One other positive of the E8 is that it uses the new milk cleaning system. You just put the container in place and the machine does the rest. There are more steps with the S8 (older style cleaning). Having said that we ordered the S8 for our daughter.
I still don't get the same extraction and that full body from automatic machines as I do from my Gaggia Classic Pro at home. Waiting eversys to build one for home use.
Hi William, thank you for your question! 😀 Both machines are self-cleaning. With the E8, however, the machine pulls water from its water tank during milk system cleaning. With the S8, it is done by the user.
@@rhulcy Yes. Its more important too watch how much protein it has, than fat. The foaming comes from protein. I am using 0.5% fat with 4% protein. So my cappuchino only has 20-25callories a glass.
Nice review! Fits the premium chrome bean cover of the s8 also on the e8? Thinking about replacing it on my e8 with the premium cover of the s8. Thanks!
Great comparison! I'm deciding between the E8 and S8 now as my old F7 (probably 15 years old) is dying. Probably a stupid question, but is there a button on either for just a plain "coffee"? Or is that essentially what an americano is? My F7 seems to make regular coffee like the S8 made the americano you showed, and I'm hoping to not have a shot of espresso followed by separate hot water, like the E8.
I bought the E8 based on your previous video. Can I buy and replace the milk frother with the Jura Professional Fine Foam Frother G2 (S8 frother) so that I can have steamed and frothed milk? I would like to have steamed milk to prepare flat white and cafe au lait (yes, I know the milk is not technically scalded for the cafe' au lait)
Hi Jay! Congratulations on the purchase! Yes, absolutely. You can get the PFF Frother that will enable you to choose steamed milk and milk foam just like on the S8. Enjoy your new machine 😁
Well you can have your own Profile on your App with the E8. S8 comes with the Wife Stick, E8 does not. You have to buy it for 20€. But also the most important that : E8 does cost 60% less. And has the same breaving system. I dont see the reason to invest 600$ more just to have the other milk system and touch screen. And Americano without fresh water is just a normal Coffee. Its not even the same taste. Cause extracting coffee through the puck taste more bitter. It has to be the reason why Espresso is made from 35-40ml. For me having the fresh hot water is more gamebreaking than the milk system.
Hi Fabio, thank you for your question! You can use filtered water and opt to descale the machine instead. Distilled water is not really recommended, since the machine still needs to register the mineral content in the water used. (it's also better for the taste =)
Great video. Does the new 3D Brew technology of the E8 make a noticeable difference compared to the S8 (to an experienced espresso drinker)? Thank you!
Hi! Thank you for your question! The improvements brought in with the E8 might not be noticeable to every palate when compared to the S8, but it is objectively a more advanced brew technology, especially in comparison to prior units. If you’d like some more details about how the two machines differ, please don’t hesitate contacting our ever helpful sales team. Happy brewing! 😁
Hi Sonja! Any kind of coffee works in the machine. Therefore, you can experiment with different brands & blends. We don't recommend *dark roast/flavoured beans* that are oily (ex. french roast). Also, all coffees that we carry can be used in the Jura machines. Visit one of our showrooms, if you'd like to try 😀
@@FaemaCanada Great review! I typically use French roast beans and wondered why you would not recommend them for either of these Jura machines? Do the oils cause them to clog? Thanks.
The brands are work and taste best for you))) I personally only using fresh beans from local small personal roast shops. Having 1 month roasted beans with best quali and normal W/e lavazza beans makes huge difference. The reason is the grocery beans are more darker is, that you dont need good rare beans for it. The taste of the fruit and the sweet and sour is losing ar dark roast. Yeah, you need to pay more for better quality beans. But its not a huge almount. So Lavazza beans cost 15€ 1kg, and good local beans are like 22-25€. So its only 5cent more per cup. But the taste is like 10 times better.
Hi Eli, thank you for your question. There can be a little bit of coffee on the actual drip tray, however, it should not be a considerable amount. If this persists, please contact our hospitality department for more guidance. Thank you
Nice comparison and information, thank you! The E8 is the clear winner for me.
Good choice!

Both are great machines. Enjoy! 😀
Great review. Very clear. Thank you. I just bought the S8.
Thanks for watching! 😀

im upgrading to the Z10 from the S8, hope it was a good upgrade. datejust in one video and do i spot a tudor in this one?
Hi! Congrats on the new machine!
Also, good eye, you’re correct 😄
Doesn't the E8 have a self cleaning feature that the S8 does not have?
Hi William, thank you for your question! 😀
Both machines are self-cleaning. With the E8, however, the machine pulls water from its water tank during milk system cleaning. With the S8, it is done by the user.
Thank you so much for your review. Another question - which milk is best to use for foaming. Whole, 2%, 1%, skim?
Hi Sonja! Our favourite is homogenized milk. However, any milk works in the machine (except for coconut due to its very thick texture) 😀
@@FaemaCanada does that mean hemp, soy, cashew, almond and flax would work as well?

Do teď používám Nespresso , ale uvažují o koupi jura e8 🤔
Thank you for this, im buying one and I think yhe E8 is the clwar winner.

Does the E8 grind twice for a double espresso?
Yes

How easy is it to change the milk frother on E8 with the S8 frother?
You can only when you have older E8, 2021 model is not compatible with Jura Professional Fine Foam Frother G2
Also, can you add the adjustable frother from the S8 to the E8?
Hi William! Great question.
Yes, you can get the frother attachment for your E8 and have both foamed and steamed milk 😁
@@FaemaCanada do you have a part number for this that will work with my 15400 model?

If you use distilled water in both would you still need the water filter?... Those filters can get pretty pricey

Is that E8 the first gen? The E8's in vid's by Whole latte love use an E8 which has the same switchable milk lever! ????
Hi, thank you for your question. This is the 3rd generation of the E8. The milk frother has only one setting here - micro-foam froth.

I recently bought a Jura S8, I keep finding dry grinned coffee in the back of the slide tray wasting coffee. Is it normal?
