Hey, great video! I had an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner that did a great job cleaning the bowl. They’re about $80 new on Amazon. Great for getting the crud out of lots of small stuff. I also bought your jewelry cleaner acid. Works great 👍

@@i_am_gumby205 yeah but this video is more for the everyday joe that just wants to clean his porch today. Not wait for an 80 dollar cleaner. A carb is only 20 bucks. These cleaners also dont work for my mower shop. I do about 30 carbs a day. I dont have time to wait. They do work if you have one though.

bought one of these used, wouldn't stay running with choke off, i took apart and cleaned and i don't have that longer tube at 7:54 at all. I checked, it's not there at all. What gives? Did somebody attempt to repair and leave that part out? Would that cause this condition of not running unless choke is on? The jet was completely blocked, i tried everything, carb cleaner wouldn't work and i don't have the acid. I had to go to harbor freight and pick up some tiny drill bits that worked perfectly to get a passage in there.

Great video! I went ahead and replaced the carb after the gasket expanded during cleaning disassembly. The new carb does the same thing. Shuts off after turning to run. Any other ideas?

Great video, Picked up a couple of great new tricks. Thanks. The acid part was my favorite.
What is the acid ok to use on? You said not to use on brass or it will etch, but aren’t the jets brass. Will it not affect flow rate.

Yes but they are fine. Its where the needle valve goes. I try to keep it out of that.

Since almost everyone ends up with a dirty carburator after the first year, shouldn't they figure out a better way to keep the carburator clean? Is it even possible?
