THANK YOU for this. This is the help I needed to transition from script-reading without my face on screen, to the opposite.
I was previously going to blow $500 on a teleprompter, but after a few experiments I realized that eye-contact aside, it still LOOKED like I was reading.
Thanks fro putting 8 hours of R&D to a swift conclusion.

hey man thanks for the video!
    I have a question:
(I have also a faceless channel)
I am honest: I took the transcipts of other video creators and just rewrote it in quilbot and then used the script for my own videos and now I got into issues:
unfortunately after a couple videos youtube demonetized me for reused content and deleted some watch hours of mine. So after a few months I got the 4k watch hours again. Then I applied for YPP 3 days ago and today I got an email from them saying I was rejected...(for the same reason they demonetized me)
Now I can make an appeal video and I also will and there is no problem about showing the process of making my videos, because I use audacity for voice over, doodly for the video itself and canva for the thumbnail. The only problem is my script. Since I always just copy and pasted the transcript of another video into quilbot, rewrote it and then used it as my script, I am not sure how to show them how I make my scripts. What would you recommend how should I show them the "script-part", so they accept me for YPP again?
Should I maybe just show how I google things and use multiple sources and take some parts from all of them and then put them into my word document to use it as the script or how else should I show it ? Like whats the "legal"/"good" way to make scripts, so I can show them in the appeal video?
    Have a good one.

I am struggling with the same thing except english is my first language. My problem is that I am doing software tutorials and for years I have been working on speed and accuracy. So trying to describe what I am doing and slowing down to say keyboard commands etc. throws me off completely. Have tried it in sections , have tried beginning to end and scripted. Doesn't help that I have a rep online of being an expert in the software - I run two different FB groups that have almost 200k members. So i don't want to start uploading crappy videos. Only have one chance for a first impression. Everyday, I put on the headphone and start - I now name the screencast by the date. Maybe my scripted ones were too technical - back to the drawing board. Thanks.

It sounds like you want to do the tutorial from beginning to end flawless in one take.
You need to edit the tutorial anyway with zoom in/outs etc, so there is no problem in doing a piece 3 or 4 times and pick the best parts in the edit.
I trip so often over words.
For All of my tutorials on this channel: the raw footage is 50 minutes long or so and I cut it down to only 10 minutes.
      Hope that helps

    1) The video of course
    2) Blog post
    3) RUclips video description for SEO
    4) Make a checklist of the bullet points and send it in your Newsletter

Thanks so much! Is it better to stop the camera recording when you mess up? Or record continuously and cut it out later? Which is more efficient or better?

    • @socialvideoplaza
      @socialvideoplaza  3 года назад

      it is a personal preference.
Time wise, stopping is preferred when you have an admiistration of good and bad shots.
Simply because you know which files to ignore in the edit.
You never have to look at the bad shots, you don't have to scout good shots.
Editing is super quick this way, but the shoot is la bit onger.
Lately I've experimented with continueing and heavy editing.
The shoot is quicker because you are still in "the zone", but the editing is much much slower.
