    The E8 is the fourth Jura that we have purchased, and it is definitely my favorite! It makes the best cappuccino that I have ever had. I love the the ability to program different coffees, as my husband and I have very different tastes. Jura’s customer service is the best!

    Our Jura finally gave up today after 14 years of use, by three to four people for an average of 12 cups per day. The best part of this machine was that Jura would repair it for only $375. We are going to repair our old machine, repurpose it for office use, and buy a new E8 for our home. These are great machines!!

      My F9 just gave up. Jura doesn't refurb this model anymore so I'll have to by another machine. A new E8 or a used S9 probably.

    Hi Gail.
    My wonderful husband purchased the Jura E8 as a Christmas present for me (lucky me). I'm really enjoying my machine. it has taken drinking coffee to the next level (just sayin). After extensive research, we choose this model for its pulse feature, removable milk froth system ( for easy cleaning) and the flat white program! Thanks for the demo.

    Does the P.E.P. work on the espresso delivered from the milk-based side? I could hear it on the coffee-only side, but not when you made the americano.

    • @jermcee
      @jermcee 3 года назад

      The P.E.P system only works for smaller drink options like espresso, doppio. I don’t believe it does with the coffee, americano, nor the milk based drinks. That’s why the milk based drinks come out a lighter color.

    My E8 is on its 4th year and still going strong. Just ordered the 2. gen milfoamer and the smart app plugin.
    I have the "fine foam" frother and it produces better foam than baristas is the same quality everytime.
    The only caveat is that the machine cannot display the number of cups that have been made. You need to get the smart app plugin to get that info.

    Thanks for the new Jura Z6 I just got last week from you. This thing rocks. Just trying to find the right grind setting for Super Crema beans for an espresso. Do I go the finest on this machine or is that too fine? Also want to point out in the video. The pulsating only works on espressos or other drink under 2.0 ounces, if you make a coffee it will not use the P.E.P. Keep up the great vids.

    @Gail - I'm not sure if you are still monitoring this older review, but I'm considering an E8 or Miele CM6350. There are multiple people drinking coffee drinks in my house, but I only care about espresso. I have a Rancilio Silvia and have never been able to get a pull that compares to the richness of my local coffee roaster. Will the E8 or CM6350 do a better job than the Silvia? Clearly, the Silvia cannot compete with a professional $25k system operated by a trained pro, but I would love to get closer with a fully automatic.

      I wanted a Jura coffee machine for the longest time, but couldn't quite substantiate paying that much for "just" a coffee machine in a 2 people household. My Nespresso machine finally died after over a decade of use, which had me rethink my options. I went for the Jura e8 and oh boy! the difference it's like day and night! I am so exhilarated about my buy and I am looking forward to getting up as early as possible, so to enjoy one or two cups of coffee. Go for it! Enjoy!

      but what broke about it?
      I've read a lot of people are upset they messed it up with oily beans from starbucks and thats just kinda your own fault then. But obiously not everyone does that. So how did your 3 break? What did jura say about it?
      How long did the machines last? you say over the years... is that 5? or 20?
      I really want superautomatic around (1k-1,5k euro), as far as i can tell they all have mostly good but some bad reviews. Im mostly thinking between the Jura E8 and the Gaggia Bablia.. both have mostly good but some negative reveiws. It sucks both only seem to last 5-7 years.. i cant really pick between them... i just want easy nice coffee.

      @@iStrong113 aha good to hear from a fellow coffee lover!
      I bit the bullet about 6 months ago, and bought a jura E8 after i found out they sell them in Germany for 350 euro less, and i live close to the boarder. Great bargain for a half hour drive.
      so far it's been running like a dream. i do keep up with the cleaning cycles, filters, ect. coffee and milk foam are absolutely great. finding the right beans is important. at first i was really disappointed but it turned out i just didn't care for that coffeebean.
      Why do coffeemachine break around the 5 year mark? boilers for your house last longer. fridges last longer. why would a coffemachine have to break so fast? in an office i get it, a lot of use, no one feels truly responsible for cleaning. but at home?
      *(I am actually asking, because I've been reading that everywhere so you seem to be completely right. But i don't really understand why that is the norm.).
      that being said, mine is doing great! hoping to enjoy it for a long time! what do you have?

