past to stop it from existing.
      in Skyward sword Link goes to the past and defeats both Girahim and Demise, meaning non of the events of the game in the future should have happened. he returns to the future, to the point just after he'd gone to the past, and all those events have still happened. we would generally expect that changing the past and then traveling to the future, would cause you to emerge in the future of a new timeline, where the events of the previous timeline haven't happened. and maybe that's what we're missing here. maybe in SS when Link returns to the future, it is a new future, where we just assume the same events have occurred when they haven't. maybe the entire Zelda timeline we know is the new timeline the 1st Link created, and we know nothing of what became of the original Timeline after Link went to the Past to defeat Demise, and never came back...

  • @ovecka17
    @ovecka17 5 лет назад

    In every timeline something horrible happens at the end, downfall Gannon takes over, in child a war, in adult a flood, and in result the kokiri become koroks and leave the forest, in windwaker they end up in forest haven, and in the other timelines they move to great hyrule forest which is above hyrule castle, which is where they are in botw and a link to the past. The reason there are no kokiri or koroks in alttp is because link cant see them because as you can see in other games regular people cant see the koroks, the reason link can see them is because he is granted the power to see them by the koroks or deku tree as you can see in windwaker, and in alttp he doesnt need to see them so the koroks dont let him see them, and the deku tree never meets link so he never makes the koroks show themselves to link. In botw link can see them as the koroks know who he is and let them see him, or the deku tree knows who he is and lets him see all the koroks. Faron woods used to be lost woods or kokiri forest and was transformed as in botw the areas match very closely, later it was inhabited by hylians. I think think that the reason faron woods was populated by humans was because that where lon lon ranch moved, due to other theories it is likely oot link married malon and that tp link is a descendent of oot link and epona in tp is a descendent of oot epona, i think then link ended up moving to kokiri forest with malon and talon and a town grew around it that was populated by hylians when the koroks moved to great hyrule forest, i also think that the reason faron woods isnt exactly like lost woods is because the great deku tree creates the lost woods, which is why it was also in great hyrule forest in botw, and when the kokiri and great deku tree leave kokiri forest lost woods disappears and becomes its own thing and is now navigable by any person, faron woods is the lost woods true form i think

      The Kokiri aren't in the Downfall Timeline because they became normal Hylians. Saria has direct descendants, like one of the seven maidens from LttP, and Gulley from LBW, and the three loggers seem to be descendants of the Kokiri.

    I get the feeling that the tree in Faron Woods in Skyward Sword is actually the earliest known Great Deku Tree, but at some point through the timeline something happens, maybe the appearance of the Kokiri, which grants a Great Deku Tree the ability to talk, and that ability continues being passed down. Or the Great part of the name refers to the ability to talk and not the size, and the SS tree was just a Deku Tree
    Also, odds are the monkeys of TP are also an evolution/form for the Kokiri, but I'm curious about their origins. Descendants of the Kikwi from SS? Descendants of the Picori from MC? A new and separate race from either? I personally think Picori, unless you want to say the Kikwi became the Picori and later became the Kokiri. The Picori share a lot with the Kokiri as it is. Small, live in a forest (well the Picori can survive outside of the forest, but the main city is in one), make houses of trees or other plants, magical, not particularly powerful, but not helpless. And because I just feel bad that everyone forgets about the existence of the Picori and want them to have some value outside Minish Cap
    As for the placement of BotW, watch "Oman Au" Aonuma throw everyone through a loop by stating that it goes between MM and TP somehow, or some other ridiculous place except the end of the timeline. If not for it having been confirmed to come after OoT, I wouldn't be surprised if they said it came between SS and MC just to mess with everyone, put a random 10000 year gap right at the beginning
