      I struggle so much this time of year. Deeply and profoundly. Maybe because it was her favorite time of the year and from my first breath to their last every Christmas Eve was spent at their house. Wishin I could hear their voices, see their smiling faces. Hard to encapsulate into words what they were to me, what their home was to me. But it’s more than I could ever attempt to explain. Part of me has been so lost since they’ve been gone. So very lost. Just holding onto the hope I will one day see them again.! Oh, YOU WILL, IF YOU ARE GOING TO HEAVEN?! YOU DOBREALIZE. IT IS * YOUR CHOICE RIGHT? BECAUSE IT IS!! YOURS!! IF JESUS PAID THE WAY FOR YOU- AND HE DID! WENT TO THE CROSS, WAS CRUCIFED TO PAY FOR YOUR, NOT HIS, YOUR SINS!! LET ME YELL YOU THE GOOD NEWS! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO!! WHY,?! SAY GO GET MY CHILDREN!! WHAT DAY IS THAT ROSEMARIE?! NOBODY KNOWS BUT THE FATHER GOD!! MHI IS; WHEN JESUS HAS HIS TOES CIINGING TO THEVHEAVENLY RIM, GO!! HE WILL BE GONE FROM HEAVEN, RIGHT HERE ON THE EARTH SAYING, AS LOUD AS A TRUMPET, IF WILL BE SO LOUD, EVERYBODY WORLD OVER, 🌎 WILL* HEAR* IT!*!! FOR JESUS SAID, I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU! IF IT WERE NOT SO( YOU DO KNOW, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE!! WHY?! CUZ IF HE SAID, (IT WAS WHITE AND IT WAS BLACK ?! * IT WOULD BE! AMEN- MEANS SO* BE* IT*!!AND NO IF ANDS OR BUTTS HERE, SO, THERE IS THE GOSPEL- MEANS GOOD NEWS! GOOD NEWS IS, JESUS IS COMING BACK' FOR YOU! ME? AND, ANY ONE ELSE*! EVERYBODY ELSE WHO WANTS, GOT 2 WANT TO PEEPS! WANTS TO GO. ANYBODY OUT THERE IN THE WORLD, WANT 2 GO??! GO PEOPLE GO! HELL IS NOT FOR YOU! DO U HEAR ME?!! Btw, love your icon. Saw every US Clash tour, all but the last (Joe n Paul + replacements) utterly thrilling shows. Finally caught Slits live after decades of hope, small NJ room (Maxwell's) just the year before Ari died. Show was awesome. She invited audience members onstage to sing bird songs (free vocalizations); my G'friend jumped up and in. Later, backstage, she was gracious and friendly (not all the band were).
      And, yes, a Dec 22 gig poster - the date Joe died. Nice touch. You caught my eye, at least. Props n peace.

    Brian Wilson wrote this song for The Ronnettes to record. Phil Spector would not allow it because he was jealous of anyone that showed the slightest interest in Ronnie. The Beach Boy's decided to release it and it became a classic. One of the best love songs ever written. After Ronnie escaped from Phil's mansion of madness she finally had the opportunity to recorded it. There is actually a video of Brian Wilson hearing Ronnie's version for the first time.

    • @scottysmith2711

      uh no... Brian wrote the song trying to match the vibe of Be My Baby because he loved it so much, it was sort of a followup to that song. In the same key and drum beat as the Ronettes tune... If it was recorded today, Brian would have most likely have been sued over it

      WRONG! "Be My Baby" was recorded in July of 1963[6] at Gold Star Studios in Los Angeles. The song was composed by the trio of Phil Spector, Jeff Barry, and Ellie Greenwich. Brian Wilson wrote "Don't Worry Baby" after he heard Be My Baby.

    Ronnie, I think about You every time it rains. Not sure how to interpret it. Is it the world crying because We’ve lost You? Or tears of joy from Heaven when ever You sing?

    She had to be the most underrated talent of all time, aside from maybe for the first 30 years of Little Richard. Perfectly made for Beach Boys songs, no?

    • @redacted2275
      @redacted2275 11 месяцев назад

      What? She was the face of Philles Records and one of the biggest popstars of the 60s! Then she became a cult icon until her demise. What an asinine exaggeration!
      Little Richard is considered the "Architect of Rock and Roll" and had a steady career until his demise. Have you ever heard of Richard Berry?! ffs Stop using the word "underrated" for frivolous comparisons.

      @@redacted2275 lots of people became Cult Icons, but were still underrated by main stream non cultists. Capiche? Ronnie's name was not on our radar at the time. The name Ronettes was all we knew. If you ask the average baby boomer who Ronnie Specter is, you get a blank look until you explain it to them. Then they get it and then she's not underrated. But she will always be underrated due to people not recognizing the name Specter. Not everyone is an aficionado of the industry.
