When Ronnie sings Walking In The Rain I get goosey and teary eyed. Brian makes me tear up just seeing him back out there. I adore those 2. I never thought Brian would see 2000 and here it's 2022 + we still have him. I wish Ronnie made it a bit longer. R.I.P. Veronica Greenfield.
+Lorenzo Sandoval Lornezo, Agreed about Brian and Ronnie being comfy. As a kid of the So Cal beach and sound of the 60s it is refreshing to see them performing after the difficulties of the past. Future is bright for Brian, Ronnie and Music.
+Lorenzo Sandoval Both Brian and Ronnie are so amazing thanks for sharing your opinion with me. If you ever read Ronnie's biography it is also an amazing story and her life with Phil Spector that was horrible. Glad she made it through it all and made it on her own and still going strong today! They don't make them like her anymore!
Dave, I gave Brian a ride home up the hill one day back in the early 80's. He showed me around the house and shared a great deal with me. I never spoke to him again because I didn't want to intrude. I will explain better, but more privately on message on facebook. I really loved you guys.
Music...the single greatest unifier in the universe. More disappears than just "the sounds of the city"...your social, economic, racial or ethnic background disappears, baby!...and, what this gift of music becomes a voice to declare.....that the greatest force in the universe is love..."whenever you touch me, baby, whenever you're near."💞
This is just wonderful Ronnie and Brian. It always amazes me how Brian can come up with the prettiest back up vocals. How does he do that? It is really moving to hear. Brian Wilson is a musical genius.
"How does he do that?" Yo answered your own question. GENIUS. George Martin, Brian Wilson and Phil Spector were the best in the studio, with Todd Rundgren and Daniel Lanois very close.
The comment was “imagine Ronnie and BRIAN singing this with *their* 1966 voices” - it doesn’t say that they thought it was Brian who sang this originally, especially since The Beach Boys version was released in *1969*, not 1966. So, I’ll repeat the sentiment of MS8596’s comment: Imagine if *THIS* DUET BY RONNIE AND *BRIAN* was done in RONNIE’S AND BRIAN’S 1966 voices. That’s all the original comment was saying, smarty pants know-it-all. It would’ve sounded amazing.
@@susannemcintyre9816 It's pretty obvious some folks here, while well meaning but don't know BB history. Brian had one of the best voices out there, before drugs and a three pack a day cigarette habit took it away. So yes, IF the song had been around in 1966, and Ronnie and Brian had sung it, the outcome would have been amazing.
@@Alecw51 No sh*t Sherlock!!! Picture in your small mind the singing voice both of them had in 1966 singing this duet together. Put the crack pipe down and give it a try!

I would have paid big money to hear Ronnie Spector and Carl Wilson sing this song in their prime, I'm guessing the 60's maybe early 70's still. What a concert that would have been. Rest Easy Carl and Ronnie!!
Fantastic...A tribute to Ronnie Spector's legend and talent that Brian Wilson, of all people, is a BACKING VOCALIST here! Two survivors making sweet, sweet music.
It's really great to see so many stars singing the BB songs and with the members. Always great to see Brian on stage after all his problems. Both came up smelling like roses. Bravo.
Ronnie is so content to finally be singing together with Brian Wilson. It would have been great if they'd been colaborating on records, back when Ronnies voice was at it's very best. It's sadly too late now... Still, thank you for the golden memories. R.I.P. Ronnie. 💛💛💛
He adored Ronnie & wrote "Don't Worry Baby" for her & the Ronettes. .. But nutty Phil didn't let her record the songs because he was jealous of Brian. . They could have had so many more hits if he hadn't been so controlling. So glad that Ronnie, at last, can enjoy all the praise for her.
I cry almost every time I watch this...two of my very favorite performers collaborating on such a beautiful song. And to know how much they care about each other just enhances the music. Ronnie Bennett is so awesome and Brian is an absolute musical genius.
@@thomassherer5962 I was quite taken with Ronnie Spector from a young age. May she rest in peace! Be My baby is my favorite of the Ronettes songs, but honestly Walking In The Rain is a very close second. I really liked her collaboration on Take Me Home Tonight with Eddie Money, too. She was a beautiful and sexy lady, and had one hell of a set of pipes. May Phil Spector rot in hell for eternity for what he did to this woman.
Btian Wilson has always said Be My Baby by the Ronettes was the best pop song ever recorded. So I'm not the least bit surprised he is humble enough to do background vocals for another legend like Ronnie Spector. ❤
Ronnie and Brian had a very special love and respect for each other. I think both were just as honored to to be on stage with the other. Brian's counterpart vocals sound perfect on this song!
What a great style of the voice of Ronnie Spector. Awesomely done! Time is slipping away because of my delay, It's time to consider inside, to stay. 🔥time to play🎸🎷📯🎤
This is so great!!! Brian Wilson was a big fan of Phil Spector's Music Production and he was so blown away by "Be My Baby", it inspired him to Write an Answer Song "Don't Worry Baby" and Roger McGuinn of The Byrds sampled The Guitar Riff for their Version of Mr Tamborine Man.
this performance by the beautiful Ronnie Spector (1942-2022), & equally beautiful Brian Wilson (1942-#HereandNow), is from "Chapel of Love: Jeff Barry & Friends - TV Special / DVD 2000" (not from a Ronnie Spector tribute concert)
~ 2966, 2969 to today: this is brilliant. A flawless Ronnie/Ronettes song never that popular in its original release, adored by AND re-immortalized by The Beach Boys. Now we have 2 fantastic versions of a classic song, still fresh in 2018 in the original 7" versions! Cheers, DAVEDJ ~
I was so caught up in listening to Ronnie and Brian(both of whom I love) that it took me a while to notice the Twin Towers in the backdrop. Adds a sad touch to an otherwise wonderful video.
Ronnie and Darlene Love are two of the greatest women singers in American History. And their voices have remained strong over time. As the late Carl Wilson once said, "Music is God's Voice" and it is proven in Ronnie and Darlene - The Lord's Gift to Us.
Originally broadcast as a PBS television special, this program was recorded live at the Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara, CA, in 2000. "Chapel of Love: Jeff Barry and Friends", featuring various great artists performing hit songs written by Barry.
The guitarist behind her with long hair loved it when she touched Brian n sang the sound of Brian he was smiling so much such a beautiful song she n Brian sang it well rip Ronnie very much missed we all lost a great lady n singer ❤🎉😮😮😢
Brian doing just backing vocals for Ronnie. Only true giants can afford to be that humble...
Exactly!!
Yup!
Its like when Michael Jackson sang back-up on "Watching Me" in the 80s for Berry Gordy's son's track.
i've been thinking this several times. Good from you to express it , and so right !!!
How perfectly you put it! Great comment & I so agree with you! He is so humble to do that!
Brain Wilson- No earplugs, no auto tune....just pitch perfect perfection.

What's wrong with earplugs lol? Do you see something wrong with people protecting their hearing?
NOT earplugs! They're "in ear" stage monitors. Without them (or floor monitors), it would be hard to hear your own voice over the instruments.
@@bobbiweiss4176 exactly, it's ridiculous I think that someone would ridicule people for using in-ears, or actual earplugs for that matter.
