    One important thing to note if using a USD PayPal account - WISE does not appear in the list of available US banks within PayPal, so you have to enter the routing # and account # manually. The bank's name is Community Federal Savings Bank.

    why i cannot add bank account in wise if im from india, i have opened personal account in wise but still unable to add my bank so that i can recieve money from other country, just says unavailable in india

      Hey there. In order to receive money into your Wise account, you'll need to have account details and Wise balances. However, this feature is unavailable for personal accounts in India at the moment.
      To receive money via Wise, you can add your local bank account to your recipient list, and mark that as a primary account. That way, when another Wise user sends you money via your email address, it goes straight to your marked primary account. Here's more info on that: wi.se/markprimaryaccount

    Hey. My Wise account says it’s from Belgium but I live in Portugal. Regardless, the IBAN number PayPal asks for is 25 digits whereas the one I have is only 16 digits, 14 being numbers and 2 being the letters BE. What do I do?

      Hi, Manuel! From what you're describing, you're trying to use EUR account details, right? We're licensed in Belgium, so all of our IBANs starts with BE.
      Even if you live in Portugal and your Wise account is registered there, your EUR account details will have a Belgium IBAN, as we aren't able to provide an IBAN with a different country code. Check how to use your EUR account details here: wi.se/howtouseyoureurbalance
      You can also use our IBAN checker to understand the format of your IBAN: wi.se/ibanchecker
      Lastly, if you come across any issues while using your account details or it's not accepted within the EEA, it might be IBAN discrimination. Understand more about it here: wi.se/ibandiscrimination

    does this work with hungarian forints also? because sth wrong with the receiving information, paypal need the bank name but on the hungarian forints account i doN't see any of these
    does this from paypal to wise works with specific currencies?

      Hi, Mark. We hear you, and are happy to help. It sounds like you want to receive HUF from PayPal using your HUF account details, correct? If so, the bank name would be Wise, or Wise Europe SA. Here's a guide with more info: wi.se/hufbalance
      As long as, PayPal is able to accept our account details as a withdrawal account, and it's supported currencies on both ends, you should be able to receive money from them.

      Hi there! If you're trying to link your PayPal account to your Wise account, you can go into the balances of the currency you're using and, by clicking on "account details", you'll be able to see all details of the account, including the bank name.
      Depending on the currency, you can just enter "Wise" as the bank name. But for others, you can click on the interrogation mark right beside "Wise's address" - there, you can see our banking partner in that region and use its name.
      If you're having trouble, we'd recommend reaching out to PayPal to understand why they're not able to support this as well.

    It's not clear if I can move different currencies from the same Paypal account to various Wise wallets in my account. The video says if I have a GBP Paypal account I need to get Wise account details in GBP, but I also need to move USD, EUR, AUD and some other currencies from Paypal to Wise. Is this possible?

      Hi Riyaz, our Balances and Account details feature isn't available for personal customers in India, so you can't receive money if that's the case.     Need help..
    I tried to add wise to my PayPal ACH Wire routing number & Account number and PayPal sent to small transections to verify. yet from wise side I'm unable to see those transections to be able to verify. I have tried multiple time and waited more then couple of days with no avail. please help

      Hey there! To withdraw money from PayPal to Wise, you’ll have to first link your Wise account to PayPal. Here’s how to link your Wise account to PayPal online or in the PayPal app:
      👉 Log into PayPal online or in-app
      👉 Go to Wallet
      👉 Click Link a card or bank, then Link a bank account (in the app you just need to tap Banks)
      👉 Search for your bank or select it from the list
      If you can’t find Wise listed, you can still enter your bank account details manually and click Agree and Link. In this case, you’ll need to complete a verification step - 2 small deposits will be sent to your account by PayPal, and you’ll need to enter details of the amounts sent to your PayPal account to verify it.
      We also share more information about linking your Wise to PayPal in our blog page here: wi.se/paypaltobalances. However, do you mean that your PayPal account is denominated in MYR, but you would like to send it to your USD account details? If so, please know that we can't accept any other currency except USD to the USD details.

      Usually, a customer can also link a card instead of bank. However, we'd suggest confirming these concerns with PayPal if they support that way (i.e. if they'll allow linking a digital card and if you can add Wise AU bank account), since the process is performed from their end.

Once you've done that, you can convert it to INR with mid-market exchange rate: wi.se/moneyconversion.

