- Most North Country residents born before the 1960's remembers the moment they heard the Egans were murdered at an I-81 rest area, near Watertown, NY. Peter, Gerald Egan and Petter's wife Barbara were known as local trouble makers who robbed from local residents and businesses. This video includes an interview with the two authors who wrote the book, as well as recreations of the events leading up to the murders on December 31st, 1964. Glenn Curry talked to authors David Shampine and Daniel Boyer at the same diner the Egan gang frequented on Lower Court St. Watertown. This version includes (:20) additional seconds to the crucial murder scene at the rest stop. This docudrama is short short of 75 minutes in length.
