@susansmith6737 Do you want to know when people lose respect for you? It's when you lie about something that is easily looked up. The largest amount of people that I have found was 2000 at his coronation. Since then it has dropped off steadily. There weren't hundreds of them present or protesting.

The King does seem to prefer that diamond jubilee State Coach. He uses it quite often.
Not only is it the newest in the livery, I also read that it has both heat and air conditioning.
Although I wonder how they get both of those to work without a motor!

Yes, I think you missed something 😉 It's because he would then have been higher in rank than she was - which couldn't be allowed, as she was the monarch. It was the same with Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert. The wife of a reigning male monarch is the queen, but it doesn't work the other way round.