    • @AntonFlier
      @AntonFlier 3 года назад

      @@iStrong113 that sounds great! I'm having a lot of fun with my machine.
      i think changing the settings might help with the flavour of the espresso. the biggest thing you can do is try different beans tho. I've had a bag that i just couldn't get to taste nice, but switching to other beans made a huge difference.i would advise once you buy your own bags to buy some smaller ones, so you don't have to finish a whole kilo, and don't end up with several open bags. for me beans had a biggest impact. and it's fun to taste some different beans!
      i too prefer milk drinks. but if you have a really good bean, espresso tastes great too. but that is such a consecrated flavour in a small cup. if the bean/roast isn't great or to your taste, there is no way to hide it in an espresso.
      i hope you'll enjoy your E8 as much as i do! welcome to the family!

      Oily beans don't hurt the machines, but oily beans are not usually good beans. The oily beans get stuck in the grinder. This is true of all good grinders.

    Hi there! Question for ya! With the flat white on the E8, do I need to manually maneuver the Professional Fine Frother dial to get the silky froth, and then move the frother dial to get the cappuccino froth on top? Does it do it automagically? If I do have to manually do this, then couldn't I make a Flat White on a Jura F8 TFT if I bought the connected system Professional Frother for it? Does that make sense?

    I had the Delonghi Eletta Capachino Top and had a few problems with it it was repaired twice in 2 months and the other issue was the milk was always luke warm. We have since returned the machine.

    also My wife likes a weak Piccolo Latte and I like a long double shot flat white, will tjis machine accommodate both drinks without much trouble?

    Question: If memory serves me correctly, one cannot adjust the milk temperature on this Jura model so can you tell us the average temperature of the frothy milk produced? I noted in a comparison video between the Miele CM 6310 and the Jura A9, you commented the milk from the Jura unit was though slightly thicker, it was much cooler and this seems to be a regular posted comment on various websites. We are leaning toward the purchase of the Jura E8 but have concerns about the milk temperature, especially since this unit does not have a cup warmer like the Miele CM 6310. Thank you!

    • @SeattleCoffeeGear
      @SeattleCoffeeGear  7 лет назад

      Correct, the E8 does not have adjustable milk temp. Jura only includes that option on their higher-end machines. The milk temp on Juras, in general, seems to be hotter than in most other superautomatic machines.

    • @georgewhittle5639
      @georgewhittle5639 7 лет назад

      Many thanks for the prompt response! Would it be possible to get an actual temperature range for the milk exiting from the steamer/frother on this machine? I find actual measurements to be more helpful than subjective comparisons to other non-specific machines. Thank you!

    How could i know if coffee bean are oily?
    What kind of coffee bean are suitable for the jura e8?

    • @SeattleCoffeeGear
      @SeattleCoffeeGear  6 лет назад

      If you pick up a handful of coffee beans and they leave a residue on your hands - or if you can see residue on the inside of a bag of beans - that means they are oily, and hence, freshly roasted. Lighter roasts aren't as oily, so don't expect as much residue as you'd find with a darker roast. Take a look at our selection at bit.ly/1KCZufx most coffees will specify in the reviews what beans are good for what brew methods. Our sales staff is also available on chat to help you with any purchases..

    which one is better between E8 and F8? which one do you prefer?

    • @jabramsja
      @jabramsja 7 лет назад +1

      I had the F8, then decided to get the E8. So, I've had time with both. I prefer the E8 over the F8 just a little bit. The E8 has more technology. The E8 has P.E.P, which produces a little bit of a fuller espresso, although it isn't mind blowing. The E8 also has the G3 Aroma Grinder which supposedly leaves less ground coffee in the grinder, allowing for fresher beans. Also like how the E8 has the drip tray sensor, where the F8 does not. The E8 has the option to make a Flat White (my favorite drink so far), but I assume you could manually make a Flat White on the F8 if you really wanted to. The E8 comes with the Fine Professional Frother, which allows better control over consistency of the milk foam. The F8 comes with the regular Fine Frother, but the Professional Frother can be purchased separately (about a $100). The E8 is a lot more expensive than the F8. The Jura E8 is about $1900 if you buy it new. The F8 is about $1400 or so. The one thing I really like on the F8 that the E8 doesn't have is the rotary dial that shows pictures of the drinks that you can pick from.
      Bottom line is, they are both good machines. The E8 has newer technology built in, but at the end of the day, I can't say I really noticed much of a difference in taste and overall functionality between the machines. If you are on a budget spring for the F8. If you want to be fancy, buy the E8.