      Hi there. You don't have to have money in your Wise account, in order to use it. But, please keep in mind, that in order to get Wise account details (which are used to receive money), we do ask you to add 20 USD (or the equivalent in your currency) first.
      Just like you'd make an initial deposit when opening an account at a bank, this is one of the ways we verify our customers as a regulated financial institution.

    Thank You for the info. However it is not working for some people. How does someone who is not a wise card holder sent money from an old fashioned bank account, lets say in the UK, sent money to a wisecard holder in the USA or inanother european country? Would be great to have a working description. Have reviewed some potential explanations but they do not clearly define the issue.

If you're looking to send money through our platform from a bank account in the UK to someone that has an account with us in the USA, or somewhere in Europe - then this would be possible by first setting up the payment on your account with us, selecting bank transfer at the payment step, and then paying directly through your bank.

      The person receiving the payment will in their place be able to successfully receive this payment to their account with us if they have our account details feature activated for their GBP balance that they hold in their account with us.

      @@Wise thank you. That means that someone with a regular bank account cannot transfer funds into my wise account based on the banking details I provided to him. I gave someone in the UK my wise account details for a small transfer, but the funds never were credited to my wise account.

      Hi again. We hear your concerns but a person should be able to send money from their external bank account into your Wise account if you're eligible for balances, and have provided the sender with the correct account details for your receiving balance.
      Please note that if this transfer was done recently, it can take up to 2 working days for the money to be reflected into your account. We suggest reaching out to the sender to ask for the status and for a transfer receipt.
      If the ETA passes and your money hasn't reached your Wise balance, you can submit a Proof of Payment (POP) so our dedicated team can attempt to track the payment.       @@Wise I followed this tutorial, up until you have to get the bank account details, I've NEVER deposited any money with wise, so this will be my first time, and like I mentioned I have NO OPTION TO SEE THESE DETAILS UNLESS I do the id, which I have NO issue with, my issue is getting my money from paypal to wise. DO you see the catch 22/circular problem?

      Hello there. You can only receive money from a cryptocurrency platform that is regulated and/or supervised in the EU or UK. But, while Binance is regulated in the EU, our team is currently conducting checks with being able to receive money from the platform again. Right now, it's temporarily suspended.       To link your PayPal Business account with Wise, you'll have to sign up for a Wise Business account: wise.com/gb/business/receive-money. From there, you can hold up to 40+ different currencies at once. If you use these local details to withdraw your money from PayPal, you can receive the money in the same currency and no conversion will be needed.

      Hey, MV. So Step 3 would be the verification step, where PayPal sends microdeposits to your Wise account. This process is usually pretty quick - Almost instant 🙂

    Hello Wise team,
    It would be so helpful if you help me through these queries:
    1. Is it possible to edit our personal account details such as estimated transaction limit while we haven't perform any transaction yet ? Also what happens if we exceed the estimated limit we have choosen ?
    2. While adding Debit or credit card for adding balance in our Wise balance does that card need to be of same (person) name or we can link anyone's card and topup balance into our account ?
    3. I'm aware of the feature of edit mobile number but can we edit that to any country number where Wise all services are not available like balance account as sometime we may be travelling in such country and we might need to receive 2 factor codes.
    Editing our mobile number with such country number would make any difference in the services available or we will have all the features running smoothly like before ?

      1. When you select the amount of money that you expect to use Wise for, this is just an estimate, and it's okay if you go over or under that amount.
      2. Any time you add money to your account, the name on the external account that you're using must match the name on the Wise account. This means that any debit or credit cards you use to top up your account must also be in your name. More about adding money to your balance here: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances
      3. You can definitely change your phone number at any time, we'll just need you to send us a selfie with ID when you change your phone number, so we can be sure that it's you doing so. More info on that here: wi.se/changephonenumber

    Is there any wise fee while withdrawing from paypal?
    I know paypal will cut fee but is there any fee from your end (like payoneer type 30$ yearly fee or 1$ every time I receive a paypal bank transfer in payoneer account)?
    I am tired of payoneer😢

      Hey there 👋 There's no fee to receive money into your Wise account when withdrawing from PayPal. To receive money into your account, you'll need to create account details with us but you'll have to top up your account with 20 GBP (or the equivalent in your currency) and get verified first.     I had already linked my wise account information with my old paypal account, I created a new account several months ago and I cannot link my new paypal account to Wise because paypal mentions than an old account had already been linked with this information.....Is it possible to have new account information (new account number..) to be able to link with my new paypal account?
